Guest Reviews
- Luc (8/5): - Everything was good, the people working there are very friendly, easy to find, slightly outside town to sleep better, good, clean and well equipped kitchen.
Showers are in a good working order, with nice hot water. My stay was very good as the hostel was not full.
I believe that when it becomes full, it gets easily crowded..
- Mandy (5/5): -
- ARTSEMI (8/5): -
- Olesia (9/5): -
- catherine (9/5): Très moyen - Son emplacement La salle de bains limite propre
- Yassin (8/5): - Un peu excentré du centre ville (15min a pied) mais charmant et propre.
- Elias (9/5): I had the best time there, met amazing people, and the owner is very supportive - The owner is super helpful ! Kitchen is very clean, guest are amazing people ! It’s perfect at it is!
- Veronika (8/5): - Kousek od centra. Za dobreho pocasi se da posedet venku a grilovat. Pokoj je velmi maly, zamykani na skrince nefungovalo. Matrace jsou velmi prolezele a nejspis hodne stare.
- Anne (5/5): Comfortable sleep but dirty bathroom - The place is ok. To start with the positive: the room was good, comfortable bed, clean bedsheets, enough space. The staff was ok, not unfriendly, but nothing out of the ordinary. I had two good nights of sleep, that's the most important thing, but I wouldn't recommend this place. The bathroom is really not clean, which was bothersome for me. I think my boyfriend didn't care too much, but for me it just wasn't comfortable and I didn't enjoy it. The accommodation is next to a road, which gives a bit of noise, but with the window closed it's doable.
- Mackenzie (8/5): Good, spartan and no nonsense option that is good value for money - Good value for money, and seems like would be a good option for a longer stay in Dilijan with friends By no means in the best location in Dilijan but still close enough to the centre. Unfortunately no real common area space to spill out into if with friends, but it does have a good balcony!
- Guest (9/5): - Good locality and a very kind owner. And very good value for money. We enjoyed our stay.
- Juul (1/5): -
- GEMMA (5/5): - It was not clean.
- Ryan (8/5): -
- Julianna Wojtyczka (8/5): Nice hostel on Dilijan - The hostel staff is friendly and helpful. Dorm is comfortable, shower and toilets are clean, facilites are good. There is not much place to sit outside, but balcony was enough to stay at enjoy warm evenings.
- Miłosz (8/5): -
- Jacob (7/5): Good value for location. - The views on the balcony. Would be nice to have more chairs outside on the balcony. Bathrooms a little smelly.
- MOHAMMADAMIR (9/5): -
- David (7/5): Comfortable Beds - Double room was spacious , beds were comfortable and the kitchen has everything needed. Shared balcony has nice views and some seating. Friendly staff. Pictures don't match as the lower half is under construction. Location is right beside a main road so constant traffic noise. When sleeping, your choice is to be sweating and hear minimum noise, or open the window and be cool but hear the noise. Adding a fan to the rooms would be a great addition in the summer months.
- Aleksandr (8/5): Good value, but be prepared to hike a bit - OK location - very close to the city center, but about 50 m (16 stories) elevation gain from there. The walk is via a busy road.
Good kitchen with everything you need to cook basic food.
Great host, had an interesting chat
Nice (shared) balcony
Great views of the forest
Comfy bed One of the toilets didn't flush
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional - Great place with a nice people who work there.
I felt comfortable and welcomed.
Very recommended. Just a few minutes to the supermarket, park and the start of Parz Lake.
- Ahmed (5/5): Passable - It needs to be cleaner
- Achal (8/5): Very good -
- Porter (8/5): Good spot, will be better with future lounge - The beds are super comfy (and private) and the place is nice. It's close to the supermarket and Dilijan town. The kitchen is tiny (comfortably fits 2 people) and there is no lounge space. So there's not really a place to socialise. The bottom level is under construction (I think to become a lounge) and the place will be amazing once that's available!
- Raquel (10/5): Friendly and helpful host, and very comfortable room - The location is very good, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. The building has been freshly renovated with a modern style and has everything you need (you can even rent bikes and scooters). The rooms are cosy, clean, and with a very comfortable bed. Our host, Vakha, was kind, friendly, and helpful, and we felt very welcomed during all our stay. He even helped us plan our hikes and arrange transportation. We spent 4 nights there and had a great experience.
