- MoniqueAU (9/5): Great location and price. - Great location for the wedding estates nearby. Ubers are also accessible in the area, plus supermarkets 10-15 minutes away. Quiet and cozy. Comfy bed. TV connects if you cast e.g. Netflix or YouTube to it. You could probably BYO HDMI cable too.
- Christopher (10/5): convenient location and peaceful setting. Vert comfortable. - The location was very peaceful with a beautiful view over the gully. Roos and birds in the mornings and great sun rises and sunsets. Very close to some great little villages with some great eateries and wineries and still close to the city. Gardens were a little messy but the amazing scenery made up for that. We had to go and buy and ironing board and an iron but other than that it had everything we needed.

- AbuAwad (6/5): It was pretty decent, not what we expected. - The location was perfect, close to town and the state Park.
Great hot water system and the lounge room area was nice Shower was really small, didn't like that the lounge room connected to the main house by a simple door that you could see through the crack into, get a lack of privacy because of it and there where cobwebs all over the roof in all the rooms.
- Bruce (8/5): Lovely warm stay in complete privacy. - It was nice to sit by the wood fired heater. The place kept warm with extra heaters going. There was plenty of space inside and outside to stretch out and relax. Plenty of cupboard spaces everywhere. Bed was solid and really comfortable. It would have been nice to have wood already cut into smaller pieces but I was able to do that myself. The couch needs replacing: it's old and very creaky. Fridge is a little noisy.
- Haylee (8/5): Great little family getaway at a bargain price - Super easy check in, great view, nice and clean, excellent value for money. We really enjoyed playing family board games by the fire - just what we were looking for. The TV remote was really hard to use. We changed the batteries but it still took up to a couple of minutes before we could change the channel or turn down the volume.

- Anonymous (6/5): It was a nice stay but it could have been better: there’s so much space that could be used. - It was easy enough to find and easy enough to get into. The view was stunning in the day time and the living room upstairs was huge! It was noisy. The dogs are left outside in the gated area and they bark as soon as you go outside. I love dogs so I don’t mind but it was jarring and if you weren’t a dog love it was give you a fright. Everytime someone moved upstairs you could hear it from the bedroom which was stir my dog up. There was so much space with hardly any furniture so it made it feel colder than it was. It’s a lovely stay. It’s a shame they don’t put more effort into the furnishings to really make it a perfect stay.
- William (9/5): Overall very pleasant, but listing slightly misleading. - Great location. Great view from upstairs. Quiet, easy to get to and from. Bed was comfortable, place was very clean and well stocked with cooking equipment. Nice and warm despite a cold night. Host allowed us to check in early, giving us ample time to get ready for a wedding we were attending. The listing stating the accomodation as "Entire vacation home" was a bit misleading. Whilst we were staying in a self contained area, it was part of a larger house. Hearing people walking around, taking showers, opening and closing cupboards etc, detracted from the experience.
- Chloe (8/5): Good value and peaceful stay - Peaceful area and is set over looking the bush. Had all the amenities we needed and self check in was easy It was quite cold but the portable heating was okay
Parking available but hard to reverse with two cars in the drive area
- Fatima (10/5): Thanks for the amazing place you got, we’re been thinking to spend our holiday on this kind of scene and we’re glad we f - What I saw is what I get! Love the whole idea of the place and it is actually a perfect view in the forest. Not enough refills of some products inside the property but the owner is very responsive and can able to provide.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dwayne (7/5): Handy place for what we needed as wedding venue was close by - Handy spot . Accomodation lacks maintenance and proper cleaning Heating could have been on prior to arrival and cleanliness . Nothing to light heater and no milk
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - The serenity, price & location.
- Georgia (4/5): We staying here the night of our wedding, it was quite a disappointing stay. - The view outside from the second floor.
Host was nice. We personally could not see the value in money. $180 per night for a house that had a distinct old smell, dirty floors and the skirting having build up of dust and dirt.
The bed was hidden after the staircase and the entire accommodation felt unclean.
The shower was tiny and minimum necessities like toilet paper and clean towels.
The bed was comfy but the smell was off putting. I personally wouldn't stay again due to the price being outrageous for the accommodation quality.
- Carrine (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. The facilities were great
- Annette (6/5): Was ok ! Needs improvement! ! - Very quiet! Bed was fine! Wasn’t sure if we could use pool as it was in another area Wish there was tv in the lower area ! Stairs were very steep and shiny, so easy to fall! Could not get tv to work and no instructions to follow! Gave up and didn’t want to bother owner ! Buy some new towels- horrible hard and scratchy , so thin and old !
- Olivia (2/5): Overpriced basic substandard accommodation - Bed was comfy. Paper thin towels.
Only 2 very flat pillows with no options.
No top sheet just a doona- this is Summer!
Inadequate tea & coffee and sugar AND NO Milk of any sort.
A coffee machine with no coffee at all to use with it!
No oven tray to bake, cook or heat anything up on, nor a pot holder.
No small sharp knife just a huge carving knife! Huge oversized cutlery especially dessert spoons.
Only 1 Teatowel; No hand towel.
Shower gel in provided bottle wasn’t as per label, dangerous substituting when people may suffer from skin allergies.
Fridge was extremely noisy when we arrived but they managed to get out another fridge from their garage.
Upstairs tv area the lounge furniture was uncomfortable.
There is alot of improvements needed to bring this accommodation up to speed.
- Jakita (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (5/5): Ordinary - Great views Decor tired & dated. Bed was comfortable, but creaked every time you moved. Fridge was noisy. Towels thin and scratchy.
