Guest Reviews
- Susan (8/5): Peaceful and picturesque - This property is in a rural location on the edge of the Cluny Lagoon near Ouse. The setting is picturesque and is very private. Whilst it can accommodate large groups, if you book as a couple you still have exclusive use. The property suited our needs so there was nothing to dislike. Just be aware that all beds are upstairs with bathroom downstairs.
- Vanessa (10/5): Want a serene, beautiful country stay? This is it! - It was an excellent example of how beautiful and serene Tasmania is in the country. I loved this stay. The bunkhouse is close to the main house but Brad gives you complete privacy, which is one thing I want in a stay but have seen in other reviews he is accommodating if you would like a chat or help with lighting the fire pit etc. the bunkhouse is clean and comfortable. I liked everything, just go slow on the short gravel road it takes you to drive in.
- Samuel (10/5): -
- Murray (8/5): Very nice rural stay - Eagles on the way in each day
- Tracey (9/5): -
- LovinOZ (10/5): - Peace and quiet. Beautiful location. View. Comfortable. Charlie.
- Steven (7/5): -
- Peter (8/5): - I liked the seclusion and position beside the lagoon, the roominess inside. The limited bench space and dimness of light in the kitchen .
- Nichole (9/5): Rest on the lake. - Wat a cosy restful spot to spend a night. We wish we had of had time to spend a few more nights. A lovely helpful, reapectful host who.made sure we had clear instructions and felt welcome. Having the whole house was luxury.
- Richard (8/5): Nice quiet stay with a responsive host. Accommodation is basic but that is reflected in the price. Good little stop over - Quite and very pretty over looking the lake. Accommodation could do with a little spruce up.
- Stuart (7/5): - Peaceful nice view for an over night Bit dusty
- SUTCLIFFE (10/5): Stunning views - I loved the views, friendly host and the homely feel of the bunkhouse The water pressure in the shower was a little lower then I'm used to.

- Helen (9/5): Beautiful serene place in the countryside - Loved the rustic cabin and especially the lake views Nothing
- Megan (10/5): Idyllic bunkhouse setting - The location of the bunkhouse was beautiful and peaceful. The host sent me excellent instructions on how to get there.
It was very welcoming and comfortable. I was so happy to be able to let my dog wander around outside. There were lots of things to explore but I had to head home in the morning.
The host was extremely generous with the food and toiletries in the bunkhouse. That's quite unusual in BnBs these days. I was sorry I was on a diet so couldn't try all the lovely snacks! Lovely thick towel and beautiful bedspread on my bed.
I loved meeting the flock of turkeys in the morning. Nothing

- Ross (7/5): Lovely view, Excellent host, Large house to ourselves. Just needs some love. - Location is very good great view over river. House to ourselves was excellent. Large rooms. Just needs some love and care. Curtains could do with being replaced and level out the drive into the property.
- Santos (10/5): It was extremely relaxing and comfortable. - The first thing to like is the bunk house is perched on a property overlooking a picturesque section of the River Derwent. The second thing to like is that both the ambience of the property and the relaxed attitude of the host create a comfortable feeling for guests. Apart from that, the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay -- from a very strong wifi connection to a clean bathroom and shower to heaps of open space to relax. There is also the opportunity to explore the Derwent via the onsite canoe. The road to access the property is a bit rough but if you drive carefully even a little car like my Honda was able to traverse it safely.
- Sharon (8/5): - The setting was beautiful overlooking the water. It was quiet and peaceful. Stunning sunset and sunrise. Comfortable self-catering bunkhouse. Our host, Brad, communicated well and respected our privacy.
- Lana (10/5): - Loved the scenery and the thoughtfulness for the guests Nothing
- Alexandra (10/5): Cozy. Amazing views. - Host was communicative and spent Christmas ensuring everything would be good for our stay. It was a great stay. Very sweet dog. Amazing views! Cozy bunks.