- Saloni (8/5): A much recommended place to stay in Dilijan . - Location - it’s conveniently located only 10 mins walk away from Dilijan city .
- The facilities are great for the price offered .
- The host speaks fluent English and is super helpful . He helped me plenty in planning my hikes around the area .
- A much recommended place to stay . - None
- John (7/5): Good - It was decent, location is good It doesnt really match with the pictures. Except the balcony, nothing is maintain to enjoy outside. No one was there during the stay neither. It was also not cheap
- Jack (8/5): Very good - Great location, quiet accomodation. Very spacious. Great hot shower after a long day hiking.
- Elvira (4/5): Not for female travellers - I’m travelling by bicycle and the owner helped me out with the bicycle and the bags. There’s a full-equipped kitchen. Not a safe place for female travellers. The curtain of my bed was suddenly opened by a half naked man (not a guest) that entered in the room at night. That’s completely unacceptable.
- Zbynek (8/5): Very good - Capsule style beds. If you are claustrophobic it might not be your best best. :-) But otherwise all is good, English spoken, kitchen, terrace, very easygoing, fair price, supermarket just down the hill
- Abdelhamid (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, especially Vaxa, who showed me around the city, also a comfortable place, and good value for money. Nothing
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raju (7/5): Good -
- Tad (9/5): Superb - I stayed for 2 nights, the place is clean, and i rent a bicycle 3 hours for 2k drm , the mountains view is amazing and sound of the river. The area where is wood chairs and have view which mentioned at the picture wasn't available, also they can use more high quality stuff, for example the paper toilet, pillow, bed stuff
- Asma (9/5): Very nice - It is clean and Vaha welcomed me in the hostel and told me about Dilijan. Shoutout to Vaha :)
I felt home in the hostel and fortunately there was no one else except me in that period of my visit.
- Parsa (10/5): Overall, our stay was a perfect blend of comfort, and convenience, with exceptional hospitality. - The location was absolutely perfect, offering complete privacy thanks to the preservation of traditional and local architecture. Despite the peaceful seclusion, it was incredibly convenient, being right in the city center and near shops. The dormitory was well-equipped with everything we needed: clean bedding, a warm shower, heating, Wi-Fi, and a cozy shared kitchen. A special thanks to the wonderful team, who welcomed us with warmth and care.
- Manucharian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (9/5): Estancia efectiva y amigable - Excellent place to spend a few quiet nights at a reasonable price-quality ratio. Very friendly and attentive staff. Clean sheets. Location a few steps on the road to the pre-center of the town. Equipped kitchen. Recommendations:
- Clean the sinks more frequently + air freshener
- Wash blankets better
- Turn on the heating or plug-in heating
- Place the camera at an angle where it allows guests to have greater privacy.
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional - One of the best hostels i have been to and the owner is really nice.
- Alan (7/5): Good - Hostel walking distance to supermarket and cafeteria, 5 minutes away.
+
Clean and quiet room
Good views
Attention to detail of the employee.
Full kitchen
-
Very cold
Dirty toilets
Quality/price: 7
- Hana (7/5): was not what we expected :( but I think it is not always like that - we met some good friends in this hostel we came there and there was no clean laundry for making the beds and our beds were not made. there were 2 blankets for the 5 of us left and some other ones but they smelled so bad and we did not have all the pillow and bad covers and we were very cold at night! but I think that was only at that time because the host was not able to be at that place because of some personal issues as one of the guests told us. we were not prepared for the unconviniences but I think it is understandable as it clearly does not happen often based on the reviews. other people that met him said he is very nice person.
- Joris (6/5): 👍🏼 - It is good value for money and Dilijan is beautiful There is only one shower and the mattress was not very comfy
- Montgarri (10/5): Thanks! - Modern, clean, with a well equipped kitchen and just a 5-10 min walk to the supermarket and bus station. The first night I had it all by myself, the second night there was only one more guest. Not saying that it will be often this case, but it worked out very well for me after spending more than a month sharing hostel rooms!
Arman, the owner, is very friendly and he even offered a lift from lake Sevan to the guesthouse as it was on his way. And, on top of that, he invited me to an Armenian BBQ with his friends at the veranda, so the whole experience was good!! Thanks again! Just a suggestion... It would probably be a good idea to add some lights and a plug in each bed in the dorm. In my case it didn't matter much because I could choose a bed which was higher up and had no walls around it and I was alone, so I could use any plug and turn on and off the lights as much as I wanted, but probably other guests would appreciate it... and maybe the space for sleeping would feel less enclosed.
