• DIMITRA (10/5): Silk Mill Metaxourgeio: A Gem in the Heart of Athens - We had a great stay at this apartment. The place was spotless, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we could possibly need. Its location made it easy to explore the city, and we truly felt at home during our time there. Overall, the apartment was in perfect order and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our only suggestion would be to consider relocating the air-conditioner to the bedroom. It is currently installed in the living room, which made it a bit of a challenge to keep the bedroom cool during the warmer nights.

• Debra (9/5): Warm, cosy, inviting studio with a lift. - Really liked the studio, was easy to find and close to three major Athens squares which is why I chose it, comfortable, warm and clean. And it has a lift. Would have preferred a balcony but they were more expensive. Wall bracket for shower head is coming off the wall. The artwork is a bit weird. Needs a kitchen sink plug or is that what the bowl is for?

• Alexander (9/5): Nice comfortable apartment - The apartment was nice, clean, spacious and well designed. There was an air conditioner in every room which is needed during summer. The beds were big and comfortable, the kitchen was fully functional and well equipped. As well there was a washing machine in the bathroom which was a bonus. There was nothing we didn’t like about the apparent but bear in mind that it located in the centre of Athens with no view from the balcony else than concrete buildings crammed together.

• Sharmarke (4/5): Disappointing - The apartment had clearly not been cleaned since the previous guest and the bed looked not only slept in, but also had specks of dirt all over it. The Wi-Fi connectivity Was not only slow but would frequently cut out for anywhere, from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours every day.
• Amy (1/5): Awful - It was very messy when we entered as if someone was still living there Everything. The beds weren’t made, there were dirty dishes and towels everywhere and wet footprints on the floor. It smells bad and the walls are so thin.
• Nora (3/5): Maybe ok for 1 night but not for long term. Very disappointing. - My friend and I booked this apartment, hoping it would be spacious and full of light. Honestly, we were extremely disappointed. The photos of the actual apartment and what it is like in person is nothing alike, the photos on the advertisement are extremely misleading and the space was so cramped, we could barely open our suitcases and had to squeeze around each other for space. We had contacted the host asking for some sort of compensation because the photos on site and the actual place in reality were totally 2 different things, communication was constant however the host was unwilling to give an ounce of remorse of our situation, yet still being very defensive. It didn't feel warm as a host normally reasons or reach a mutual agreement, more of a money opportunity for them. For the price, size and the location it is a huge disappointment. The location is quite central however very dangerous, it is off a small lane with drug activity day and night, quite sad to see many addicts on the street, we did not feel safe walking around at night (we are 2 young women). We were trying to be understanding as we have stayed in many places however this was such a disappointing place to stay. Would not recommend to stay here. Very disappointing.
• Patrik (8/5): Very good - When we walked in the door, the apartment was very nice, and in walking distance from most of the attractions in the city. The owner is very kind and helpful. He sent us an email before arrival that contained every information we needed, like the closest metro stations, shops, etc, so it was really easy for us to find everything nearby. The neighbourhood is awful. The streets stinks of pee and you can find other stuff that comes out of humans here and there. We also found several syringes on the streets (I guess they were not used for vaccination). Graffities and barbed wires are everywhere. I highly recommend not leaving your car on the streets in that area. We didn't have any issues, but didn't feel safe in the smaller streets in the area. Also there was a party near the apartment on saturday, and they were singing and playing music very loudly until 4-5AM. They had a very poor taste in music unforunately.
• Nataliia (8/5): Great apartment and amazing host but be aware about city center neighbourhoods in Athens - Nice and clean apartment. Amazing host, we had some troubles and he was very pleasant to talk to, easy to solve our problems. It’s very close to city center and the subway station. Beds are comfy, though be aware that sofa is definitely for sleeping The street the apartment located. This is the only con of this apartment. But to be honest, this is how Athens are - unfortunately in the city center it’s difficult to find cleans and friendly neighbourhood

