• Charlotte (5/5): Du betaler udelukkende for udsigten. - Udsigen var god, og det man betaler for. Billeder stemmer ikke overens med virkeligheden. Meget lille lejlighed. 2 vinglas. 1 champagne glas som ikke kunne vaskes rent. Kloark lugt på badeværelset. Vært der er meget længe om at svare på de 2 spørgsmål jeg sendte.

• Lars Håkan (9/5): Utmärkt läge, bekväm och bra lägenhet. Toppen! - Ingen mötte oss vid ankomst. Jag fick ringa för att få nycklarna som låg i ett olåst postfack. Jag fick heller inte någon kod till ytterdörren, även där fick jag ringa för att få den.
• Ineke (10/5): Prima accommodatie voor een kort verblijf - Het balkon en daardoor het uitzicht vanuit het appartement op de haven en de stad is fenomenaal. Het appartement is klein maar voor 2 personen uitstekend ingericht. De hosts zijn zeer servicegericht. Op een vraag kwam altijd direct antwoord. Het is mogelijk om op loopafstand in een garage te parkeren, kosten € 15 per dag.

• Roman (10/5): - Apt. is very good situated close to city center, beach, park, port, restaurants, shops. It is fully equipped and with nice view to port from its large terrace. You have possibility to book parking place in parking house for your or rented car on the other street next to San Nicholas street, also to book taxi from/to airport. Owner with staff are very polite, prompt and helpfull.

• Eleanor (5/5): Very small and dated apartment - The location and the view The apartment is tiny. The smallest I have ever stayed in. The shower is so small it’s hard to move. The bathroom is very tight. The apartment is very dated. The furnishings are cheap and very basic. The curtains old. The tiny living room is very uninviting. It is no way big enough for 4 people. There are only 2 dining chairs. The bed is comfortable. The view and location are the only good things. Not worth the cost. The drains smell bad.

• Dcm2211 (9/5): Great location, fab balcony. - We spent 3 nights in the apartment. The location was superb. The beach was a 5 minute walk away and the old town was about 10 mins away. The apartment was relatively small but fine for 2 people. It is well stocked and comfortable. The balcony area was very nice, with outstanding views over the marina. We would stay here again if in Malaga. nothing

• Boatbum (9/5): Excellent Location with fantastic views - Have stayed in this block a few times. Simply furnished, clean & comfortable apartment with all amenities. Well stocked kitchen, utensils, glasses, pans etc. Also Iron, hairdryer etc. Even an umbrella! Loved the balcony. Great place to sit and enjoy the sunset & night time views of the city. Old town is a 15 min walk through the beautiful park or along the waterfront. Lots on the doorstep including a supermarket, La Canasta Bakery /Cafe is great for breakfast & is open all hours. Lovely fish restaurant round the corner called Los Delfines. Recommend staying here or in this area. The sofa bed is a corner sofa with an added ottoman which kept separating during the night so only really suitable for 1 person. The main entry door key/lock was difficult to work but there is also an entry code which we used instead.

What a fabulous, spacious balcony with full sun in the afternoon and wonderful views of the castle, Alcazabar, sea and sunset. Still had a peaceful sleep in the comfy bed. The communication was also great and even met us earlier than planned check in.

• Nigel (8/5): Perfect position. - The position of the apartment was excellent. Just a five minute walk to the beach. The old and new port, restaurants, and shops were just downstairs. The city was a 20-minute walk with a wealth of things to do. Castles, the cathedral, and the many museums were in walking distance. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed, and the host was very helpful when we met them to get into the apartment early ! The balcony was a good size with access from the bedroom or the lounge. The views were spectacular. The bed was comfortable. The apartment was a perfect size for two adults. Unfortunately, we had two problems with the shower. One day, the shower tray was blocked. The next day, there was no water coming out of the shower heads. We did contact the host, and they did come and repair on both occasions. The surply to the air conditioning unit was loud. The unit is situated on the balcony. It's very nosey when trying to relax on the balcony.
• Constance (8/5): Great value for location - The location was superb. Basically right next to the beach and port, and a 15 minute walk away from the city centre. Lovely view from the balcony. The owner/staff were easy to contact as well. The only issue was that there was maintenance work being done on the outside of the building so there was scaffolding in the balcony. The owners did notify us before our stay and offered a discount for the inconvenience though! So I wouldn't hold this against them as we did stay during the off peak season and this couldn't be helped. I would definitely still come back to stay at this property.
• Marija (1/5): Bad - Location. The place is a construction site. The owner knew about this and only notified us a day before our arrival and blatantly lied that the scaffolding was put up that day. The scaffolding was blocking the view, the works were extremely loud every day from 9a.m. and there was water and building material on the balcony making it completely useless. The workers were walking around freely, even got onto the balcony while we were there to sweep the floor. There was 0 privacy or safety for that matter because the doors leading to the balcony cannot be locked. The owner offered a partial refund via booking.com but this was absolutely not enough or ok. Our holiday was booked and paid for way in advance, the owner could have had the decency to warn us in time so we can cancel and book somewhere else in time and actually enjoy our time there. The best feature of the apartment was useless, the rest of the apartment is old and unkept, the furniture was stained and smelly, the shower flooded the entire bathroom when used and it was mouldy, there was water damage on the ceiling as well and the appliances are ancient - the air conditioning looks and smells like it hasn't been cleaned for decades. Incredibly disappointing, avoid this place unless you are desperate.
• Andrei (9/5): Superb - Great view from balcony. Excellent location, three minutes to Malagueta beach and a short walk to old town and all sights. Alejandro was very kind and showed us everything that was nearby. There were beach umbrellas and towels that you can take to the beach. Parking in the underground garage is very close to the apartment.