- Anush (10/5): Arman has been a great host, very accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. - Very clean room, lovely staff, fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a nice, strong shower. We did our laundry here too which was very helpful after a long hike. The hostel is a few minutes walk away from a well stocked supermarket and hike routes so we felt very well connected to things. Plus Bernie the 8 months old pupper was a massive bonus🐕 Just a little too close to the main road but the traffic noice wasn't an issue for me at night.
- Anastasiia (9/5): Superb - Great hostel- comfortable beds, nice balcony, bendy friendly staff, great location in Dilijan (close to bus stop).
I really enjoyed my stay Not enough plates/cutlery in the kitchen (no large bowls)
One of the toilets had a broken seat (sharp surface)
- Janiashvili (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josh (10/5): Cheap, friendly hostel in the middle of DIlijan. - Clean. Along the main road. Nice kitchen. New. Close walk to the supermarket. It's a capsule hostel, so your expectations must be in accordance with that.
- Tiffany (4/5): Quite bad experience! - The location is ok. Bad smell from the toilet, kitchen sink, matress… dirt and stains were everywhere!
- Oksana (8/5): Very good -
- Murat (7/5): Good -
- Lindsey (8/5): Nice place in Dilijan - Lovely little hostel with capsule beds which I haven't seen many of in the Caucasus. Nice kitchen facilities.
Good location, only a 10 minute walk from a supermarket. My capsule smelt and felt a bit damp when I first arrived which was off-putting but the smell lessened after a couple of days
- Olzhas (10/5): Good central hostel - I liked the following in the Hostel La Casa Dilijan:
1) Staff: Vaha, hostel caretaker was very friendly and helpful.
2) Location: Hostel is located centrally up in the hill, 5 minutes of walking distance to/from the roundabout road, city park with pond, supermarket with pharmacy and central bus station. Dilijan National Park is about 30 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. Be aware about bears and other wild animals in the park. I saw fresh fingerprint of bear’s paw in the Dilijan National Park.
But I have to say that it was not easy to find the hostel in the beginning. Local people tried to help me around one hour to find this hostel and multiple times called hostel phone number +374-77-68-88-94 indicated in my booking confirmation and nobody picked up the phone. Same happened to another traveller. Later, when I finally found this hostel, I told hostel team about this situation. One man (I assume hostel owner) said that it’s necessary to delete that phone number from the booking.com website.
3) Capsule bed: It was my very first experience of capsule bed. I was provided lower bed as asked. Hostel manager provided clean towel, bedsheet, pillow and blanket covers which was great as I don’t have my own towel.
4) Kitchen: I was great to have a kitchen as I used it actively. I cooked my own meal. Kitchen has everything needed: fridge, microwave, gas stove, electric kettle, cups, plates etc.
5) Laundry service: There is a washing machine in the kitchen. I used it once and washed all my clothes for 500 AMD.
6) Other services: Hostel offers wine, rent of scooter and bicycle for separate payment.
7) There is also L-shaped balcony/terrace with table and chair with picturesque mountain view and fresh air for morning coffee. Shower was a little bit tricky. Water speed is changing automatically from normal speed to fast speed or very low speed.
What I can say: Hostel is the same as in the booking.com pictures. Please find attached pictures. Thank you. What to improve in the Hostel La Casa Dilijan:
1) Big mirror near the common bedroom window would be great. Otherwise there are two small mirrors in the toilet/shower area. I wanted mirror with natural light.
2) Iron and hair dryer would be great considering chilly/cold weather of Dilijan.
- Murat (7/5): Good - The capsule bed was actually nice. There was a view of the mountains. The toilet and showers could be cleaner. A bit away from the center of the town but not too far.
- Ziyad (8/5): Good hostel in Dilijan - The price is good and staff is helpful. The mattress is comfortable. The hostel is little bit small and the beds are in capsules orientation.
- Karol (5/5): No water - Separate bed boxes with curtains for everyone, lockers. There was no water for the whole time I was there. I was told water should come back in the morning, well it did not. If I was to stay in Dilijan second time I would choose to stay in hikers hostel where my mate was staying, they had water. It was also irritating that I could hear the stream right outside.
