- Bethany (10/5): -
- Alison (7/5): It was okay, and the actual room was priced competitively - Convenient location and description made it easy to find, had facilities although the water run by pumps that were noisy The £300 deposit that they took from my credit card and will keep for up to 10days
- Mohamed (10/5): - Most things Small bathroom

- Samuel (8/5): Great stay in bricklane - full deposit back no problem everything was smooth - Price is great, location great, as with some hotels had to pay deposit but after great stay was returned. Normal process for a hotel. As with any 3rd parties photo photo photo... because selfcheckin I photo everything incase of any disputes, again if you don't do this prove you didn't cause damage type things.. This host was great better than other hotels / studio accomdation. Everything was great, it water presure sometimes slow but was usable.
- Juan (1/5): We were not sleep Because the staff didn't answer our calls - The staff did not answer our calls.
- Laura (7/5): -
- Kaila (8/5): - The room and bathroom was a very nice size, staff were very accommodating The bathroom had a bit of a smell but everything was clean
- Roshan (8/5): Really good service. Like including kitchen. And the toilet are very clean and tidy. - Includes kitchen Very rush and always hectic. Cooler can be considered,It’s very very hot inside the room.
- Sophie (1/5): It was disappointing. And a shame because we would’ve loved to stay there again because the location was so good. - Not like the images at all. It was in a good location, but that’s about it. The property was messy The shower didn’t work and we had to complain and fix it ourselves. There was rubbish all over the kitchen and bin bags. Everywhere there was nails in the table. The toilet had duct tape all over it. It was overall nothing like the images.
- Elliot (7/5): -
- Benedetta (7/5): -
- CHEN (5/5): - Just soso Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing stay. The bathroom had a strong, unpleasant smell that did not go away throughout my visit. The surrounding area was extremely noisy, with several nearby Indian restaurants , making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
Additionally, the room was dusty and did not feel properly cleaned — it seemed like no one had stayed there for quite some time. Overall, the cleanliness and comfort were far below expectations.
- Marek (5/5): It was alright - Nothing special Nothing special
- Janeece (10/5): -
- Jurijs (8/5): Good location, budget place for few days in London. - The view from the window ant Teras is magnificent. The enter to the building and door not looks safety.
During the rain floor in bathroom was wet.
- Becky (4/5): Very mixed, could be so much better - Overall the apartment was okay but it needs some serious TLC. A few fixes and it would be great for the location. Stairs up to the flat were filthy, carpet and sofa bed a bit grubby, no drainer in the shower so just an open hole with water visible. Toilet moved when you sat on it, felt like it would come away from the wall. Despite requesting the sofa bed made up it was not and there was only one single duvet on the double bed. I rang customer service and was told via a message (much later) to find another cover in the cupboard. I found a mattress topper which we made do with and had to make it all ourselves, using a spare duvet eventually found in the copious amount of laundry stored at the flat. Also only one glass in the whole flat.
- Joe (4/5): Cheap for a reason - TV only works on YouTube.
Hot water doesn't run unless you run cold first but even then intermittent.
Carpet and pillows stained.
- Sheyla (7/5): Un alojamiento amplio y bien ubicado - La ubicación está muy bien, la cama era muy cómoda y la habitación es amplia. Es un poco ruidosa por las noches (viernes y sábado los días que más).
- Juliana (9/5): - It is close to the station and a very spacious room. I like how entry was keyless so I didn’t have to worry about carrying that around. It is also very close to lots of shops and restaurants You can hear a lot of the street noise so if your are a light sleeper, it might be difficult to get to sleep
- Catherine (2/5): Terrible, it’s a shame. - It had clean bedding Above noisy bar, thumping music until 2.30 am. Windows didn’t shut. Lights broken. Carpet filthy and stained as was chair. Toilet seat broken. Shower had no power. Kitchen was full of linens and cleaning stuff for air bnb so couldn’t use it. Thin curtains that didn’t block out the full lighting outside. Weird smell in room, kind of dirty. Stains on everything. Horrible night
- Henfling (9/5): -
- Tracey (8/5): - The proximity was good , beds were comfortable and the housekeeper changed thr sheets when wevaerevthere Very dirty carpet, toilet wasn't fixed on tontbevfloor had to wait 20 minutes outside beforecth3 cide worked for tbe room because the housekeeper was late
- Karoly (8/5): Great value for money, close to the city center. - Great location as being very close to Liverpool street, can reach it within 10 minutes walking. Also, Brick Lane is a lively street and area, full of restaurants and bars. Traveling for business, it was impossible to get my company VAT details on the receipt. Be aware that invoicing is based on Booking.com details, cannot be customized with extra details.

