• Jane (10/5): - Quarto muito confortável, camas muito boas, roupa de cama e toalha excelentes. O ar condicionado funciona super bem, é silencioso. Cafe da manhã bem completo. A equipe do hotel é muito atenciosa, principalmente a Dolca que nos ajudou em tudo! Fica um pouco longe do centro mas em compensação esta ao lado do Concha Perla.

• Fabien (7/5): - La proximité avec le spot de snorkeling Concha da Perla. Un petit problème dans les réglages de la piscine mais l’établissement a vite résolu le problème et fait un geste commercial.
• M (9/5): Island Vibes and great location - Rustic island vibes, great breakfast and lovely staff. We walked to Concha de Perla each day, we wouldn’t have done this from a property in town. Also minutes from the ferry - walking distance (use a car if you have rolling luggage the path is sand). It can be loud (the wood creaks) for people on the lower levels, not excessive but choose a room on the upper levels for more comfort.
• Tracy (10/5): The best choice we made for our time in the Galapagos. - We can’t say enough good things about the Wooden House. The room was clean, well kept, and had a large bathroom. Dulce, Bella and the rest of the staff were so gracious and helpful. The pool was refreshing as was the pool bar. There are snorkels, fins and googles to borrow to swim. The location is so close to the pier and landing dock, a taxi would only be needed if you travel with large suitcases. Nothing.

Kleine, überschaubare Anlage mit sehr freundlichem Personal Sehr beengtes Bad, viele Mücken weil in unmittelbarer Nähe stehendes Brackwasser ist. Gartenanlage ist klein und bietet keine Privatsphäre
• Lisa (10/5): Great Location & Great Hospitality - The location was amazing. 800 ft from the ferry, easy and safe walk. Less than a mile into town and safe to walk day/night. The room we stayed in was spacious. The food the ladies fix at The Wooden House was excellent. They are hands on from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, so accommodating all the time. The pool was refreshing and the grounds were so safe, cute, quaint, relaxing, and quiet. Helpful in booking tours on site and calling taxis. Anything we asked they did so I don't know that there is anything they would not do for their guests. Great place, definitely would return to The Wooden House. Not negative for The Wooden House but worth noting for travelers: taxis stop operating from town at 7pm.
• Gary (8/5): Comfortable stay convenient to cruise ferry dock - Friendly staff. They provided a transfer from the airport to the hotel for a small charge. They upgraded our room, as we were the only guests in the hotel. Very nice, open common room with comfortable chairs and hammocks. Good breakfast. The pre-arrival communication could have been better. I had asked if there was a restaurant onsite and had specifically asked if it would be open the evening of our arrival. They messaged back "Yes" and sent a photo of the menu. However, it was not operating that night. Fortunately, it was a short walk into town where a restaurant they recommended was open.

• ALISON (9/5): Home from home -Fabulous family run hotel - Charming family run hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere & a lovely garden with small pool . Staff very helpful and food excellent! Spacious & spotlessly clean rooms. Easy walk to the beach & small bars /restaurants as well as the boat trip meeting points .

• Carinke (3/5): - The staff was friendly. The room (nr 2) was situated under the stairs. As the building is made from wood the footsteps on the stairs gave a lot of noise. There were two windows in the room; one faced the hallway leading to the patio. Other guests walked past here, and since the window was only covered with a strip of opaque tape, they could see right into your room (read: bed). The other window faced the clothesline, where people walked past to hang their laundry. The small window in the bathroom overlooked the stairs. The windows were covered with old, damaged, and dirty transparent blinds. Therefore, there was no privacy in the room. The swimmingpool was very very small and looked dirty. This is not a 4 star hotel but more a hostel. The price was for a 4 star hotel; completely out of proportion.

• John (10/5): Lovely clean, quiet place between the town and the dock. - Very nice hotel a little outside of town but near the dock. The room was spacious and clean; breakfasts were tasty and ample. The real find was the restaurant, which is rarely open. If you can get them to serve you a dinner, go for it! A little walk into Puerto Villamil, but it’s flat and easy.

Good air-conditioning and WiFi. A little pricey. Couple of small windows that didn't have blinds. Shame we couldn't get a late checkout particularly as the hotel was empty 😞
• Janet (10/5): Best Location and Stay to Be Had on Isabela Island - This is where to stay, best local, best pumpkin soup lol, on the whole island. Pool was great, super clean, super hosts. I will return here if i ever come back to Isabela Island. Location ! Location ! Location ! Super special, especially for this island.

• Olga (1/5): Awful!! - Location Not sure where to start, however we booked one of the best rooms in the hotel, one of the best hotels on Island Isabella per booking. We had huge cockroaches running through our bed, pillows, under bad, bathroom and closets. We couldn’t sleep there, as the amount of them was huge. We went to speak to personel to switch our rooms, they provided the same room on the same floor ( be careful as the roof in suits is with wholes, easy to get in for any insect). We rejected, especially that we saw our neighbors were running with shoes across the room as well… as we wanted to stay there two nights, I ask the personel to around 10pm that we would like to get money back for the second night, as we cannot sleep here and we are moving startuje away. We got information that we are moving due to our personal issues and there is nothing she can do! In the end it was too late for us to find first night sleep, we argue to get another room, three people we slept in super small room but it felt better than previous ones. However no one was able to sleep. We moved to other hotel I the very early morning. We did not get any refund, we tried even per booking. I think booking understood the situation and gave us back 50$ out of 350$ We absolutely do not recommend, the staff are unpleasant, you won’t get any refund, no understanding! You will definitely sleep with cockroaches!!! Be aware, this is not even one star place!

There is no TV in the room, what I prefer, but the working people there have one in the lobby and she is watching the most of the day spanish series...not so nice if you want to relax...

• Anita (10/5): Wooden House is a great hotel, we highly recommend it. - The staff is friendly, the breakfast was good, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great - it's in between the main town area and the pier (where you can snorkel and see the sea lions, iguanas and crabs hanging out), so a short walk to both. Internet isn't great but that was common in the Galapagos. We paid more money than it looked like others were charging for the tours they arranged for us but we never figured out why that was so I would say shop the tours.

• Annette (8/5): A good option but I probably would stay on the beach next time. - Nice place, very helpful owner with excellent English who kindly got us last-minute reservations for a volcano tour. Tasty breakfast in the outdoor patio. Our room was clean and pleasant. Our room was pretty small. Location is close to the dock but a dusty walk to town. I sent a couple messages via Booking.com before our trip and never heard back. Like elsewhere on Isabela, the wifi is extremely limited. Note that the hotel prefers to be paid in cash.

• Zachary (10/5): Treated like family. 10/10 would stay again! - Jose Carlos took such great care of us during our stay and helped to coordinate one of our last minute tours. Closest hotel to Concha de Perla snorkeling and to the FERRY PIER. Restaurant meals on site upon request (breakfast was included). Great facilities for scuba/snorkelers wanting to rinse gear and hang dry safely outside.
