- Susan (10/5): A piece of paradise above the Ponga river - A perfect place for a couple or family to spend time in a beautiful and friendly mountain village. The views are absolutely spectacular and the house lets you enjoy them whatever the weather! Lots of walking on the doorstep, and the Parque Natural de Ponga is on the doorstep: a fabulous, relatively undiscovered area of gorges, forest and sharp mountain peaks, a good alternative to the neighbouring Picos de Europa. Communication with owners was excellent, and the house was equipped with all we could need (toilet paper, washing-up liquid, tea towels, towels, bedding etc). A long drive to any shops or bars so bring plenty of food and drink and have the perfect escape! Loved the free range eggs the owners left us too! Thank you for sharing this perfect place with us. We loved everything, but a foldaway table would have been useful