- Maz (8/5): Aanbevolen voor stadsavonturiers. - Fantastische lokatie op Brick Lane, bruisende buurt. Goed voorzien van alles in de kitchenette. Dak-patio was een bonus.
- Dorobantu (5/5): I don’t think I would recommend this place - The location was good as it was close to my office but other than that, I didn’t like the area much. The room had no AC and it was boiling inside bit when opening the window from the room, all I could see was a bunch of things thrown on the roof, a lot of dirt and debris which I didn’t like at all.
The warm water was running for 30 seconds and then cold water for one minute so it wasn’t comfortable when showering.
There was also a lot of movement on the stairs, so not so much of a quiet place.
- Valand (1/5): We will never book this property - Nothing I had an absolutely shocking and disgusting experience at Brooklands Hotel in Bournemouth. The room was in a filthy and unacceptable state — a blood-stained bed sheet, a shower tap that wouldn’t stop running, and a cheap, uncomfortable mattress that made it impossible to sleep. To make matters worse, the coffee machine didn’t even work, and no replacement or proper service was offered. For a hotel in such a prime beach location, this was nothing short of third-class service. It felt like we were staying in a neglected budget motel, not a professional establishment. I am extremely disappointed and angered by this experience, and I demand a full explanation and proper compensation for the inconvenience, discomfort, and complete lack of basic hygiene and hospitality.
So we need to compensation for that
- Jain (1/5): Not a good experience of staying with Verv Brick Lane - Nothing The room and place was a big surprise when I reached there. It was totally different then when, i booked and the picture they showed me while booking. I feel they cheated me with the room showed in picture and actual room was given.
Staff response wasn't very supportive. I requested early check-in and it wasn't considered. I was told the check in time 3pm and when I reached at the property, they informed me check in time is 4pm( after calling 3 times on with long distance call)
The entrance is very narrow and no lifts. So be prepared for taking the stairs with your bags. And there's no staff to help.
- Nicola (10/5): Fantastic stay in London - Clean great location and everything we needed 🙂 Nothing
- 1luke2 (2/5): Broken bed! - Location was very close to the event venue that we were attending This stay was dire. After being unable to access our room on two separate occasions due to issues with the automated entry system, we were greeted with a dilapidated kitchen full of bags of laundry and broken cupboards.
We then had someone setting off fireworks only meters from the property.
Then we got into bed to discover that the bed was completely broken! So many of the slats were just on the floor and several of the clips to hold them in place were missing. I had to spend almost an hour trying to repair it myself so that I actually had somewhere to sleep. Even after that, it felt very unsafe to sleep on.
The host also demands a very significant deposit which is held for some days after the booking, which is fairly out of the ordinary for a one night stay
- Cathal (4/5): Disappointing -
- Aaqib (9/5): Superb -
- Megija (5/5): Reasonable price performance for few nights. - The location was amazing, in a busy area with cool neighborhoods. Price performance was reasonable. No AC, we went to London when it was 30+ degrees celsius and it was hard to sleep, but again price performance was reasonable. The one thing bad was the bed was broken and the wood plates were falling out, that made sleeping horrible.
- Leonard (4/5): Ok but would never return as it felt a little unclean - Location was fine The room is basic with a shared entrance to a joint kitchen type area which was dirty and untidy
- Evan (9/5): Excellent - Central location
- Amran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant -
- Carl (8/5): Very good -
- Atli (7/5): Good -
- Katie (10/5): Fantastic studio apartment in the heart of London. - The location was fantastic, the views were beautiful and it had everything you might need for a nights stay. Nothing!
