• Inge (10/5): It was welcoming, beautiful, comfortable and clean. - Our host Fraser gave us a warm welcome. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean. The bed was great and the warm bathroomfloor a joy. Breakfast was rich and lovely, what a treat. Good advice was given and also (for the road) as we left. We defenitely will be going back to Baekgaarden! Can't think of anything. It was complete.

The accommodation was very clean, breakfast was a good amount to start your day, especially with home grown and locally sourced products. Our host couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. He recommended very good places to visit. We enjoyed every moment there.

• Sven (10/5): Ein perfektes Erlebnis A perfect experience - Es war ein perfekter Aufenthalt über zwei Tage: das wunderschöne Fachwerkgebäude mit privatem Parkplatz, die Freundlichkeit des Gastgebers, die schöne Einrichtung der beiden Räume und das köstliche Frühstück - im Wohnzimmer serviert - mit Spezialitäten aus der Gegend. Wir bedanken uns und kommen gewiss wieder. It was a perfect two-day stay: the wonderful half-timered building with private parking, the amicable host's friendliness, the beautiful furnishing of the two rooms and a delectable breakfast - served in the living room - with local specialties. Thanks a lot and we shall definitely return. Alles war perfekt und die Umgebung wunderschön. Everything was perfect and the surrounding area lovely.

• Sofie Leth (10/5): Fantastisk oase på Fyn - Fantastisk sted! Vi har haft 3 overnatninger og kan VARMT anbefale denne lille oase på Fyn. Morgenmaden, værten, sengene - ALT var i topklasse. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage hertil.
• José M (10/5): - La casa y su jardín eran una maravilla, lo mismo que la habitación grande y espaciosa, con su salita para desayunar. El dueño extremadamente amable, nos dio además indicaciones muy útiles para visitar la zona. No haber podido quedarnos más tiempo para disfrutar de la estancia ;-) Está un poco alejado (lo cual es también parte de su encanto) pero en una ubicación muy buena para visitar Odense y Faarborg a pocos minutos con el coche.
• Andrew (9/5): Lovely place to stay. - Lovely, well-renovated old house in a big garden with a beck and surrounded by beautiful countriside, with large rooms, comfortable beds, and good facilities. Breakfast was good, and Fraser was very helpful and provided us with lots of information about the area etc. We'd certainly stay here again! The doorways were very low! But actually so low that the lintel was in my eyeline, so no damage was done!

• Joseph (10/5): Exactly what we were looking for - What a lovely and peaceful property in rural Denmark. We were looking for a charming cottage off the beaten path and Baekgaarden B&B did not disappoint. It was situated perfectly for us to day trip to towns like Odense, Svendborg and Faaborg. The host was very welcoming and provided a delicious and very filling breakfast each morning. It was easy to come and go as we wished. The bathroom had radiant heating in the floor which was very welcome on cold mornings. Everything was great! Just watch your head on the short door ways if you're tall. :)
• Daniela (10/5): It was like being in a H C Andersen fairytale! - Breakfast was very good, we were immersed for a couple of days in a typical danish house and landscape, not far from Odense, Egeskov Castle, Faaborg and other places, the owner Fraser is very polite and welcoming, we would have loved to spend more days in this lovely b&b!
• Karen (10/5): Wonderful definitely recommend - Very warm welcome, lovely property. Bonus of not just a bedroom and en suite shower room, but also private sitting/dining area. Plus an extensive garden to sit in. All very tastefully furnished. Lovely breakfast including freshly made rolls. Room was a bit warm, maybe due to heating in bathroom. Location a bit isolated.

• Izel (10/5): Exceptional - The quiet and the serenity. The feeling of getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
• Robert (9/5): The pictures don't do this place justice. - From the photos I was expecting an ancient dusty, cobweb encrusted old house with lots of small guestrooms. Wrong! There are only two rooms and the inside is beautifully renovated and very clean. The gardens are worth a stroll and the creek is very calming as is the daily visit of the Pheasant family. Breakfast is a good mix of Danish and English fare and after breakfast each day we were entertained with a chat with our host who gave us suggestions of places to see on the island and some local history. The WiFi is very fast fibre, the bed is very comfortable and the room is cozy. The bathroom is modern and a good size. Our room also had a desk for our laptop and there is a lot of power outlets in good places. The area is very rural and very easy to drive around with a petrol station 2 km away. It is hard to think of anything that is worth mentioning. I am over 186 cm tall so I did hit my head on a couple of low doors but I am use to that sort of thing in older buildings. A very minor point is that I am very fussy about my morning orange juice and it wasn't really up to my standard (personal choice really). Since we are traveling on a two year quest, we are always in need of washing machines and dryers. It would have been nice to have access to one here but again just a personal choice.
• Robenson (9/5): Superb - Friendly host. Comfy bed and good shower. Breakfast included home made bread rolls and home made applejuice and prepared for my convenience as I am an early starter. Highly recommended.
• Roni (10/5): Definitely a 12 out of a 10 ;) - We had a very very pleasant stay! The room and facilities were sparkling clean and tidy ready for our stay. The interior, furniture and decorative objects were really cozy. The generous breakfast was very tasty and also we had a great opportunity to chat with Fraser regarding recommendations for our trip. We definitely recommend this B&B for a stay in the area, we hope to be back very soon.
