Guest Reviews
- Jorja (10/5): Lovely home! - Beautiful!!
- David (10/5): -
- Benton (10/5): very enjoyable thanks - discovering the Adelaide Hills. It was a beautiful part of the world.
- Pam (8/5): It’s a great, well equipped house in a fabulous location marred by a lack of outside maintenance. We were a group of fou - The house was great, the location was great and the interior of the house was very well equipped and very comfortable. When we booked the property we thought it would give us an outdoor sitting and eating opportunity. It didn’t. There was a constant septic tank smell that prohibited outdoor activity or opening windows or doors at the back of the house. Outdoor furniture was not functional. Two cheap fragile timber tables with four flimsy chairs did not make dining outside an option. The advertised babbling creek was almost dry so only created a mosquito haven. The verandah was also in great need of repair. Some boards were almost unsafe to stand on. Mosquito screens on windows at the back of the house had rubber seals hanging out of them making them not mozzie proof. Just as well we were not opening them because of the smell. Also, given the high fire risk of the area, the verandah had not been swept clear of leaf litter and dead branches. My husband swept that down when we arrived.
- Neil (9/5): Very enjoyable and highly recommended and would stay again if the chance arrives. - The location was idyllic, very quiet and leafy and a short walk to the centre of Aldgate. Some nice walks along quiet country roads across from the front door.
The balcony overlooks a small creek with a footbridge that crosses to the paddock on the other side where a couple of kangaroos have found a safe haven. We also spotted koalas in the gum trees next to the house and we were also visited by kookaburras and magpies that came down to check out the city visitors.
Well equipped kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our own meals.
Very quiet spot for relaxing. Only 1 tiny thing that could be fixed is the lock on the bathroom door.
It looks like it needs a bolt housing on the door frame. It just gives bathroom users confidence that someone will not barge in when in use.
- Janine (10/5): Perfectly suited our needs. Relaxing and peaceful. - It is a well designed house, beautiful location. The kitchen and dining accessories were perfect. Beds comfortable and linen clean and high quality. Complimentary tea, coffee and condiments much appreciated. Very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. More instruction about dealing with rubbish in the info book please. Which are the correct bins for recycling, landfill & greenwaste.
- Adele (10/5): We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again - Loved the house, it was so nice, and the running creek was so relaxing. The main bathroom just needs a new lock on it.

- Belinda (8/5): Relaxation, Location and Great value for money. Take us back now! - There was a group of us that stayed and there were so many things we loved; from the tranquility of the little creek and the beautiful grounds, the space we had (each having our own room), it was spotless when we arrived and a great location. There was nothing we didn’t like. The living area could’ve been a bit bigger but didn’t stop us from going anything. We lived this place and it definitely lived up to its name of “Serenity”
- Fiona (8/5): - . .
- Peta (8/5): Perfect weekend get away - Location, beautiful wood fire, lovely house very comfortable No dishwashing tabs so we had to wash by hand - not something I want to do on my weekend off. Owner was hard to get a hold of
- Susan (8/5): -
- Lindsay (8/5): - The location There was no fire wood
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - Location was beautiful and quiet, and after a rainy day, the creek was gushing past, which added to the charm.
- Ritorto (9/5): This property was warm and welcoming with everything you need. - Home was cosy and welcoming with all the utensils and appliances you need.
Fireplace
Kids loved exploring the creek and property. Beds a little hard ( softer by personal preference)
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (8/5): Comfortable and very enjoyable. - Quiet. Spacious. No firewood.
Twice the main overload fuse tripped off and had to be reset.
- Sandy (8/5): Roomy. Well decorated. Gardens in need of care -
- Adrienne (9/5): Perfect holiday with my young kids covering fresh air, gorgeous environment and comfortable home - It was so easy to travel with our kids and in-laws due to provision of options for play and equipment for Bub already there! So relaxing
- Erica (8/5): Very good -
- Stacey (9/5): Lovely spot in the Adelaide Hills - The location, close to Aldgate, beautiful scenery and creek running through the property. There was a strong sewer smell when the toilet/wastes were used. Beds were hard as rocks.
- Norma (8/5): Very good - Location excellent
- Tricia (7/5): Good - Beautiful location with the creek running through the property and you could hear the water running which was just amazingly soothing. Great location as a base to explore the surrounding area. Fantastic Kitchen, shower and Bath tub. The beds could do with an update as they are getting a little worn and uncomfortable for some. The fire place apparently works but no fire wood supplied which wasn't advised which was disappointing.
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (8/5): Very good - The views and surroundings we beautiful.. Only seating to watch tv was a 3 seater couch..
- Toni (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely spot thanks Nothing
- Mark (9/5): Great location & facilities - We were attending our daughters wedding so the location was perfect. We stayed with our family and the accommodation was well suited, was child friendly with lovely toys and they had heaps of fun. The rooms were clean & the beds were comfortable. A coffee machine was most appreciated! Thanks for an enjoyable stay The electricity kept tripping, for no reason (no extra load)
- Brendon (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (7/5): It suited us well - evenings to early morning, not daytime relaxation - for a good price. - The house interior layout and furnishings. A septic-tank smell developed near the front door (outside) while we were there.
Some of the back decking is breaking up and potentially dangerous.
There were no options for bed coverings (doona, sheet or nothing).
- Sandra (9/5): Great location! Spacious and well-equipped family accommodation. Clean and tidy. - The location was superb. The creek and trees on the property were a delight. There was plenty of room in the house and it was fully equipped for family living including games and toys. The swings were appreciated as well. The washing machine and dishwasher were assets as were the baby bath, cot, etc. Just what we needed. The deck needs repairs so wasn't used to its potential.
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Ioannis (9/5): Very clean and in good condition. Close to the forest which makes it breezy and quiet. -
- Rhoda (10/5): A home away from home - clean, spacious, private, comfortable nothing
