Guest Reviews
- Tammi (7/5): action packed - proximity stairs
- Shermam (3/5): Poor -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (8/5): Family trip - It was really close to the city. Also I forgot there my charger and the owner manage it’s way to give me it back.
- Ting (8/5): Very good -
- Sze (7/5): Comfortable stay but has the potential to be so much better - The house is big, spacious and comfortable. With Netflix, kitchen is equipped and as silly as this sound, it has the best shower. Hot water, good pressure. It is just a short drive to the shops and the beach and all attractions. There is a distinctive odd smell around the kitchen and the rooms smelled bit musty. The place is a bit runned down but so much potential if the owners just fix up a few bits and pieces of the house.
- Simon (1/5): Disappointed - Location That the toilet door locked and we could not access this. The owner would not offer a refund
- Cherrington (1/5): Bad -
- Clif (7/5): We enjoyed but value hygiene… - Well equipped mostly. Furniture often poor or broken. A good clean would benefit. Some basic maintenance would improve experience.
- Hongyu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tran (9/5): Great decorate house rooms and furniture, all necessary stuffs are available - Great decorate house rooms and furniture, all necessary stuffs are available. The cleaner was so nice with a XMas gift when we join around Xmas period.
- Penny (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tran (10/5): Great place to enjoy with my family, will come back another time :) - Quite, clean, facilitate on transportation
- Cherry (4/5): Needs attention - Good location Dirty, bathroom cupboard broken, lamp broken, jug black , no coffee or tea etc
- Alex (7/5): Good -
- Makaila (8/5): Very good -
- Pulikkottil (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic property.Spacious.Good kitchen.Excellant location.Easy access.Loved staying there. Nothing
- Tanya (7/5): Good - Location was excellent. Felt a bit grubby with old cupboards with doors not closing properly and not looking clean & cracks in walls, blinds looked dirty. Design wise a great unit just needs fixing up to a better standard for letting out.
- Narelle (8/5): Close to Sandy Bay waterfront - Location was close to walks along the Sandy Bay waterfront. Could walk into Hobart. Off street parking. Having a kitchen helped to keep our costs down.
The heaters worked well.
Both beds were comfy with plenty of pillow choices.
Would stay again.
Reasonable cost. Pots missing. No handle on the frying pan. Very limited bowls for breakfast.
Needs a light over the dining table. Perhaps a floor lamp in that area.
Advertised as a sofa bed. We had 4 work colleagues: One couple, 2 not. The sofa bed was a sofa lounge and not long enough for our needs. We brought an air mattress and sleeping bag in the case that the sofa was not suitable. Fine for a child.
- Rendy (9/5): Superb -
- Benjamin (8/5): Amazing value considering the location. - All in all, it was amazing for the price. The location was great, and everyone was very helpful. Also, it was comfortable and warm. The stairs were wide enough to be OK (we knew it had stairs when renting it). The beds were comfortable, and it was so close to everything. There is an EV charger within walking distance as well. There was a little bit of a mouldy smell in the master bedroom. This is probably hard to get rid of, but it is mainly in the linen in there. The aircon did not work when I first got there, but I googled the remote and repaired it (it was a universal "100-in-1" remote, but it was set to the wrong code for some reason). The heater in the other bedroom sparked a couple of times, so a replacement cheap heater wouldn't hurt, and neither would smoke alarms in the bedrooms. Also, the bathroom has a "soft spot" under the tiles. It has its flaws, and it is certainly not 'fancy', still, it was worth it.
- Wantanee (5/5): Passable -
- Sergey (4/5): Disappointing - The house was very spacious, and it was very easy to get to. Unfortunately, the AC (heater) in the living room wasn't working, and when we arrived, it felt colder inside than outside. Overall, it meant that it was very uncomfortable to be anywhere except the two bedrooms, which had small heaters.
- Tony (7/5): Good - Good Location. The heater wasn't working. The heater indicator turn on but it wasn't doing the job.
The blankets and the sofa were stained.
- Daniel (10/5): The Peter's family - The accommodation is very spacious with two large bedrooms with your own kitchen large lounge room smart TV with your own dining table and bathroom with a bath tub very happy good value for money and location 😀 There wasn't much we didn't like part from the heating in the bedrooms and lounge room It gets very cold There is a small portable heating fan available
- Dianne (9/5): Excellent value for money - Excellent value for money. Quiet location near restaurants. Comfortable beds. Off street parking. Host gave good instructions. Google directions wrong (NOT host's fault). Easier to find house without google.
- Seen (8/5): Very good - Great value for money
Excellent location
Perfect for our family Only dislike was bed
No broom to clean up
Vacuum was useless.
- Shuang (8/5): Very good -
- Daisy (4/5): It wasn’t recommendable needs more looking after cleanliness is very very poor, Chinese downstairs don’t speak English s - It was dirty very untidy, shrubs all over the property, trees needs pruning garden needs cleaning. Heater is not working. Location to the cbd
- Carol (3/5): Not suitable for families. Very very basic - It was cheap. Close to the bus stop Shabby, musty. No milk for the morning and we arrived late, so no way to make a cuppa in the morning. Host does not speak except in grunts. One tv and our teenager was pretty unhappy with that. One couch and no other sitting chair. Not suitable for families
- Andrew (4/5): I won’t stay at this property again - It was clean with good hot water There was no heating in the unit the split system did not work making it very uncomfortable of a nighttime and first thing of a morning
- Janmarie (9/5): Superb -
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional - Good location Wifi didn’t work
- Dianne (6/5): Needs some work too many stairs photos of the house are not what are on internet, railing into bedrooms and bathroom ne - Close to everything Stairs
- Boota39 (8/5): Very good - Close to hobart centre markets , close to water . Had a musty smell when we first opened door.
