Guest Reviews
- Dale (8/5): Very pleased overall with the Dugg BNB. - Location was central to our plans. Easy in and easy out. Good email communication with host. Overall very clean and everything we needed utensil wise in the kitchen and towels and toiletries in the bathroom. Full size fridge, oven and stove. Overall a quiet and safe neighborhood. Hide-a-bed springs or mattress very noisy when moving around on it, although comfortable.
Bathroom sink needs a small repair on the drain stopper as it does not stay open on its own.
I would maybe suggest a pillow top on the bedroom bed to soften up the firm mattress.
- Larry (10/5): - Super clean and comfortable. . Home away from home. Highly recommend.
- Chris (9/5): Amazing hosts, beautiful property, will stay again. - There was not breakfast provided but there was enough coffee for the entire stay. There was also plenty of spices, condiments and even milk in the fridge. It was located very close to the bus route which allowed me to sightsee while my husband was working. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive. Some additional towel sizes would have been nice, ie: handtowels, larger bath towels, however there were enough provided for the stay and the selection of bath products was outstanding. We would have loved if there would have been tupperware containers to use.
- Paul (10/5): Thanks Sunita, we feel right at home. - Clean, spacious, well maintained, convenient location, everything we need is there.
- Christine (8/5): Would definitely recommend to others, it's great value. - Hosts were very friendly and helpful! My favourite thing about the apartment was the bathroom and kitchen. The sofa bed was not comfortable to sit or sleep on. There was not enough space to put things (needs more shelves and hooks).
- Carla (10/5): - It was on a quiet street.
- Debra (10/5): - Great location and excellent lodging
- Stephan (9/5): -
- Brenda (9/5): - The hostess stocked the fridge with milk and other great items. There were breakfast items in the cupboard. Parking was safe and convenient. There was easy access by car to downtown Victoria. Nearby fruit market and wine store were appreciated. Wish there was a bedside table and light in bedroom.
- Claude (8/5): -
- Ray (9/5): Superb -
- Hiroko (10/5): It was very convenient for my pupae. I stayed in the room and was able work with strong WiFi. I would definitely come ag - Good size for two people. Quiet neighborhood, but close to grocery shops. There was enough heat, but the floor was bit cold. The kitchen fan did not have exhaust pipe to the outside, so I had to open the windows when cooking.
- Nick (9/5): Superb - Excellent little pad ! Quiet
and clean . No egg cups !!😂
- Lori (9/5): Quiet, clean newer suite with easy access. - Quiet, and comfortable suite with excellent shower. Very well-equipped with all the basic supplies. Easy access to major travel access around Victoria and up island. Responsive hosts. Definitely recommend.
- Tara (9/5): Well worth it :) - The location was perfect...just minutes from the ferry and most attractions in the Victoria area. It was a quiet neighbourhood...and the owners of the B & B (who live upstairs) were also very quiet. Not much. A bigger doormat is needed at the entryway; the white dishcloths and tea towels could be replaced with coloured and a paring knife is needed in the kitchen.
- Debra (10/5): By far the best B and B we have ever experienced. Highly recommended. - The B and B was spotless, well located near grocery stores and restaurants and only a short drive from the airport with downtown Victoria only a 10 minute drive in the other direction. The refrigerator was well stocked with a fresh loaf of bread, milk, butter, cream cheese including every condiment you could possibly want. Mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickles, sweet onions, and even salsa to name a few! The pantry contained everything from Tim Horton's coffee, tea, sugar, peanut butter, olive oil, a selection of spices and even a first aid kit, Additionally, the master bed very comfortable, and the sofa bed was already made up with fresh bedding. Parking & WIFI were free. The host even provided multiple charging cables in case you forgot yours. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, face wash, Q-tips, new toothbrushes, extra toilet tissue and plenty of towels and facecloths. The only thing that comes to mind is perhaps the area rugs in the kitchen & bathroom could have anti skid pads underneath. We felt they were a bit of a tripping hazard.
- Lynne (10/5): All in all it was excellent. I liked the fact there was a shower; also that we did our own cooking. - There was no breakfast. We did out own cooking. I liked that fact. Since there were three of us the hide-a-bed was great; we had the bedroom. The bed was high and difficult to get into.
- Raymond (9/5): Superb -
- Olga (9/5): Very good place - Really quite place. Sunita was a wonderful host who was always easy to communicate with. She provided more than we expected, there was everything we needed for a light breakfast. We also bought groceries and cooked our own dinner, there was a stove and fridge in the kitchen.