- Conor (10/5): Excellent location and facilities met all my needs, my only problem was I had to go home - Excellent location and facilities met all my needs My stay wasn’t longer
- Oddoye (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (8/5): absolutley perfect place to lay my head for the night and have a lovely warm shower in the morning - I liked how close it was to my office and it was quiet, clean and comfy. all the black bags of linen in the kitchen
- Welsh (8/5): Very good -
- Tolu (2/5): Very poor -
- Josh (8/5): Very good -
- Bolu (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sarah (1/5): Don’t book - We were informed a couple of days before our one night stay I had to upload my Id and pay £300 to get the key code, I refused to do either especially downloading my id on an app and so they would not give me the key code and so we didn’t stay at the property. All the times I have booked with booking.com never had to do this. Refused to repay me, please be aware of the situation informed them I would give my id face to face but would not accept this. All seems a bit dodgy to me n uncalled for. Would not recommend this property due to this . Still trying to sort this, no refund so far
- Isabella (8/5): Good value for money in London - A great location on Brick Lane, the room was very clean, tidy and warm The pillows and bed weren’t comfortable at all, pillows especially
- Mae (7/5): Would recommend staying here but could use a deep clean! - Amazing location, right in the centre of Brick Lane! Plenty of places to visit. The room was very bright and clean for the most part! Even had access to a balcony on the top floor which had great views. There was a broken light fixture in the room (fallen off the wall) and it was slightly dirty in the shower ( leftover case for a razor and hairs on the wall)
- Onoworemu (9/5): Superb -
- Rahul (9/5): Superb -
- Pip (6/5): Pleasant - Not easy check in . If I had known it was not a staffed accommodation I would not have selected to stay there. Fair price
- Molly (1/5): Awful. Unsafe. Smelly. Catfish. - Absolutely atrocious. Unsafe. Catfish of photos. Smelly. Incompetent staff. The system to get into the doors is an automated key pad , this system doesn’t work. I was locked out of my bedroom for multiple hours standing in a towel left on a common space that multiple people had access to. No one was able to help me for multiple hours, no one knew how to fix the problem. I was left in a towel, freezing and unsafe. There was also a camera in the communal area that I didn’t see mentioned anywhere. Couldn’t state how awful this property is. Absolutely atrocious. Unsafe. Catfish of photos. Smelly. Incompetent staff. The system to get into the doors is an automated key pad , this system doesn’t work. - Rebecca (4/5): Disappointing -
- Billy (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Fernando (3/5): Poor -
- Sophia (8/5): Very comfy, clean, and cozy! -
- Wame (6/5): The apartment was pretty decent and staff very responsive to all my inquiries and requests. - I loved the color theme of the house. Especially the bedroom, the carpet, wall hangings, stunning.
I also liked that it has eating outlets right downstairs and clothes/thrift stores down the street, super convenient. I didn’t like that I shared a bathroom. This information was not provided on their page in booking.com.
When I first arrived I felt the location looked dodgy but I got used to it after some time.
- Baba (10/5): Exceptional - Privacy No.physical staff
- Knott (10/5): Great place and location -
- Simon (9/5): Very Brick Lane - enjoyed it. - Location, communication and value for money were all superb. Water pressure meant the shower was weaker than I like but not sure the host can change that. Storage of spare towels and bedding in the central area compressed that space a little.
- Oyebola (8/5): Very good -
- Photography (1/5): Bad -
- Rebekah (4/5): Won’t be returning - Comfy bed Hard to access steep stairs tv remote not working inaccessible plug socket
- Grant (4/5): Too many unpleasant surprises compared to my stay at other places nearby. -
- Rebecca (1/5): Do yourself a favour and avoid - Bed was comfortable Shared apartment and bathroom - unexpected! When I arrived the other guest was in the bathroom for ages and I really needed the toilet. Stairwell was dirty. Key code access to bedroom was annoying. The apartment was tatty and unpleasantly hot.
I also got charged £300 for the deposit instead of £100 and despite them, saying it was a hold deposit, it was actually taken. I reported the issues and was told someone would ring back. I called 3 times not one call back until I chased again and was told there was nothing they could do but wait 7-10 days for this to be refunded, despite being promised earlier in the day the hold would be lifted by the end of the day. I have asked for their for.al complaints procedure butbit has not been forthcoming yet......terrible experience.
- Tom (7/5): Good -
- David (1/5): Bad -
- Jacob (8/5): Did the trick! - Perfect location. Room was clean and had everything I needed. The lock on the front door was a bit difficult to operate, and the internal corridors to get to the room were a bit smelly and decrepit. Once in the room, though, everything was fine and lovely.
- Charlotte (3/5): Wouldn’t stay again - How quickly we could get booked There was no hot water , no heating, drafts from the windows. Key code on bedroom doors didn’t work
- Yamikani (6/5): Excellent stay for someone on a budget. - Low budget, location close to station and restaurants. In a fairly popular location so outside noise was loud.
- Iulia (8/5): Very good - Everything was exactly like in the pictures, clean and perfect for someone with a low budget. The tube is 10-15 min away. Really beautifull room, we were 3 and we had an extra bed really comfortable, in the pictures i took it was right before we left. The toilet wasn't in place. You could fall with it if you weren't carefull.
- Lucas (1/5): Nightmare - You haven’t replied to my emails, the phone number listed on the booking doesn’t work, and no one picks up. The only way I managed to send a message was through WhatsApp, yet even there I received no response. You simply replied with a “hi,” ignored my repeated calls, and left my message on read without any response to my request.