• Adam (5/5): Good location, but fails in almost everything else - The location of the apartment is perfect, but this was the only advantage for us, to be honest. The port, and the Malagueta beach and also the city center is really close. The sunset and the view in general is great from the apartment. It's kind of well equipped, there is a fridge, a washing machine, sunbrella and towels for the beach, etc. The air conditioning was (very) mouldy inside, probably never been cleaned in the last years. Because of the dirty air conditioning, we didn't dare to use it when we were in the apartment, but that meant that we had to open the windows during the night, which made sleeping almost impossible (at least to us) because of the noisy street. Also, even if the AC was switched off, the outdoor unit was constantly operating, adding more noise to the already noisy environment. The apartment is just noisy and loud. In the living room you hear the elevator as it would be inside the apartment, and in the bedroom you can hear every single step from the neighbouring apartment. Cleanliness is a so-so, because it's obvious that they clean after every guest, but there are parts that has very old dirt on and probably need a change: the curtains, the sofa with stains, the mouldy shower, for example. There is a sign of leakage in the bathroom from the apartment above, so the ceiling already started to fell off in pieces. Shower was leaking badly, we used 3 different towels to keep the bathroom floor somehow dry.

• Lidiya (7/5): Only the location, not good option for long stay! - Location and the view from balcony I had to clean wardrobe shelves from dust and hair remainings of the previous guest. The shower cabin was leaking and leaving a lake on bathroom floor after every shower. The owner promised to look at it and bring a solution, but didn’t take any action. I then asked booking customer service the possibility to change somewhere else and get a refund, they said the owner would come with a solution but instead the owner brought 2 floor mats only. So the whole 8days we had to wipe floors, after paying such amount of money! Both the owner and the booking.com was just fooling the guest without any real support.

• John (8/5): We always enjoy our stays at La Marina and hope to continue returning. - La Marina has been our first choice among Malaga flats for many years now - the location suits us well, the flat is a good enough size for two people (and, unlike some flats in the same block, it still retains its balcony). Views from the flat are wonderful. Our experience of Alejandro, the host, has always been very positive. It remains our favourite place for Malaga stays and we're always disappointed if it's unavailable for our travel dates. Sadly, the flat is beginning to look a bit tired and there seems to be less attention to detail now - for example, there were stains on the living-room furniture and the curtains badly need replacing. We had problems accessing some Spanish television channels and, unlike in many places now, there are no foreign channels available. We also had more difficulty directly contacting Alejandro - in the past we had no problems sending messages to his mobile but this seemed impossible this time.

• Zahra (8/5): I would recommend! - the location is fantastic. close to all major tourist attractions. beautiful view. not as noisy as some reviewers said. it’s actually nice and quiet. the smaller shower head was broken. and toilet door is faulty. it gets jammed if you’re inside you’re locked in and if u close it from the outside it won’t open. we called Alejandro and he fixed it same day so no complaints there.

It has a perfect orientation for watching beautiful sunsets. There was mould in the shower cubicle. A small draining rack in the kitchen would be helpful.

• David (9/5): A lovely stay in Malaga, we will definitely book La Marina Suites again when we return. - As pre previous reviews the view from the apartment is spectacular. The location is perfect with short walks to both Malagueta beach and the centre. Alejandro was there to meet us with the keys as promised and he also was good enough to give us some good advice on where to visit and what to do during our stay. The apartment itself is compact but is very comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxed stay. Just don't drop the soap in the shower as it's a bit of a tight squeeze (a very minor negative and vastly outweighed by the rest of the apartment especially the evening views!). Not really a negative but we were a little apprehensive after reading other reviews about the building works outside the apartment. These are still ongoing but didn't bother us as we were out early and didn't come back to the apartment until after 5 when the works finish.
