Guest Reviews

- Imi (2/5): Very poor - There was an unpleasant stink in the whole apartment, including in the stairwell! The bathroom was dirty and in need of serious renovation, the ceiling was soaked from the upper apartment even when we were there, water was flowing from the ceiling! On the last day at noon, the power went out, so there was no hot water, and it remained like that until we left. We tried to contact the staff, called and wrote, but no response from them. We couldn't even charge the phones, which caused big problems! Atrocious accommodation and zero attitude!
- Avigail (5/5): Passable - the location is good, tube to anywhere near by the shower is small, smelly and we didnt have hot water until the landlord took care of ir
- Shelley (8/5): Very good - The room was pleasant and equipped with bedding/pillows. The sofa bed bedding is kept underneath the bed when it pulls out. Table and chairs are an added bonus as is the TV monitor. Decent sized fridge. A great affordable place to stay and our dog was welcome.
Mahatma Gandhi lived on this street when he was a student as a bit of history. The Location is close to the tube station. Both the windows open in the room. To be mindful of children and dogs as it's a few floors up so we kept them open slightly. All in all we were pleased with the room. A couple of extra towels would have been appreciated for those with long hair as there are four towels per person.
Then again the price was the same for two or four people, so bring a couple of extra towels if you book for four.
As we were appreciative when booking the room to find it came with a microwave and stove top, it's not really a dislike as these were extras so to speak. However we had booked for four people, so four bowls would have been appreciated. There's an issue with the stove top rings as they didn't stay on, however the back ring did when on full. The door shelf in the fridge is damaged so best not to use it, however there's plenty of room in the fridge.
The staircase areas reaching the room could do with hoovering and a blast of fresh air, but it would mean someone holding the door wide open for a length of time.
- Carly (8/5): Very good - Everything was perfect. Got everything what a family of 4 needs. The plight of stairs as it was too steep and with a family of 4 with 2 small kids its challenging. We stayed at flat 5 and it was on the 2nd floor. Will still go back here as long as its on the 1st or ground floor
- Megan (8/5): Brilliant location, ideal for a London trip - Brilliant location! Nothing
- Kmffn (9/5): Superb - The area around the flat was very atmospheric, but also convenient - we could find any shop/restaurant that we needed during our stay close by. It was also very well connected to the rest of London, there were two metro lines to choose from within a couple of minutes walking distance. The flat was well furnished, had all the necessary amenities (and more). The bathroom - there was no ventilation and it did get smelly if the doors were left closed. Opening the doors after each use is a must.
- Roisin (5/5): Adequate but not to be repeated! - Location phenomenal, bed comfy., bed clean. The bathroom needs updated. Horrendous. Had to sleep with the windows open in Jan to ease the smell of damp. Showered at my daughters instead. Not what one needs!
- Jasmine (8/5): Very good -
- Zuzana (4/5): Disappointing - indoor moisture, mold smell
- Daniel (6/5): Pleasant - Close to the tube
- Ruth (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (5/5): Did the job for a night or two but wouldn’t stay here again. - The hosts were very helpful allowing us an early check in, and the location was excellent on a quiet street and just a few minutes walk to two main tube stations making it very easy to get around London and to all the sites and museums. We didn’t feel the room was clean enough, the floor felt gritty and there were lots of hairs around the apartment. The sofa bed hadn’t been made up ready for us despite saying we were traveling with two children. Despite putting in every password and code we could find, we couldn’t get either the TV or the WiFi to work. The communal stairs were very smelly. The apartment has been done up very roughly and cheaply with badly fitting kitchen and tiling in the bathroom with cracked everywhere and mastic that looked like someone had done blindfolded! The whole thing looked a bit of a mess and it doesn’t look like the owners re-invest any money or care into the upkeep of the apartment or building as the windows and front door also needed updating. Not sure it’s worth what the owners are charging unless they spend some money on the apartment.
- Joel (7/5): Great place for a short visit - The location was good and easy to find. The toilet sometimes didnt flush properly
- Valip2002 (8/5): Very good - - position: 2 minutes walk from the tube station (Piccadilly and District lines)
- comfortable beds
- new kitchen, well furbished
- good management, very helpful even prior the stay (I booked the place for my parents coming to visit, I live just across the street, and one of the guy that manages the property let us visit the room in adavance and was very reliable during my parents stay. He also managed to get the shower fixed!)
- price: especially when compared to similar solutions in the same area
- room: spacious enough for 2/3 people, I guess you could manage 2 adults + kids, but seemed very small for 4 adults....
- very easy self-check (you can come at every time....) - entrance of building and common stairs: horrible smell, SUPER dirty (trash and lots of wood shavings everywhere, I understand it's not excatly part of the apartment, but its owners/managers should put some efforts mediating with other residents to maintain the area DECENT. I was ashamed that my parents had to walk through it every day when going in and out the apartment.....)
- bathroom: super small sink, difficult even to wash your teeth (but to be fair this is quite common in London... even in bigger houses)
- Lisa (7/5): Good -
- Michael (10/5): The host was amazing! they answered messages very quickly and was quick to help with any issues that came up. - The property was located really close to the train station. less than a 5 minute walk. There were restaurants and bars within 10 minute walking distance of the property.
- Lisa (8/5): It’s all you need when you spend a few days in town! -
