Guest Reviews
- Eryn (8/5): - Bed were extremely comfortable. Lovely set up, great location.
- Arkan (9/5): The house was very nice and the location was great - It was very cosy and perfect for a family or group of 4 More comfortable seating options
- Radhika (7/5): Good -
- Kyle (3/5): Good location but not worth the money - Location Dodgy renovations, broken floor board with lino layed over the top, cieling fans had so much dust it rained down when turned on, milk that was provided for us was 5 months out of date, baby cockroaches in bathroom at night. Overpriced for what is was.
- Peter (10/5): Great little place for a getaway. - Exactly what we needed. Small cottage with everything in it. Great location. TV was a bit hard to use.
- Imogen (9/5): Superb - Loved the cosy cottage. Took the canoe for a paddle on the lake, went for a nice walk around the lakes edge and got takeaway food from the Chinese restaurant in walking distance. Clean, great location, would recommend.
- Robert (7/5): It's nice but overpriced - The furniture is very nice and it is decorated very lovely. The beds are extremely comfy. The food in the kitchen is extremely generous and helpful to the stay. There is more than enough towels and linen. Great touch with books and boardgames. TVs are great with Netflix. There is a kayak you can use and great easy access to the river. The back walking track is really lovely to use. The coffee machine is yum yum. The air con works so well and the ceiling fans in the bedrooms are excellent. The linen is very clean and smells nice. The shower head is amazing! And so nice to have provided body wash, shampoo etc. The cottage mascot Digby is so cute. The shower frame has not been fixed from leaking, contrary to the owners comments on previous reviews. I am a small person and attempted having a shower right in the corner of the shower. The water still leaked out and started pooling outside the shower. Someone is going to slip over one day if it isn't properly fixed. Or the shower just needs to be changed into a normal closed in shower with a door.
The place just needs proper blackout blinds. The blind in the main bedroom does absolutely nothing to keep the room dark so be prepared to be awake when the sun comes up. The curtain in the kitchen looks terrible and needs a blind installed. The back of the property needs all blinds installed for privacy. It is quite unnerving that you feel exposed at night time because the back curtains are sheer, and there isn't a blind at all on the back glass door. There is no back fence on the property so you are then exposed to the back walking track and the public (as apposed to a private backyard).
The bath in the back room is a nice touch, but impractical without proper blinds so you can't use it at night.
I read previous comments about the cleanliness. I found it to be fairly clean... In the back room where the bathtub is I pulled back a curtain to check the window was closed and there was cobwebs all going down the window. It looked like it had been there for months.
The cleaner/owners must have opened windows prior to our arrival for airflow. Considering the age of the property and bugs/spiders, I would have much preferred windows to be kept shut and air conditioning put on to make the place nice and cool when we arrived. We only realised after a few hours that windows were left open so went round closing them all.
I had seen on a previous comment about a cat. This cat did visit us late one night and starting howling. It must be a tom cat on the prowl.
- George (10/5): Keep up the good work 😄 - The location close to the river and the accommodation provide everything for river / water activities kayak, buoy etc The weather not good on that time
- P (3/5): Wouldn't do it again! - If it wasn't for the location it was pretty ordinary. it's being renovated!!!!! Hasn't been cleaned since I don't know when.
Mulberries are a big problem.
Cupboards too high. Had to get a chair to reach crockery.
Pet friendly????? cats everywhere.....excellent for our allergies.
Etc. Etc. Etc.
- Judith (7/5): Good place to stay for a short stay - Divvy cottage was vey comfortable
It had everything that we needed. The key lock is on the floor and is difficult to get down to.
- Samshad (5/5): Amazing location, good for a romantic getaway or a small family holiday. - The location was amazing, close to the lake. Had an awesome time fishing with the family. The entrance was a bit of a squeeze. The bathroom was an issue, water ran out under the door all over towards the toilets. might need to be sealed under the glass bit.
- Craig (10/5): excellent location and property; recommend a stay. - had everything we needed; great location nothing
- Robyn (10/5): Relaxing quiet location. We will stay here again - Great location. Lovely clean cottage with everything we needed.
- Candice (8/5): Very good - Cute little cottage that backs onto lake, enough room for two adults and two kids, comfy beds, cute kids games and things for kids to do in the house, close to beaches. Goodies in fridge such as butter / cheese and ice blocks in freezer nice touch for kids on beach holiday. Thank you! Property needs wine glasses, tea towels, bath mat and hand towels. Also no sharp knife for cutting meat.
Water after shower all over the floor as no shower recess, had to use beach towels as bath mat.
- Janak (4/5): could have been better - location it was very dirty . they should’ve clean prior to guest arrival.