This lack of communication is incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
We explained everything by email regarding our arrival, mentioning that we might check in later. When we booked, we also included a request for an evening check-in, yet we received absolutely no information by email or even a simple message by phone.
We spent the entire night searching for accommodation due to this issue and the complete lack of respect for the customer. It felt as though this was all done on purpose, as if you only cared about taking our money. The money itself is the least of our concerns; the real issue was the nightmare of being stranded in the rain on a cold night in London—a city we don’t know, during our first visit, experiencing all this stress and disappointment.
We walked through the city looking for somewhere to stay, but since it was the weekend, finding a place was nearly impossible. After hours of searching, we finally found somewhere at 4 a.m., utterly exhausted and nearly ready to give up on London altogether.
This experience has left us feeling deeply frustrated, saddened, and disheartened. Everything
- Dragos (8/5): Very good -
- Phil (5/5): Passable - The actual room was great. But there were suitcases lined up the stairs in the hallway, the main lights didn’t work in the room and there was an awful smell outside the apartment.
- Silvia (6/5): Good position but lacked proper supply - The position We were in three and they prepared just two bed. The third bed was a little bit uncomfortable
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Kylie (8/5): Comfortable and good value - Clean, comfortable, good location and good value
- Esterina (1/5): Bad - I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable at the property. I agreed that I would let a plumber in the property in relation to a leak to the below property. I was told that I would let him in and he would only be there for a a maximum of 5 minutes. I turned up to the property to him being in the property and it was over an hour before he was finished. After i left i was called by the management company to say that he was due back after i had showered even though i had asked them to deactivate his entry code. This made me really uncomfortable as i no longer felt safe and knew if anyone else had access to the property. This is the unsafest ive ever felt. When i complained to booking. Com they said that the property management did not respond to my complaint and did not investigate! Which is completely unacceptable from both companies
- Nour (8/5): Clean room and bathroom and super great location!!! However building was a bit dirty and smelly and is on a very busy st - Very nice location, staff helped me cause i had difficulty checking in and were very helpful!! Room is great and bathroom is big and great!! Foul smell in building that really wasn’t great and room wasn’t very well isolated cause street is very busy so loads of noise at night. Bed a bit small for two
- Kristian (8/5): Very good -
- Naeeme (3/5): Poor -
- Nicole (6/5): Nice location and cozy - It was in the centre of brick lane, it was clean and had access to a kitchen and iron and they supplied shower gel for our stay, it was so easy to get to all of the shops and the room had a heater and was cosy. It was tricky getting in and finding the property and the stairs going up smelt foisty and really weird. All the codes were the same from the front door to the kitchen and our room which made us feel a bit unsafe and concerned thinking that everybody had the same code. The systems wasn’t easy to use and it took us ages to get in but I couldn’t get in touch with anybody. And it’s very loud at night with it being in the heart of brick lane but that’s okay and expected.
- Joeper (9/5): Nevertheless it was a nice stay and will definitely come back. Thank you - Its location that is accessible, room itself is clean and comfy, amenities are provided for the guests to use. It was a little issue during my check in, but the admin was efficient and quick enough to rectify and resolve it. There was just an unpleasant smell by the hallway, just unsure if it’s rotten something, but for the admin to look into
- Hayley (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (8/5): Communication was good with the booking.com. It was exactly as listed. After booking a deposit is necessary but understa - Great location and price Nothing
- Paddy (7/5): Perfect for a quick stop over with minimal luggage - The bed was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and well presented. The bathroom needs some work doing to it. My shower wasn’t getting any hot water even after running the water for 5mins! I’d had a hot shower the night before so I knew it had worked!
- Daniel (1/5): Bad -
- Suzanne (7/5): good and comfortable, everything i needed - great location bit noisy on the street but nothing you can do about that
maybe more lighting inside as felt a little creepy
also better signage outside as walked past a few times before i found it
- Alena (5/5): Passable - The main feature of this apartment is its location. It can be both a plus and a minus, so it is worth considering.
The room was clean and cosy enough. The building is historically old) I was asked for a deposit, which is written in the notes, but it was still a surprise.
The room was located right on Brick Lane, so it was noisy but still okay. The most horrible thing is the neighbours—it seems I can hear all the neighbours around, and some of them move back and forth 24/7. Take it into consideration and take earplugs.
- M (9/5): Superb - Entry system a bit perplexing, but that aside really good. Clean and tidy and excellent value.
