We paid for a harbour view room but we were put down the end so our view was the neighbouring building. I booked months in advance so we were disappointed that we didn’t get the view that was advertised.

Breakfasts were first class. Price for room was decent but high for what you get in the room. Clean sparsely decorated rooms and hallways. Was expecting more of an architectural experience and art on the walls but we didn’t get that. No art in the rooms. Shower was half open so the outside of the shower was always wet. If you can afford it get a water view because the bridge side was a llittle boring and bright lights at the park above shine in

- Marci (4/5): The stay was clunky and not the seamless stay we would expect at such a location - Th property is beautiful, amenities were clean and the staff were fine. We were disappointed the room wasn’t ready at check in time - 3pm, we were left waiting for another 30 mins. The fold out bed wasn’t ready. We were travelling with 2 kids and they offered us 2 drink vouchers for the bar while we waited - so only enough for 2 adults. Then once we finally checked in, straight to the pool at 330pm, to find out 20 mins later, they close it at 4pm. Food in the restaurant was over priced and fine but not worth the money. Service was ok, I had to constantly try to get waiters attention for extra needs.

- Keith (10/5): Pier One quality in Sydney - I knew of this hotel from earlier visits to my favourite city (Sydney) when I have had drinks on the terrace. And so on this trip we were determined to stay properly. To be honest we have stayed in somewhat more budget hotels on our train trip across Australia, and so we were looking forward to a couple of nights in Pier One, and we were not disappointed. Great staff, excellent facilities, and we were lucky enough to have a top-floor room with the vaulting of the warehouse roof to give the impression of space. Excellent view of the bridge from our (rather small?) window. The restaurant was shut, but the burger from the bar menu among the best I have tasted. We would deffo stay again! Not applicable!

- Helena (10/5): Good value: excellent hotel, excellent location, and affordable. Memorable. - I had just disembarked from the ship early in the morning. My room was ready when I got to the front desk. Thank you to Xavier, the concierge, who delivered my bags as soon as my room was assigned, and Caja, the front desk, who made the check-in process easy and quick. Both the bathroom and the room were large and tastefully furnished. The Nespresso coffee maker and coffee pods provided was excellent. The coffee was a great espresso, but I should have asked about the cream. The pillows have the perfect amount of give, the mattress is incredibly comfy, and the linens were fresh and opulent. The first-floor room had a pleasant outlook and was peaceful. Location: Sydney Harbor, The Rocks, the promenade, dining options, and shopping are all just a short distance from the hotel. The Opera House is accessible via the promenade on foot or bicycle. The commuter ferry wharf and public bus and tram terminals are located along the promenade. This is a well-liked spot to hang out. I ordered a steak with fries, something from the kids’ menu, and a spicy Bloody Mary at the bar rather than outdoors seating area. The place was short-staffed. While the steak was tough, the fries were great.

- Robyn (10/5): Pier One was Sensational - The view and central location was sensational. Walking distance to the Rocks, Circular Rand Opera house. The Sydney Harbour Bridge View was so close we could see the bridge climbers clearly. The service was top rate, all staff very helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed and more and the beds super comfortable. Definitely be staying with Pier One again. Everything met our needs and more.

- Michael (7/5): Not a bad place to stay Harbourside in a part of the city I didn’t know well, but I’ve had better value elsewhere - Nice ambiance in the bar and restaurant. The post purchase upgrade to a ‘bridgeview room’ was very disappointing… an 800 mm wide dirty window through which a pylon could be seen. The room itself was pretty underwhelming.

- Alexis (8/5): Wonderful birthday retreat - The location was obviously fantastic, can’t get any closer to the water unless you jumped in. The team organised a special birthday treat upon arrival in the room - wine + birthday cake, a really fantastic touch that exceeded expectations. The bar and restaurant staff were really lovely and accomodating and concierge were helpful. The only thing we’d say is for the price you pay, the rooms are quite small and seem dated. The view and the service from staff were great though.

- HeideWickes (7/5): Great location. Eat elsewhere. - Room was as expected. Location excellent and as expected. Bar staff could have been friendlier. Food in restaurant was disappointing compared to the usual excellent standard in and around Sydney. I was quite surprised by this.
- Victoria (6/5): - Seemed understaffed. Couldn’t get me into my room until 1700 with me really pushing though they kept promising to let me know when the room was ready. Then they didn’t deliver my bag until I had to ask a few times. They did their best to accommodate and give free drinks etc but for a hotel of that calibre you’d hope it wouldn’t come to that.