Definitely recommend this place! nothing
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Allison (10/5): The hosts were very nice. They accommodated us graciously. - It wasn’t far from the city centre and it was a quiet neighborhood. Nothing.
- Tara (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Topazsparkle (5/5): Passable - The kitchen was well stocked if you cook and both the bathroom and kitchen were clean. The living room carpet was dirty as well it really smelled in the living room, I'm not sure if it was the sofa, the carpet or both. The bed was extremely hard, I found it quite uncomfortable.
I don't cook when I travel, what's important to me is a comfortable bed and a clean, nice smelling place. This place fell very short of this.
- Sumeet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Koistinen (9/5): All in all our stay was very good. - We bought groceries and cooked our own breakfast. I liked that there was a stove and fridge in the kitchen and I also liked the shower in the bathroom since I have a mobility problem and need to use a shower. There was bread and jam and condiments in the fridge. The sofabed was not comfortable, and there was a need for more dishcloths.
- Anh (9/5): A comfortable new suite - A new comfortable suite with all plenty of supplies.
- Ashworth (7/5): Good -
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (10/5): Perfect little apartment style unit for our mini getaway - Host was super considerate by having water, milk, bread, cereals, pasta, to name a few things for our 3-night stay. The unit was clean and comfortable. It has everything except the washer and dryer. There was a little store about 11 min walk away called Red Barn Market for food and fruits. It was a little difficult to order an uber in the area before 9a. Yellow cab was our saviour on 2 of those mornings when we need to travel to downtown by 7.30a.
- Ragged (9/5): Superb - Pleasant spacious apartment on the edge of town. Awesome selection of coffee and condiments provided by the host along with milk and cereals for which we were grateful. Comfy bed. The kitchen seemed a little dated - stove was sloping and microwave rickety. Water took a long time to run warm. The apartment is 9 km from town so own transport is essential
- Mk (7/5): Good - -Netflix worked 25% of the time only, it kept stopping after a few minutes of playing a movie. Poor connection
-owners requested payment halfway through our stay instead of at the end of stay
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Mizan (9/5): I strongly recommend this place. - The place was very clean and well organized.
- Pavlina (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely no problems due to key pin sent by the hostess. everything was absolutely OK
- Helen (8/5): Very good -
- Fannie (8/5): Very good -
- Ajai (10/5): Exceptional - Each and every item of need, what a person can think of, was available. That was remarkable and Memorable. It was worth staying
- Deshanee (10/5): Enjoy the stay without any issue, owner’s service was excellent - Cleannesses Didn’t Include laundry and Iorn
- Khristian (8/5): A nice clean and modern stay, convenient to downtown and the ferry terminal. - The directions on how to enter the suite were quite clear, and we had no problem accessing it. The suite appeared to be newly renovated, and was quite modern. We had problems accessing the Roku-TV as the WiFi connection from TV to network required numerous attempts to access, ultimately using a WiFi ID different than the one which was identified on the placard. (of note, the little placards were a great idea. Once the couch was folded out into bed mode there was not much space to navigate around the living room. We found that while the price was probably comparable to other BnBs in Victoria, it was a bit high in comparison to other similar BnBs we have taken elsewhere.
- Swathi (8/5): Very good -
- Rashpinder (10/5): Very nice and safe place in reasonable price . I will recommend this place to stay in Victoria - Really quite place and close to everything like downtown, parliament building etc N/A
- A (8/5): Very good -
- Nichola (8/5): Very good -
- Jean (10/5): Everything is just right. - it is a very clean apartment. Sunita is very good at quickly response. She provided more than we expected. The location is good too. Nothing.
- Chantal (9/5): We were hesitant to book as there had not been reviews on the property (it is new) but were pleased! - There were brand new toiletries and kitchen supplies ready for us, very organized labelled cabinets, and even a few basic groceries for our stay! We were there for a week for a hospital procedure. Outside Victoria center, but not far to drive to any area. Quiet neighborhood, and the owner was very responsive by text or by messaging on the website. There is noise from upstairs (a child, footsteps) as it is a basement suite in the mornings particularly. And the table is just a fold out, having something more stable would be good. The living area is small (we were 3 people) especially when the pull out is unfolded.
- Ronald (1/5): Bad -
- Barbara (10/5): Excellent - it was clean, comfortable and cosy. We were really surprised by how much was supplied by the host. There was everything we needed for a light breakfast. The bathroom was well stocked with cotton buds etc. Definitely recommend this property! The only thing was an uncomfortable sofa bed but then most sofa beds aren’t comfortable.