- Ohanes (7/5): Good -
- Liana (10/5): Exceptional - There is the basics for staying at a hostel. Everything was fine.
- Carolina (7/5): Good - The owner is friendly and the hostel is new so accommodations are modern. The hostel could be more clean. I was the only guest and I struggled to take a shower in that bathroom...
- Amrit (9/5): Worth the money - - Nice location
- Helpful and friendly caretaker The dorm is little small. It was fine for me because I stayed alone and there was no other traveler.
- Marcell (10/5): Relaxing stay with great vibes - Always super clean and the owner friendly and helpful. Close to the center and a nice walk.
- Ronbo4610 (10/5): Well designed modern hostel - Very well designed compact and modern hostel. It is very comfortably warm throughout due to good radiant heating, insulation and modern materials that don't hold ins cold. There is a wrap-around balony with stunning views of snow capped peak while I was there. It's on a main route out of Dilijan, but the house is below road level and opens to a narrow gultch/valley with nice views.
Well equipped kitchen, hot showers, washing machine and capsule beds. The footprint is small, but there are lots of chairs to move around to sit where you want, including the balcony.
The capsule pods are well designed with large storage drawers, interior lights and power sockets. The storage drawers for the upper pods are just below the bed and accessible without climbing down. There's one large table outside the kitchen where you can work (or eat) an two seats and narrow table in the kitchen. It's about 400 meters to the main road junction where transportation goes through and there's restaurants and a convenience store. Discount given when extending my stay.
I have a bit of claustrophobia and small, tight, dark rooms can trigger it, but there is a large picture window in the dorm. I could look out directly from my bed.
Welcoming and responsive staff member. These are not really things I don't like, but for people to be aware of. What appears to be the central part of Dilijan is 1.3 KM away. Dilijan sprawls a bit and none of the other low price offerings are any closer.
There are 10 pod beds and two 2-person (I believe) privates. So total capacity is not high and we were only 3 during my stay. It is well designed, but I imagine there could be some challenges were the hostel to be near full capacity.
Some small things are still under construction and a couple of the plentiful outlets did not work. More cooking utensils are needed.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Everything clean and Fancy new Hostel in Dilijan.. All good ..
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - The room is comfortable, the host is so friendly.
- Łukasz (10/5): Real Travelling vibe surrounding by Armenian mountains - Distance from the town center was short. The property was clean, the staff was nice and multilingual (English, Russian even a bit of Polish). It's visible that everything is new. Beds are capsule types (my favorite in hostels) and it was possible to sleep well. And the last but the best. Very nice community inside. The real travelers chose that place and it was super cool to listen to all the stories behind their journey (even though I was just for a week vacations in Armenia)
- Nurlaela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hanna (4/5): Disappointing - Good location and best (at the time) budget price in Dilijan It wasn't very clean and had little space for socializing.
- Hubert (10/5): Felt very welcome there. - Helpful Host
Clean Bed sheets were not holding to the mattress so it was usually out of place in the morning.
- Behnam (7/5): Good -
- Susanne (8/5): Very good - The beds in the dorm are well sheltered and the mattress was very nice. Small hostel, but cozy. There weren’t many guests when we were there so we had most to ourselves. Nice kitchen. Lights for every bed
- Erik (8/5): Central budget stay in Dilijan - There was a good vibe when I stayed here and it was easy to meet other travellers. Staff was helpful. Beds were comfy and you have your own pod so more privacy than a normal dorm. Location is good, everything in walking distance You can notice on many things its a brand new hostel and there are still some things to improve. There is not really a comfortable common area, everything is small but it's manageable. Not enough blankets for everyone (everyone has sheets tho)
- Hsinping (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice place, close to the center and lake. Bed very confortable and clean. Kitchen, fast internet and nice staff!
There is a perfect view and a terrasse to chill.
- Rizzo000 (8/5): Good for a night - Facilities new and mostly good Was giving wet sheets and towel at checkin.
Bathroom and kitchen cleanliness lacking

- Rubenian (10/5): A good hostel in Dilijan - I like that people there were very nice and friendly, it was quite clean and there were all facilities. For a hostel it is quite good place, everything was ok
