The hotel is quite cozy, with a small number of guests, so it feels very relaxing and private. Loads of animals come to the pool area, like giant lizards or monkeys.

Echt een toplocatie, met veel restaurantjes in de buurt en op loopafstand van Manuel Antonio NP. Veel dieren in de directe omgeving, zoals toekans, kapucijnaapjes en veel iguanas. • Joanne (9/5): Luxury in the jungle - The way the property is designed is wonderful. You feel like you are living in luxury in the jungle. The rooms are all tucked neatly into the foliage and it feels very calm and relaxing. I loved the iguanas that often spend time around the pool area. The bed and pillows are also extremely comfortable. It is also great that the hotel provides beach towels. There were a couple of very minor things that could have been improved. The window in the bathroom felt unfinished with just rough plastering instead of a shelf or sill. We had a fault light on our air conditioning unit that was on the whole time and the shampoo and shower gel were low quality. But, these are relatively minor imperfections.

• Roland (9/5): Optimale Lage zu Nationalpark und Strand - Unsere Suite war ausreichend groß und zweckmäßig ausgestattet (unter anderem mit Kühlschrank und Safe). Positiv waren die große Dusche und 2 Waschbecken im Bad. Im Poolbereich gibt es Liegen und Beschattung sowie eine Poolbar mit täglicher Happy Hour von 16 bis 18 Uhr. (Harmlose) Leguane besuchen immer wieder den Poolbereich! Kapuzineraffen turnen auf den Bäumen vor den Zimmern. Die Frühstücksauswahl könnte etwas umfangreicher sein. Im Umkreis von wenigen Gehminuten gibt es einige gute Restaurants, teilweise mit Livemusik. Für einen Besuch des Nationalparks Manuel Antonio und des Strands Playa Espadilla ist die Lage des Hotels ausgezeichnet. Wir haben uns im La Vela sehr wohlgefühlt. —-

Very friendly guy at the reception! Nice swimming pool to cool off after a warm day. We saw some lizards and white faced monkeys at the pool area, as the pool is surrounded by trees and plants. We appreciated that there was a dehumidifier in the room to dry clothes more quickly in this warm, humid climate. Our room wasn't as nice as shown on the pictures of booking.com. The mattresses are in urgent need of replacement; they were worn out in the room we stayed in. Also the sliding door to the bathroom was difficult to open and close.

• Josephine (8/5): Heerlijk hotel, perfect gelegen naast strand en nationaal park - Perfecte locatie, goed ontbijt, lekkere kamer met goede airco, de “huis leguaan” Het restaurant nodigde niet uit voor avondeten aangezien dat vooral werd gebruikt om de pizzas to go in te pakken.

Nous avions aussi un coin extérieur avec table, kitchenette, fort appréciable. L'hôtel est très calme, mais il faut se rappeler que vous êtes dans un des coins les plus touristiques du Costa Rica ! Il y a un petit restaurant juste à droite en sortant de l'hôtel "Bar y Restaurante Relax", excellent rapport qualité/prix pour petits et grands ! Nous avons testé aussi les pizzas de l'hôtel : excellentes !! Passages de Cappucins côté piscine à plusieurs reprises :)) Pensez à réserver 24h à 48h à l'avance vos billets pour le Parc Manuel Antonio sur le site www.sinac.go.cr Merci encore à la jeune femme et au jeune homme de l'accueil qui nous ont bien guidé, et toujours avec le sourire :)))) Quelques parterres supplémentaires pour suspendre les vêtements humides ;)
• Anja Mad. (7/5): Gut gelegen, anonsten nichts Besonderes - Gute Lage zum Manuel Antonio Nationalpark und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Ein gosses Plus waren die Parkplätz gleich beim Hotel, was bei der Parkplatzsituation im Ort extrem hilfreich war. Das Personal an der Reception war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und es gab sogar glutenfreie Pancakes. Im Zimmer war ein modriger Geruch. In der ersten Nacht hatten wir eine durchgelegene Matratze. Diese wurde jedoch nach unserer Reklamation sofort ausgetauscht. Die Kopfkissen waren für eine Person von filigraner Statur zu hoch. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein, die Dusche dagegen sehr grosszügig. Die Poolanlage war für unseren Geschmack etwas beengt.