• Andrei (4/5): There is a small area on the street of the apartment and nearby, where the sidewalks are full of needles from drug addic - Close to center and metro, walking distance to zone filled with restaurants Very dirty, mold in the bathroom, full of long hairs, not cleaned properly, we had to vacuum clean the sofa ourselves because it was dirty and full of dust
• Chloe (9/5): Great stay in Athens! - Loved the accommodation overall, it was extremely clean and secure as we felt safe throughout the whole trip. Beds were comfortable, all appliances worked and the owner George was extremely accommodating going out of his way to help us constantly. The location of the property was not in the best neighbourhood of Athens but very close to the metro to go over to the next town.
• Kunyang (5/5): Good value but with compromises... - The kitchen was modern, the check in process was smooth and George is very communicative. The balcony was a nice add, and the AC worked perfectly. Really close to the metro and plenty of nice local restaurants near by. Great value for Athens, but at a compromise of course (more in next section). The location is a rough, definitely not a great impression of Athens from the neighborhood (within the building it was fine, just stepping outside you immediately know it's not great). The soundproofing was also not great, we could hear neighbors yelling and cars passing by all night as if the window was fully open even when they are fully shut. While the apartment was very clean and modern, the bathroom had some mold issues.
• Dioni (1/5): It was awful - nothing! It was not the house that we rent it was a very big spider and was very dirty. The neighbor was a disaster all around were very dangerous people heroine, Brothels and people who sleeping all around of the building of the house.
• Alicjusz00 (9/5): Great apartment - A huge plus was great contact with the owner, who was very helpful. Nice, clean and well-kept apartment. The room definitely met our expectations and was comfortable and really well-equipped 😁 We recommend 😊 The only complaint is the unfriendly location, but there are plenty of similar streets in Athens and it is impossible not to stumble upon them. The building itself is nice and pleasant.

• Bahar (10/5): Amazing Host, Great For Its Price - Even though there were some hiccups at first, our host George took care of everything himself. His communication was top tier. Because the house is in somewhat a sketchy neighborhood, the security measures were really good. We felt safe as a family.

Upon arrival, one is greeted by the stark contrast of a new building set against the gritty, spirited streets that tell stories of diversity and resilience. The apartment itself is a sanctuary of modernity, offering a clean, well-designed space that provides a tranquil retreat from the urban frenzy. The vicinity is dotted with interesting sites, inviting residents and visitors alike to explore the unique offerings of the neighbourhood. From aromatic food stalls that waft tantalizing scents to hidden gems of local shops, there's an inherent promise of discovery and adventure. However, it's essential to approach this experience with an open mind. The area might not boast the manicured landscapes or serene vistas of more residential neighbourhoods, but it compensates with a palpable sense of community and a tapestry of cultural experiences. In essence, this modern apartment is more than just a place to stay; it's a window into the heart of urban life, a blend of comfort and character, and a space where every corner tells a story. For those eager to embrace the raw and real side of the city, this place is a canvas, ready to be coloured with experiences of your own making. I don't have anything negative to add. It just wasn't the right fit for me.
• Hanna_mansour (7/5): Super Host , but... - George, the host, actually is very helpful and kind. Location of this stay will literally kill the vibes of this beautiful city.it is located in a suburb where you can unfortunately spot people taking drugs or sleeping on the streets, I trully won't recommend it if you are travelling with family or if you are a solo female travelling. Bathroom is so small, water faucet and sink are so small you can't even freely brush your teeth,shower design is weird, and hot water is only available for 5 minutes after waiting for 20 min. to warm up, I guess it won't be an issue if you are travelling during summer. There is no air ventilation, only one window in the kitchen also no sunlight enter the room The room is not sound proof , you can hear people on the upper floor , or people passing by from the street, also the sanitary pipe is located near the living room and the bedroom so whenever your neighbours above you doing their business you can hear the toilet flushing through your walls