Lounge had stains on it .
- Nicholas (8/5): We needed a place to stay for a short time. It met those needs. - Spacious. Two comfortable beds. Lounge suite though comfortable has a broken back rest and is grease stained.
- Kevin (9/5): Pleasant and full of memories - Location is great. Very clean. Nothing.
- Noel (7/5): Good - The proximity to hobart and surrounds was great Needs a good freshen up
- Van (9/5): Superb - Great location Nothing
- Graham (9/5): It was perfect for our needs, may well stay again sometime. - Great location. Wonderful size and layout. Had everything we needed.
- Namitha (8/5): Very good -
- Shao (3/5): Poor - Location is good The house is mildew. It smells bad.
- Jonathan (4/5): Disappointing - Good location. A large space for decent price. Not straightforward to find (do not use Google maps as it will direct you to someone else's house), we had to call the owner multiple times and finally went off a photo sent to us to identify the property. We booked the property for 3 people as the advertisement claims 2 rooms and a sofabed. There were two rooms and a sofa (NOT bed). So, one of us was very uncomfortable. The heating did not work the first night as they had disconnected the power to the aircon from the outside. Then the universal remote for the airconditioner did not work and had to be configured to work with the actual unit. There is only one heating unit that works, so all doors of the bedrooms needed to be kept open and the person sleeping crunched up on the couch overheated. "Free" parking was a bit misleading as there are two spaced, but they were taken up by the people renting the downstairs apartment so we had to park on the road.
- Dillon (9/5): Superb -
- Tj (7/5): Good - Nice quiet property, close to shops and attractions. Really enjoyed stay, however could think of two improvements:
1) Use this location link in description/ instructions https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ugkjw8rA2zKNKWiQ6
Because Google maps will send you to back lane way if you type in 9A Waimea.
2) Could use a general spring clean of cobwebs/ dust
- Kobi (1/5): Worst stay I've ever had ! - Absolutely nothing We didn't have a great experience. For one there was NO hot water. But for the worst part we couldn't sleep in our beds due to there being blood on our sheets, which lead to us needing to find last minute accommodation else where. Been waiting 2 weeks for a refund and still nothing just a big stuff around wouldn't recommend this to anyone
- Arthur (6/5): Pleasant - Reasonable location on a quiet street with a good view of the Derwent River. The owners were reliable with responding to messages. A four bed unit with lounge chairs for two people. Not enough blankets to keep three people warm during cold Hobart nights.
There were no plates, teapot, coasters, or coffee maker, and the cutlery drawer looks like something in a jumble sale. No automatic lights on the external stairs, making them dangerous at night.
- Anonymous (7/5): It was in good location and value for money. - Was like joke but. I prefer motel style. Stairs
- Jason (9/5): Close to Utas - Close to Utas which suits us. Thanks and see you next time.
- Jason (10/5): Location Location. - Great location, friendly staff great location.
Thanks for everything. Some dinner plates would be handy.
- Chris (8/5): Good accomodation that suited our expectations. Was only there at night time but was comfortable. - Plenty of room Stairs were not easy for an older person
- Hyosu (10/5): Exceptional - All good for us. Nothing
- Jihye (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nishel (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were.great, very flexible with requests. Easy to deal with. Hats off to Casey. Pillows would've been a little better but you can't expect everything when there's value.
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable - It was comfortable. - The address for Google is wrong and led us to wrong address
- The taps for the bath were back to front and my daughter nearly got burnt.
- Lack of cooking facilities. One pot.
- Hassan (7/5): Good -
- Ravi (10/5): Good Comfortable stay - Everything which is mentioned is available.
Stayed for 7 days.
Comfortable beds.
Villa staff was contactable by mobile.
Friendly staff
Great location to shops, restaurant.
Kitchenware.
Would definitely stay next time if visiting Tasmania. 1)Due to weather change it got colder few days ,
As there was no heater in bedrooms iit got cold in bed rooms.
We informed staff last day rather should have informed on day1.
2) some more.kitchenware can be added.
3) Make sure to check for heaters in bed rooms before booking .next time.
- Nelria (6/5): It is value for money, for a family that wants to explore. Its not romantic and has no TV channels - There was no breakfast, so you pay to sleep, but cappuchino sachets was included The house was not clearly marked at all (a house name or marker should be put up). The kitchen tap was broken, (a plumber can easily fix it, it runs but hangs down into sink). The fridge had a odor (perhaps it need to be cleaned or freshened with air freshener inside) the light in the front entrance shorts out so also needs to be fixed. Also please put some glasses for kids, there is only wine glasses
- Linda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jacqueline (8/5): Great location, not a good look at first appearance downstairs - Clean bed & comfortable plenty of tea coffee shampoo & conditioner cleaning detergent. More cooking vessels
- Monica (4/5): Untrue reviews. The place would get a -10 for cleanliness - Beds were comfortable. Location was great. Owners friend Sharon was very helpful bringing her own supplies from her home. The owner did bring us to his restaurant the first night as we were unable to cook If we could have gotten alternative accommodation we would have left. The place was filthy. Food was in glassware crockery and microwave oven. There was mould over the wall and doors. The garden was overgrown. Spider webs were everywhere including under the carport. There were no teatowels or hand towels. I could keep going. Booking.com were not very helpful. All they did was call the owner who couldn't speak English. Requested alternative accommodation but still haven't heard back. Unable to load photos as every time I do I get logged out. Will try again
