• Diane (8/5): We had a lovely stay in this unit but needs a bit more care and attention with cleaning & maintenanc - It was a great location and amazing views. Bed was comfortable. Both tap handles were broken. Toilet seat broken. Pubic hair was on both towels when arrived and hair in bathroom cupboard. The was a used earbud on the floor behind the bin near the toilet. The walls were quite thin as we could hear the people next door while in the bathroom and people in the hallway when in bed.

The hot water tap was too loud every time I turned it on. I was unable to connect to the Internet using the password provided on the back of the modem. I thought the password has been changed. I used my data because it still has a lot of them.

• rezwana (10/5): The hotel room was great value for the price — clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The restaurant on the ground f - I loved that everything was within walking distance – super convenient! The interior was simple, clean and cozy just perfect for me. The morning sunrise view was absolutely spectacular, and at night, the combination of city lights and the sound of the ocean created such a peaceful atmosphere. The place felt like a perfect little escape. It was comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The only downside was the shower the water pressure was quite low, which made it a bit less comfortable.

• Kate (10/5): Listening to the waves roll in overlooking the ocean - Exceptional. The view from the unit is magical. Listening to the waves and unwinding was bliss. Exactly what I needed to decompress and relax. The facilities were fantastic! Sauna, steam room, spa, pool, games room, gym, massage chairs. Right across from the beach and close to restaurants and shopping! Really comfy bed slept like a baby. Thank you

• Catherine (8/5): Very good - Great location, close to all restaurants and directly across the road from the beach. A short stroll to Cavill Avenue. The pool was good. Great value for money and free parking. The air conditioner wasn’t blowing out cool air which I struggled with for 6 nights. Thank goodness there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom but it didn’t help in the living area.

• Diane (6/5): Good value for money, great location and view. - Great location and view over the ocean. Stylish apartment, very comfortable bed and sofa. I wasn't impressed by the cleanliness, it was okay, had to ignore few minor things. Some features are a bit old in the apartment.

Had full kitchen with microwave, air conditioning and ceiling fan...Juliet balcony with beautiful view and could see the whales out to sea breeching. Pool is huge.... Great location close to Cavill Avenue, beach and tram. Perfect home away from home. 🥰 Only thing I missed was a bit of milk after such a long day travelling. Was hanging out for a cuppa tea.

• Kelly (5/5): You get what you pay for. It was cheaper for a reason. While the location was good and the apartment was nice, the hotel - The location was good The bed was extremely hard as were the pillows. And unfortunately we had a bunch of young people who rented a room on the same floor who had a wild party with fighting in the hallway and property damage with the police being called at midnight and banging on doors. Not the best for our stay that’s for sure. And only having one room key made it difficult when I was going out for a hens night and couldn’t get back into the hotel and had to wake my husband up to come and let me in.

• Taylor (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was lovely, even though it didn't have a balcony, the double sliding doors made up for that, you could open them and sit on the lounge or slide on of the dining chairs over to feel like you were out on one. The view was lovely. There is a lovely Cafe/Bar just out the front, which provides some beautiful meals for all times of the day, which you enjoy a stunning view of the beach as you eat. Would definitely book this room again.

• Adham (10/5): Great location, great apartment and great value for money. - The property was exceptionally clean and tidy. All furnishings were in great condition and the apartment was very well equipped. There is a 75” smart TV on which you can access all major streaming platforms and the kitchen (although you can’t really see it in the photos) has everything you need, from pots and pans to all plates and cutlery that you’d need and basics such as tea, coffee (including even a Lavazza coffee machine!) and oil. There is also a wall-plugged air fryer/oven which is very handy. The bed is comfortable and plenty of space for 2 people. The bathroom is also very clean with a spacious shower cubicle and body wash, shampoo and hand wash is provided. All great amenities. The view was incredible from the balcony as well! Nothing. Only thing is the aircon wasn’t working properly but that wasn’t too much of an issue.

• Scott (7/5): Affordable and excellent location. Building is dated but clean. - Location is awesome and view very nice. The complex like much in Surfers Paradise is now showing its age. The apartment was clean and tidy and as described. If you open the door a little and wedge a thong on, there is a lovely natural breeze that can flow through the apartment. Being on the Northern side of the building you get a beautiful sunrise over the ocean if you are up early enough to see it. Unfortunately the air-con was not working, unaware by the host and he was very apologetic. Fortunately at the time of year it was cool enough to exist with just the fan and fresh breeze so it didn't bother us and he was grateful to be informed so as to get it repaired before his next guest. The bed is a little firm for our liking and could simply do with a topper being added. That way if people prefer to have it firmer they can simply remove the topper, for others it would probably be just right then.

• Phil (8/5): Great location, owners available for help. - The location was superb. Across the road from Surfers, close to eateries and stores and transport. Plenty of free parking. Nice pool and spas. The apartment block is looking a bit tired but for the price I was very happy.
• William (9/5): Nice area, but definitely not a surf beach. The beach name is a marketing ploy. - Great location and view. The place was difficult to find on Google Maps. If they just called it "The Surfer Chateau" or "The Chateau" instead of the Esplanade Sea View it would have been easier to find. Also, the place doesn't have its own Wifi and the Wifi in the hotel building was spotty. It should get its own Wifi instead of telling people to you the unsecured network of the hotel.

• Willow (6/5): Pleasant - The view of the beach from the balcony was wonderful. There are so many restaurants in close proximity, which made the stay easy and comfortable. You can just wander downstairs for breakfast and then stroll on the beach, lovely. The couch is comfortable, and the tv is a great size to watch a movie and relax. There was no soap provided for showering, just shampoo and conditioner. The bottles were not labelled. During the night and morning, a strange smell was coming through the air duct in the bathroom. We had to close the door while we slept.

We were very disappointed that there wasn't a balcony as the photos proved misleading because it looked like there was one. Would've been nice to have a spa or even a bath. The fridge was very small & cutlery in the drawer had to be re-washed before use. The door to the apartment could be pushed open even when locked.
