Private bathroom (almost new) down the hall was clean and functional.
We'll provisioned common area for guests with tea, coffee etc.
Could not hear much noise from the bar downstairs .
Dinner in the bistro was exceptionally good.
Breakfast across the road at the Corner Shop (opens 5am) was lovely, in quaint surroundings.
Easy, close access to the M1 so it is a great place to break a long road trip. Also a petrol station across the road.
Will definitely return! Soda water at the bar was $5.50/glass!

- Tim (8/5): - Room was clean and tidy and ensuite was spacious and well equipped. Hotel is very close to the Motorway but no road noise. No window that could be opened so fresh air wasn't available. Price was a little high compared to similar motels we stayed at on our trip
- Russell (8/5): -
- Lois (8/5): - The location from the highway was great. Helpful staff. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Though the private ensuite was separated from the room it was clean and ok with us.

Each room has its own private en-suite. Just a short trot down the hallway.
Excellent staff and the crab linguine was amazing. Great pub stay not far off the highway. And great breakfast across the road at the corner store. Will be back.
- Jenny (10/5): Clean, fresh. Amazing food - Absolutely everything. Nothing
- Yelena Brozgol (8/5): - Modern and clean accommodation Private bathroom is not in the room, which was not clear from the description. It is a small thing, but worth mentioning

- Janice (10/5): Lovely stay near the highway - Room is nice, new, cleaned and tidy. Softest bath towel I have ever had in a hotel! Located just off the hwy but not noisy at all. 4min drive to supermarket if you need anything. Good shared kitchen with fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, plates and cutlery. Would be nice to have a microwave. Meals downstairs were delicious, good vibes. There was an event downstairs at the pub, could hear the music in room but didn’t bother us too much.

For a cheap stop over the hotel was okay.. No window in bedroom. Dusty.. We stayed on a Sunday night and this limited eating out venues. We had to drive to Laurieton
- Aidan Vaughan (10/5): - The 'shared bathroom' is actually a private bathroom in a communal area. Each room has a designated bathroom accessed using your room key. Only a short walk from your room.
- Kristina (8/5): -

- Xiao (8/5): Special experience - Heritage building and the local vibe Room without windows is kind of weird
- Debbie (9/5): Very quiet. Clean and tidy, Just needs a few tweaks! - Clean and tidy. Cute bathroom. Stairs need carpet or something similar! Timber noisy when people were coming up and down. Especially early morning and late at night.
Rooms were quite dark!
Also the step down out of the door to go to the bathroom needs something on it to know there is a step.
The tap on the sink in the bathroom needs fixing.
Also nowhere to hang your clothes.
Four pegs don’t suffice.
- Brad (9/5): -
- Shane (8/5): Very positive. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to other travellers looking for a short stay. - Quaint old hotel. Renovated with quality. En-suite a fantastic idea. Meal in the restaurant was lovely as well. Rooms could have a few more hooks to hang clothes as no cupboard would fit into the room.
- Malcolm (10/5): Definitely will be back for another stay maybe longer next time - Great pub atmosphere the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful loved the 1 night stay Couldn’t take alcohol into the room?
- Warren (10/5): - Rooms have been recently renovated, facilities are clean and staff were excellent.

- Robyn (9/5): Would definitely stay again; beautifully appointed hotel and accommodation for weary travellers. - Comfortable bed
Clean bathroom
Excellent amenities
Pub meal was fab We found the room temperature difficult to manage. No window so no fresh air.
- Chris (5/5): way to expensive for what it is a nice pub room without private facilities. - It was Ok , noisy Friday night pub which is understandable. Rooms are not ensuited so when you go to the bathroom middle of the night its outside of your room , you need to have keys to open bathroom and really bright lights.
Just not worth $184 a night at all
- Ruth (7/5): Not bad for a pub stay but expensive - no windows - Location was good and the food in the restaurant. It was clean and well presented The room itself was located in the middle of the building so had no windows. No mirror and the wifi didn’t work. No ensuite
- John (8/5): A good location with good food and bar downstais - A good central location for our travels Air con/ heating in room was very hard to navigate!
Being a cold winter The fireplace in the restruant was broken and had to wear jackets
- Martin (10/5): We will be back again next week for the return drive - The room was clean and attractive and after a longish drive the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our pub dinner, so all in all a very convenient overnight stay The breakfast over at Kew General store was adequate
- Colleen (5/5): Passable - Lovely place Extremely noisy till late night
- David (7/5): Good -
- Maconachie (9/5): Superb - Easy stopover when travelling North. Friendly staff. Rooms neat and tidy. Quiet even with a room overlooking the main road. Nothing
- Danielle (10/5): Service was great 😊 - Service was wonderful and it has been beautifully decorated.. no expense spared!
We will be back
- Louie (9/5): Superb -
- Lesley (8/5): Very good - Beautifully renovated hotel. Bathrooms were spacious and well appointed. Coffee making facilities and fridge were outside of the room. Yes, we had a private ensuite but it was down the hall. Had to leave the room for toilet and shower.
- Compton (7/5): Very comfortable except for the very noisy hotel patrons downstairs. - very good renovation and excellent bathroom Very noisy downstairs in the hotel.
- Yuliana (7/5): Not the best but ok - Room is nice and clean No microwave. First time booked room without fridge/microwave in the room. No drawer to put our clothes as well, very little room,

Beautiful room recently renovated, very tasteful Parking at back of hotel so a little concern for a couple of oldies getting luggage upstairs but would stay again and pack an overnight bag.
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Lyn (9/5): close to highway - location the door knows were very noisy. you could here every guest come and go all night.
- Meghan (7/5): Convenient stop over driving from Sydney to Byron. Clean, comfortable . - Clean room and bathrooms. Comfortable night sleep to break up a long drive. Food was overpriced for what was served.
- Jaroslaw (3/5): Hotel room very small, only a bed and one small table. Bathroom a few meters from the room. -

- Miranda (10/5): WORTH EVERY PENNY - Hidden gem. Beautiful old pub, rooms are all based upstairs (stairs only). Bedrooms clean crisp and lovely decor.
Private bathroom was separate from bedroom but it is fine (hop, skip and a jump). Bathroom clean and shower pressure great.
Went for a couple drinks at the pub below and the bar team were attentive and friendly. We had booked dinner for 4 adults and so glad we did. Royal Kew restaurant is 11/10. Props to the kitchen staff and crew, service and the food 10/10! 🤤 Ordered fish n chips, Lamb shank, curry of the day was amazing, portions large so maybe rethink ordering starters like we did... but the pork strips and chicken wings delicious 🤤 .
I could not fault the royal kew...This was a family road trip from GC to SYD (halfway), passing through. Small town has a big attraction. (Axe).
The locals are super friendly true Australian hospitality at its best.
- Jock (10/5): It would of been perfect if it had a microwave also we had dinner down stairs which was reasonable on cost staff friendl - It was great No microwave in kitchen only dissapointment
