Guest Reviews
- Kawika (3/5): It was a poor stay into that property. - I like the location. It is not far from the square(Metro station) and the Taskim Town. The property was completely dirty. I have complained for the first time. Then they changed me the room. This second one was dirty sa well. There were. Insect coming out the mattress up to the duvets. I have video of them all.
- Anca (1/5): Shock and Horror! - Shock and Horror! Shock and Horror!
During our first night at the accommodation, at the end of December (winter), we were given a freezing cold room with NO HEATING SOURCE WHATSOEVER, in what seemed like an abandoned or under-demolition building. In the hallway, there were cats, and the whole place smelled strongly of cat excrement. The only other room on our floor appeared abandoned or uninhabitable. There was NO HOT WATER in the sinks, only ice-cold water. Shock and horror!
For the next two nights, we finally managed to get another room, but even though it had a radiator, the heating barely worked, so it was still cold. However, at least we had hot water.
Before each of the three different rooms we were moved to (across three nights), we had to wait for well over an hour each time before getting access to the rooms. The first "accommodation" was in a rundown building in a poor neighborhood where nobody responded at the entrance. Eventually, someone from across the street saw us waiting and called the owner. After about an hour of waiting, someone came and took us to another location, in a different building, on a different street, where the reception was actually located. There, we had to wait another one to two hours before getting a room—the same freezing cold room with no hot water I previously mentioned.
The second day, we were moved yet again to a different room, but once again, we had to wait over an hour at the reception to receive it. This means several hours of our Istanbul trip were wasted waiting at reception instead of enjoying the city.
The third and final room was just as disappointing:
• There was no stove, even though it was listed in the reservation.
• The toilet seat was broken.
• The shower doors wouldn't close properly.
• The TV had no cables or remote control, so it was completely useless.
• The breakfast advertised on Booking did not exist.
• The air conditioning unit had no remote and most likely didn't work.
- Shawq (7/5): Good -
- Ahlam (1/5): Bad - It was near the vfs, As well as bus station It was in a absolutely dirty street and slum. There was no reception at all, when i arrived there, i had to call the
Number that denoted, to receive the kies.
The room, the bathroom and the condition was awfully terrible. I slept that night in a cold and dirty room.
- Akil (2/5): Overall it was a terrible experience for me and I would not recommend it even to my worst enemy. - ONLY THE LOCATION The advertisement was misleading. I was given a totally different room on level 6 with no elevator to access it and without internet or washing machine. I had to argue with the property manager to be given a similar room and only ended up getting a slightly better room on ground floor but much smaller, after threatening to call the tourist police. the service was terrible and they had no breakfast even though I paid for it in advance. their excuse is that the information on the advertised website is outdated and they don't offer breakfast anymore. I didn't get a refund either.
- Nina (1/5): Bad - nothing at all The apartment does not match the description in the app.
The apartment was not cleaned. The bed linen and towels were very old and dirty.
There was no hot water in the kitchen.
There are traces of mold in the bathroom and everything smells of mold.
no cleaning. We are totally disappointed.
- Nishit (1/5): I want my refund - There was nobody at my reservation, I had to find an accommodation somewhere else I want my refund
- Kabir (1/5): I was disappointed - I like that the room looks new It's like the rooms are not cleaned before a customer checks. Body hair all over the place. No internet, Poor laundry services.
- Albrkoli (1/5): Wasn't as i expected,
Ok - Nothing No AC no cleaning not helpful people no wifi
Nothing working at this hotel unless getting paid for nothing
- Zaynab (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erol (1/5): Worst , Terrible, Horror - The place in Beyoğlu was very awfully.İn the evening (not night),you need to be careful, to be not robbed...(The place is to compare with Bronx or Harlem in New York or New Delhi in India. When you want to have a big horror stay in Istanbul. With broken Toilet, broken Shower, trash in front of your window.A bacteria infection kitchen ,then you are welcome in Red Tent Horror Hostel. But first you need to fight to get this room and the keys - 😂 - I took pictures so it's really not a joke or I'm angry....this can be not count as accommodation, and I think not as real estate.
- Yao (1/5): Bad - Horrible place!! No locks in the rooms, nobody to check me in. Had to flee the place.
- Abir (1/5): Cleaning service and hospitality is a must - Nothing The place wasn't clean there was a lot of cockroach especially at night the cleaning lady doesn't clean the room as expected in other hotels .
The air-conditioner is not working at all .
Your people should learn English to communicate with foreigners
- Quirina (1/5): Our stay in the hotel was bad, the heat was too much and the air conditioning was not working - The location was not too far from the city centre. The room and address advitised on booking.com was not the real room nor address. We had to ask around and was redirected to a different address The room had no windows, the air conditioning was not working properly, the kitchenette stove was not working, the room was dirty, the bathroom shower cubicle was not draining properly so there was always standing water on the floor. There was no lift so we had to use the stairs which was not easy. Other travellers were also complaining about their rooms, one lady was sitting at the reception late at night and when we asked her why she said her room was very dirty and had animals running around her room. Another gentleman was complaining to the receptionist that he wanted to change his room because the air conditioner was not working and he could not work in soo much heat. He was advised to use star buck Caffè which was a few minute walk from the property. The rooms are not fit for purpose and this hotel should not be advitised on booking because it is deceiving. What attracted us to the hotel was the low price, "you get what you pay for". But in this instance "you get worse than what you pay for".
- Akram (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ahmad (1/5): Bad - When we fisrt arrived the hotel there wasn’t someone to welcome us or to help us find our room we even called the owner many times he didn’t answer and we weren’t the only people facing this problem for the first night rented another hotel that is close to the hotel we booked and i didn’t expect the booking to have rent options like those hotels because it was awfully dirty and awfully bad and there was only 4 rooms in the whole hotel
- Ilia (1/5): Terrible. - nothing I am deeply disheartened to report a very unpleasant stay at this property, which was significantly below my expectations. The listing online boasted amenities such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a washing machine, and essential bathroom supplies. However, upon arrival, I was dismayed to find that none of these were present. This false advertising is absolutely unacceptable and misleading for any guest.
Furthermore, the condition of the apartment was appalling. The floors were marred with unsightly stains and remnants of peeling paint, contributing to an overall sense of neglect and disrepair. To my dismay, the location of the apartment was in a highly undesirable and rundown area, which can only be described as a slum. The poor sanitary conditions of the surroundings were blatantly obvious and deeply concerning.
Adding to the discomfort, the frequent presence of police officers questioning passersby in the vicinity created an atmosphere of insecurity and unease. This constant reminder of potential safety issues was disturbing and made my stay far from relaxing. It's unfortunate to say that this experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider booking this property.
- Far (1/5): The place was the most uwful place in istanbul - The price is good They dont have parking it's a lie,and there is no any staff there, you are alone there and no one will cleat up the room even in 10 days
- Zhihong (1/5): Don’t send messages to the owner,he never replies. You must call him. - Nothing It is written on the Internet that there is a net, there is air conditioner, there is a washing machine, and there are toilet supplies……but there is nothing. And there are paint and stains on the ground. The apartment is located in a slum, and the sanitary environment is very poor. There are often police officers who ask passers-by nearby, which makes people feel unsafe.