The pool area is small but perfectly formed and we enjoyed relaxing there. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here. There was nothing we didn’t like but I’d say it was more basic in terms of facilities than other places we had stayed

• Lara (10/5): - We loved that the hotel was a 3-minute walk to the beach, and in the middle of the two main streets in Manuel Antonio. We loved the jungle setting of the hotel, and the intimate pool, dining, bar area. We made friends with other vacationers while we were there in the relaxed setting. Their Wood-Fired Pizza was delicious, we got it twice, and really enjoyed the two-for-one drinks during happy hour at the pool. The resident lizards were cool to watch ch each day that came tothe pool area; and we saw monkeys right outside the front of our hotel, swinging in the trees and from the power lines. I wish the hotel had a lit digital clock in the bedroom. And I wish there had been a little lip to keep the water from the shower from spilling into the floor of the bathroom (room: 20), or that the shower floor had been slightly more tilted toward the drain.

Die Klimaanlage ist extrem leise und war eine der besten auf unserer Costa Rica Rundreise. Die Zimmer sind mitten in einem wunderschönen Garten. Es ist sehr ruhig und die Leute sind super freundlich. Haben uns hilfreiche Tipps für Restaurants gegeben. Nur wenige Minuten sind es bis zum Strand, wo man fantastische Sonnenuntergänge sehen kann. Ein schönes Hotel für den Besuch vom Nationalpark Manuel Antonio. Nichts
• Joachim (5/5): Nur die Lage ist Ok. - Lage zum Parkeingang Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr hellhörig. Laufgeräusche aus oberen Etagen störend. Klimageräte anderer Zimmer deutlich hörbar. Keine dünne Zudecke zum schlafen bei ausgeschalteter Aircon. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht! Ein Boutique-Hotel ist ein kleines, meist privat geführtes Hotel (oft unter 100 Zimmer) mit individuellem Charakter, exklusivem Design und persönlichem, aufmerksamem Service. Sie liegen meist zentral in Metropolen oder an besonderen Orten, bieten eine familiäre Atmosphäre und heben sich durch ihre Einzigartigkeit von standardisierten Hotelketten ab. „Das passt hier nicht!“

• david (9/5): hotel sympathique proche des lieux d'intérêt - L'hôtel est situé à 300m du parc et à 300m de la plus belle plage de l'endroit. Le personnel est très sympathique et à l'écoute. La piscine et l'endroit où on prend le petit déjeuner est très relaxant. Des singes sont venus nous rendre visite, ils nous ont bien amusés. Il faut signaler l'excellent rapport qualité-prix. le décor des chambre pourrait peut-être être amélioré, lampes de chevet, meubles plus jolis... Mais c'est un détail.

• Barbara (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Manuel Antonio - Very well maintained beautiful tropical ground in the hotel and ideally located between the beach and the entrance of the park. It is a small hotel and we enjoyed one evening alone around the pool with cocktail and good pizzas from the stone oven - felt like a private villa. Rooms are very nice and comfortable , and everyone at the hotel is very kind and helpful. There are also lots of nice restaurant around. Would go back.
• Albert (9/5): - Super freundliches Personal an der Rezeption, gutes Frühstück, schöner Pool, Restaurants und Strand zu Fuß gut erreichbar, Nähe zum NP ideal. Am Abreisetag konnten wir noch alle Einrichtungen wie Außendusche, Pool, Handtücher, Parkplatz bis spät in den Nachmittag nutzen, das war genial. Vielen Dank dafür!!!
• Swetlana (10/5): - Un muy buen hotel, muy limpio, camas comodas. El desayuno era muy bueno con opciones a la carta y buffet. La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca del parque Manuel Antonio y muy cerca a la playa. Todo muy bien.

• Jean-Michel (9/5): Parfait hôtel très bien situé pour visiter le parc Manuel Antonio - Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter le parc Manuel Antonio (5mn à pied). Accueil aimable. Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir nous garer sur le tout petit parking, ce qui est un gros plus. Chambre propre, grande salle de bains. Lit King size. Cafetière électrique avec café fourni en quantité. Propreté impeccable. Le petit déjeuner est sans doute le meilleur de ce voyage. Copieux, même si le fromage et la charcuterie sont inconnus au pays. Mais il y a des viennoiseries des yaourts, ce qui est rare. Les ananas sont juteux et sucrés. Contrairement à ce que peuvent laisser croire les photos du site internet, la terrasse donne directement sur les allées internes de l'hôtel de même que la porte/baie-vitrée ce qui ne favorise pas un peu d'intimité. Bon, on a tiré le rideau. Pas grave puisqu'il fait 30° dehors et que la clim marche bien dans la chambre.