- Caroline (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at The Bunkhouse at Camp Infinite, it was a welcomed stop to relax, chill & soak in the fabulous view of the Derwent River. The bunkhouse was comfortable and spacious, it had everything we needed, I would have loved to have stayed another night to explore the area more . Our host Brad was friendly & helpful, he also had a great sense of humour.
Great place to stay. We had the place to ourselves so it was perfect!

- John (8/5): -
- Anna (8/5): A great place to chill out and relax. - It was quiet and secluded with beautiful views. Rustic decor with a peaceful atmosphere.
The owner made sure the place was warm when we arrived and gave instructions to message him if we needed anything. More time to stay longer.
A little more bench space in the kitchen would be helpful although we managed well enough.
- Lisa (6/5): Our accommodation was good and comfortable. - It has a lovely outlook of the Lake. The lounge room was comfortable and warm. Bed was comfortable and warm. The owner seemed lovely on the phone. The rubbish on the slope to the lake. Birds in the ceiling scratching around.
- Hannah (10/5): Hidden Gem - A beautiful hidden gem! The location was incredible, with a stunning view overlooking the lake. The property was very clean and had everything you needed. Brad was super friendly and very helpful and I can’t not mention the adorable pup Charlie - it’s a must stay!
- David (6/5): A real gem in need of some polish - Rural location and lake views The property has huge potential which is let down by mess and clutter around the outside and to a lesser degree inside.
Also some windows and the front door look directly onto the owners house which is very near by.
- Diana (10/5): -
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Jack (10/5): A great stay - Very spacious, comfortable and cosy.
The sofa fantastically comfy.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay with beautiful views and cozy facilities.
- Nicky (1/5): Nice view. Kitchen was handy. Sleeps lots of people. Very odd how dirty is was though outside - View from cabin. Easy check in. Very dirty attached cabin with cobwebs, bird poo, junk and odd items lying around as well as garbage outside back door overflowing. Toothbrushes and soap used in bathroom like someone lived there. Very strange as the previous reviews were great?

