Guest Reviews
- Noelia (10/5): Amazing location - We had a wonderful stay in this remote, tranquil, and beautiful location. The cozy cottage was charming, with a very well-equipped kitchen and an extremely comfortable bed. It is the perfect base to visit Maria Island and Freycinet National Park while enjoying peace, nature, and comfort.
- Samantha (10/5): - The Shepherds Cottage was the perfect place for us to relax and reset. The beautiful little cottage has so much history and is nestled within the vineyard and sheep farm on the rivulet within walking distance to the beach. Cosy and comfortable, it had everything we needed. Highly recommend if you're after peace and serenity.
- Graeme (8/5): a good cottage close to a very nice beach along a great part of the east coast - all good there very difficult to get the tv to work at all
- Nikki (10/5): We will return! - The seclusion, the bed, the fire place, the beach, the scrabble games, the lambs roaming around, the outdoor chairs under the tree, the absolute comfort, the kitchen & the wine delivered to your door!
- Samantha (9/5): A beautiful place to visit. - The location is spectacular and the private beach is a wonderful place to explore. The cottage shows off its nearly 200 years of history on the outside, although modern inside. The sheep are mesmerising as they wander up and down in front of the cottage. There is a very well equipped kitchen including a coffee machine.
The internet connection was reasonable considering the country location (no wifi though and the tv connection was a bit dodgy, although it was not a big issue for us)
Swansea is not far away with a small but reasonable supermarket and I’d recommended a visit to The Branch, a tapas and wine bar in the old bank building.
- Glenn (9/5): Superb - Had a lovely stay at the Shepherds Cottage, had plenty of room with everything we needed..Very peaceful location overlooking the river and handy to the beach.Wished we were able to stay longer.
- Jodi (5/5): Not what we expected - Location and lovely beach access with walks Very steep stairs to only bedroom
Only bathroom downstairs
Found two maggots on the kitchen bench when we arrived
Privacy other property overlooked outdoor area
Farm run down full of thistles
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Enjoying a couple of days in a well appointed historical cottage and a nice bottle of wine - The history of the Shepherd cottage, the location with it private beaches, the facilities and furnishings and ability to relax Nil