• Barbara (10/5): Perfect perfect perfect. One of the best places we have ever stayed even though it was just a small hotel. Loved every m - Everything was perfect. Location, comfort, staff. It is such a lovely little spot, very quiet and cosy, small yet has everything you need. Felt very cosy and relaxed. Pool was lovey rooms were brilliant… Staff was exceptional honestly the couldn’t do enough for you - helping above and beyond. If we come back to Manuel Antonio we will definitely stay at the same place. We had the most brilliant time. Thank you Nothing
• Minervino (10/5): Petit paradis - L'emplacement est idéal et le personnel très accueillant, à l'écoute et très réactif. Les pizzas du restaurant sont excellentes ! Les cocktails pris dans la piscine éclairée le soir....Et surtout les petits singes qui viennent pour manger les noix de coco et vous réveiller très tôt en sautant des cocotiers devant la chambre à la toiture de la chambre, spectacle inoubliable! Rien si ce n'est le vacarme des singes le matin trop tôt mais c'est tellement chouette ensuite de les voir s'amuser qu'on oublie vite

• Devantay (9/5): Situation idéale au calme et très bel hôtel - Très joli hôtel à taille humaine, au calme, situé à 2 minutes de la plage et 3 minutes de l'entrée du parc. Très bon accueil, personnel super sympa, joli coin piscine et bar, pizzas au feu de bois pour un petit creux. Nous avons logé dans la suite master qui était magnifique ! Un gros plus pour la vue sur la nature ! Le seul tout petit bémol est le petit déjeuner qui pourrait être un peu plus fourni mais sinon, vraiment un magnifique endroit pour séjourner.

• JEAN-MICHEL (10/5): a great relaxing place with staff that made it feel like home in an exotic location - good choice for breakfast- with fresh fruit - traditional Huevos Rancheros. with on 200m from beach and 500m from the National Park it was great. There were 7 restaurants within minutes walk. wider choice for lunch other than Pizza which was very good but some accompaniments would have good such as Garlic Bread or salad
• Thomas (9/5): gemütich und schön - Lage nicht weit vom Strand, gutes Lokal neben an. Im Hotel gibt es eine vortreffliche Pizza aus dem Holzofen, es wurde ein zweites Bett im Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt, sehr gutes Frühstück und die tolle Bar am Pool nicht zuvergessen
• GUSTAVO DANIEL (10/5): EXCELENTE EXPERIENCIA EN UN BELLO LUGAR - MUY LINDO HOTEL!!!! Excelente atenciòn del personal, ubicaciòn muy cercana (a pie) de la playa y de la entrada del parque nacional. Todo impecable. Y el desayuno espectacular! Totalmente recomendable.

• Johann Jakob (8/5): Gute Wahl für einen Tag Manuel Antonio und zwei Strandtage - - Lage: ideal zum Nationalpark und zum Strand - Zimmer sind neu renoviert in einer schönen Optik - riesiges Bett mit sehr bequemer Matratze - Trockungsgerät im Badezimmer ermöglicht es, Kleidung zu trocknen - Frühstück sowohl Buffet als auch A la carte, für jeden etwas dabei - Handtücher für den Pool und Strand werden zur Verfügung gestellt Außerdem sind die Mitarbeiter am Empfang und an der Poolbar unfassbar freundlich und hilfsbereit! Sauberkeit im Zimmer/ beim Frühstück war nicht ganz auf dem erwarteten Standard. Zahnputzflecken im Bad am Spiegel und an der Wand zB (von den Gästen vor uns, wurden 2 Tage lang nicht weggewischt bis ich es selbst entfernt habe), Bettwäsche wurde bei 4 Nächten keinmal gewechselt (was bei der Luftfeuchtigkeit nicht sooo toll ist - natürlich wird Nachhaltigkeit als Grund genannt)

The pool was small but enough to enjoy a cool dip and especially around happy hour. The hotel was very compact, so very easy to get around. The pizza dinner option was a bit limited, but there were many good restaurants close by, so not a big issue

• Amanda (10/5): Steal of a value - Very nice boutique hotel. It's located within a 5 minute walk from manuel antonio National Park and the beach! It's such a great spot. The staff was very sweet and the drinks are great!

• MARIANA (5/5): It is okay. - Breakfast was good. But not consistent. Location is okay not far from restaurants, beach and park. But, also close to poor area where my cellphone was stolen. The room was not what I saw in the pictures. No window in the restroom, so extremely humid. The humidifier was extremely noise. Just 2 pillows for a big bed, and the pillow was hard.