- Gary (7/5): Good -
- Vicki (7/5): Good -

- Allison (10/5): Beautiful home overlooking the lake - The location is beautiful with a great view of the lake and the house is perfect for a quiet, cozy stay. Brad was great with communicating and even let us check in a little early! The house has lots of heaters and blankets for cold nights and is in a great location for visiting the national park. Bonus - getting to meet Charlie, Brad’s very sweet and adorable dog! Would definitely stay again! Nothing.
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (6/5): Pleasant - View.
Communication with owner. Shower not clean
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keightley (10/5): Marvellous - Amazing property so peaceful had house to ourselves when it goes dark you can see baby kangaroos and we think we're tasmanian devils came right up by the house we were right by the river best place in tasmania even had a call from Brad the owner yo see if we could find it ok was down a dirt track but house was like home from home even had Netflix on tv to watch nice clean beds and towels sheets were so fresh and clean would highly recommend thanx Brad.
- Burgess (8/5): Very good - The grounds could have been a little tidier
- Jerry (10/5): Exceptional - The place is beautiful and tranquil. Space for days and so was the accommodation. My stay was too short
- Mhairi (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place right by the river, Brad (and Charlie 🐶) was super friendly and welcoming host. Kayaks and paddle boards available for use on the river as well which was an unexpected bonus. Place was very clean and tidy. Had everything you need for a getaway. Perfect stopover for me on my way west. Only thing to note is the 5km on the gravel/dirt road and the driveway coming into the place is a bit bumpy/hard on little cars.
- Glenda (8/5): We only had an overnight stay, another night or two would have been great to explore the area more. - Location was great with views over the water. Spacious rooms.
- Annabel (10/5): Exceptional - Ultimately peaceful ✌️
- Gladys (9/5): Amazing views! - The bunkhouse is very spacious and has everything needed to have a good time. The view and surroundings are amazing. Brad is a great host. Nothing.
- Paul (8/5): A bush stay like no other! - Set on a farm with an amazing lake - kayaking at sunrise was spectacular- as was the night time stars.
An eclectic space - bunks upstairs living room, kitchen and facilities downstairs. Inc great TV and Netflix.
Peacocks and Turkeys walking the nearby properties added a really different element. NA
- Markos (8/5): Relaxing tranquil lake views - The country feeling and quite outdoor feeling The adjacent building was very messy . The upstairs bed facility didn’t cater for a couple to share a bed needs at least a queen size bed for comfort and relaxation
- David (7/5): Good -
- Jan (5/5): Could suit some, didn't suit me - Very quiet and peaceful location and outlook. Great building. Good stairs to access top level. Host wasn't home when we arrived but communicated well to check we were ok with everything. Good directions provided Bed mattresses were not at all comfortable for me. Kitchen area was extremely small and difficult to use with 2 people (even worse for a group).
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (9/5): Relaxing - Beautiful location overlooking a lake, very quiet, lots of space (though I was by myself so I didnt need it all). Friendly host with an even friendlier dog. More opening windows with fly screens. Cooking facilities are basic but adequate.
- Francesca (9/5): Pleasant stay. Peaceful and comfortable, overlooking the water, beautiful sunset view. - So nice to be able to cook and stay in for a quiet night while travelling. And free Netflix.
- Dori (8/5): Very good -
- Tien (8/5): We had a very pleasant stay - the house is spacious, situated in a farm area, has a view towards a beautiful lake. providing couples of possibilities for entertainment We wish we could stay longer as situated in a farm, so dirt is easy to get inside the house
- Elisabeth (10/5): Excellent spot to give a busy mind a rest. - Beautiful spot any nature lover would enjoy. Facilities to cater for yourself. Owner was friendly and accommodating but also respected our privacy. Recommend for those who want a place a bit out the city. Bed was comfy. House was quirky and had character. Would recommend and stay again. There wasn't anything we didn't like.
- Rick (8/5): Very good -
- Laurence (9/5): Superb - The house was very spacious , comfortable ,clean and with good facilities. Early morning by the lake was amazing . If you want peace and beautiful natural surroundings, the Bunkhouse is ideal! Nothing.
- Daisy (9/5): Superb -
- Kay (6/5): Pleasant - Accommodation clean and comfortable with Cable TV available,.
The views were extraordinary, an excellent spot to take in the landscape and peacefulness of the surroundings. Spectacular sunrise and sunsets. The accommodation was very basic with a small kitchenette, bunkhouse upstairs with 1 bathroom downstairs.
- Jules (9/5): A simple dwelling, with all that we needed- but the location was amazing 🤩 - Location location location
- Steve (7/5): Lovely scenery , but the style of accommodation is not for us - Great location , nice views Kitchen area difficult to use/a bit cluttered,
- Donner (9/5): Superb -
- Baiba (10/5): Exceptional - Super welcoming host, great kitchen possibilities
- Ainslea (10/5): Lake View, Pet friendly, Farm Vibes!!! - Loved the bunk cabin, we booked very last minute and Brad was super accommodating and provided me all the usual nessisary house & access details very quickly.
The location was awesome, down the road from Repulse dam if your up for a bit of 4x4 driving otherwise meadowbank lake is also beautiful for a picnic, park for kids, fishing, boating etc.
What I loved most about this place was the View, lake front, some cute little turkeys running around out in the field and pet friendly it was awesome!
For the price I'd 100% recommend tassie locals and tourists to stay and night or 2 and soak up this fun patch of land!!
- Georgia (10/5): Wonderful stay next to lake in remote Tasmania - What a splendid location and accommodation in general! This property way exceeded my expectations in how cosy and comfortable it was. It is pretty far out in the middle of nowhere and near a beautiful lake which gave us the most splendid sunrise view from the big windows on the upper sleeping floor. The pantry was generously stocked as well, which was very much appreciated. Owner gave us very helpful instructions and was very kind and welcoming :)
I would absolutely stay here again. What a wonderful home 🏡
- Jonathan (7/5): Good spot to relax and wind down - Very pretty looking out over the lagoon It was just what it said it was
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Situated in a beautiful place right on the Cluny Lagoon . Well equipped place for me, on a solo stay, or a large group. Will definitely stay again.
- Carol (8/5): Very good - Location is very private, except for hosts house close by
The view over the Derwent River is beautiful especially at sunrise
The bathroom was clean and modern
Lovely and quiet The dining table was small, rustic and hard to clean.
The bedrooms are better suited to a group
The bathroom was downstairs from the bedroom which is ok if you don’t mind a walk at night. The stairs were well lit.
Kitchen was cluttered.
- Felicia (7/5): Warm and cozy - Its a very cosy bunkhouse with all the facilities that you need. Brad is very kind and welcomed us very warmly. It's a little bit far and may be hard to find in the dark, so I would recommend looking for it in the daylight.
- Brittany (6/5): Strange vibes, unique scenic stay great location. - Beautiful location in a unique stay with a cozy feel and a scenic view. Beautiful sunrise over the lake.
Comfortable beds with fresh linen supplied. Free wifi and Netflix. Free access to paddle boards and kayaks if wanted however we only stayed 1 night and didn’t use. Beautiful animals on site especially the peacock. The close proximity between the host and the guests. More information could be provided in regards to the host living at site. The host greeted us at the property however first impressions made us slightly uncomfortable. Outside around the property was quite untidy and gave us strange vibes.
- Lloyd (9/5): Superb -
- Trevor (10/5): Cozy great spot to chill - Great for kids. Picturesque on the lake ,fire pit, serenity . Bunks upstairs were so comfy
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional - Very cozy 2 story building. Nice views on the lake and a very welcoming owner.

- Frances (8/5): Comfortable and enjoyable stay. - Beautiful location. Helpful host. Bedding supplied. Well equipped kitchen.
- Victoria (10/5): Exactly what we needed. Peaceful and relaxing with ample room! - Super friendly host and beautiful location
- Luis (9/5): Superb - Awesome location with great views. The owner provided popcorn and some breakfast (milk cereals, etc.) inside the house.
Quite calm place in the middle of the nature and beside the lake. Not a luxury place but very convenient for the price and location.
Recommended for nature lovers instead of chic seekers.
- Yuchen (8/5): Good experience - Beautiful view, close to nature, very kind host
- Susan (7/5): Worthwhile - Off the beaten track Lots of trip hazards, also owner sent me inappropriate unsolicited pictures of himself and a dead animal after my stay
- Ernie (1/5): Because the place was chained and deserted we went elsewhere. - Because this property was deserted behind a chained and locked gate, we were unable to stay there. The host did not answer our call. We arrived late afternoon to find the farm gate to the property chained and padlocked. We phoned the host, no answer, left a message. The distant buildings looked shabby, deserted and run down. There was no advisory signage at the gate. Fortunately the locals at nearby Hamilton rallied when we contacted them for an alternative place to stay for the night. They were upset by our experience. We ended up staying at nearby Curringa Farm - a wonderful property that we will return to.
- Hermann (10/5): Great value experience! - Great halfway stop between Hobart and Strahan. Brad was a very accomodating host. Bunkhouse very comfortable and spacious for two of us and could host a large group. Great Wifi, big TV. Fantastic country setting on Derwent River Lake with great sunset and sunrise. Would possibly benefit from improvements to outdoor seating facilities.
- Alan (9/5): Superb - The perfect place for isolation and relaxation. Everything is provided for to enjoy your stay.
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Everything exceeded our expectations. Brad was very helpful regarding directions to the property. We borrowed the kayaks for free to go kayaking during the sunrise which was a unique experience in the beautiful peaceful lake. Overall a perfect stay and the only thing that could have made it better would be if we had booked more days. Thank you Brad!
- Sarah (10/5): We really enjoyed a peaceful stay. Lovely location to sit and read a book and enjoy the view - Beautiful location, lovely clean and comfortable house. Kayaks and paddle boards available but as we only stayed one night we didn’t use
- Janice (9/5): Superb -