Could do with a renovation.
The dogs locked away in a large shed barked continuously
- Geetanjali (6/5): Pleasant - Location was amazing Utensils were not clean and were very few. Only 1 knife.
- Ash (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - - The view was very nice - Towels were old and thin, it would be nice to refresh them.
- Very noisey bed every time we turned.
- Avinda (10/5): Gorgeous mountains views and wildlife - Accomodation: The mountain and forest views were the highlight of our stay. There was plenty of bird and wild life around which was beautiful. The property has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The property hosts are very nice and quick to respond to any issue including safeguarding and handing over a valuable item I had accidental left behind.
What's nearby? The nearest shops were Chirnside shopping centre which had a ALDI. Jumping Creek Reserve is a 2 minute drive from the property and has some nice walking trails. The top floor got very hot during the warmer days and the aircon wasn't that effective. The property wasn't particular sound proof as the holiday home is a sectioned part of the larger residence but other than that it was a lovely home away from home and we had a wonderful break.
- Neil (5/5): Facilities inside were clean and comfortable in general, but detracted by poor presentation. - No condiments supplied. Bath linen poor (small thin towels), lack of extra pillows. Shower alcove tiny. Impossible to find entry door (keys) without contacting host. Interior comfortable and clean but outside area unkempt. Lack of proper entry instructions.
Large shower head in a small shower alcove. Footsteps/noise from hosts residing on floor above.
Untidy surrounds.
- Vikki (9/5): Superb - The peace & pet friendly Not enough fans, no TV downstairs & no washing machine
- Jesse (9/5): Superb - Stayed on a really hot day, aircon was on when we got there. Contacted the host to request a fan and they were accommodating
- Adam (7/5): Clean, great location to potters reception. - The property itself was very clean and ideal for an overnight stay. We were at a wedding at Potters reception so location was great. We didn’t realise it was part of a big house with someone living in it. We may have missed that fact. It had its own entrance but there was a locked door to the main house upstairs.
- Dilrukshi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional - Everything from start to finish , the hosts were amazing and absolutely recommend this place for a break .
- Christina (8/5): This guesthouse is clean, roomy, and warm with a view exhale to. - Located on a beautiful property in rural Victoria, this guesthouse was clean, comfy, warm, and nicely situated. Nothing, it suited our needs perfectly.
- Sarah (7/5): Good -
- Carolyn (7/5): Very relaxing and comfortable. - We loved the view from the deck. The host was very eager to please and to make our stay an enjoyable one. It was a very reasonably priced, comfortable stay. We felt very relaxed staying there. Even though dogs were kept in a fenced area, there were dog kennels on the property, and the dogs would bark when we came out of the house which we didn't love.
- Isabella (2/5): Under-equipped and underwhelming - The mattress is comfortable although the bed frame is very creaky. Not a stand alone one-bedroom house as advertised. It is a section of someone’s house. There are about 7 dogs kept in a pen on the property immediately adjacent to where you stay and they bark everyime you come and go. I love dogs but it became annoying very quickly. The space was significantly under-equipped for a comfortable stay. It was absolutely freezing. The radiator heaters were not enough. We were not allowed to use the central heating after asking. The four (not enough) pieces of wood provided for the fireplace were waterlogged and too large to fit in the fireplace. No matches, lighter, fire starter nor kindling was provided. The extra blanket in the bedroom was warm but covered in hair and dirt. The kitchen had so little plates, cups, cutlery and cooking untensils that my partner and I did about 5 dishwasher loads in a full-size washer to get through two days. What a waste of water. The baking tray does not fit in the oven. Upstairs, the TV is not set-up in a position that you can watch it from the sofa. The sofa is a piece of outdoor furniture that you could sleep one person on if you needed to (a warning as it is not a fold-out bed as implied).
- Colleen (10/5): Exceptional - The views are nice and it was very comfortable
- Pavel (10/5): Exceptional - The property is pretty big, cozy and definitely, DEFINETLY, worth the price. Early morning wake up was accompanied by Kangaroos eating grass, right in sight from the balcony on the second floor. A superb sight!
- Maureen (7/5): Good -
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (10/5): Lovely place to stay, tucked away in a beautiful bush area. Very happy with everything for our stay. - Beautiful views, lovely area.
- Marianne (8/5): Lovely little getaway - I loved the fire, and the place was pretty cozy when the heaters were on as it's been pretty cold. The view was beautiful as there were Kangaroos popping up. I loved the peace and quiet and the views but I think there must be a dog kennels near by so at times I could hear barking, especially when I was drinking my coffee watching the kangaroos.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - The host was extremely helpful and was great to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again
- Huiping (10/5): My kids loved the view at level 2 & commented it is such a cool place to stay in! Great hospitality! - The full equipped kitchen including rice cooker, rare to find in Australia. Toiletries all provided and of good quality, spectacular view at level 2. Host‘s dad can also communicate in Mandain Chinese with me, perfect for Asian Chinese tourist who can speak Mandarain. Good communication about retrieving room keys and wifi password.
Maybe host can consider doing a short video for confirmed guests on the how to drive in and where to park. After driving in, driver needs to keep a look out on right hand side and drive down a small slope on the right hand side, smacked beside a large area for dogs to roam freely around. It was winter so room is a bit colder despite turning on heater to the maximum.
Appreciate the make-shift bed in the living room. The mattress is a bit soft but it is my personal preference for a slightly harder mattress.
- Kate (8/5): Great little apartment, perfect base for a weekend in the Yarra Valley -
- Rhodey (6/5): Lovely view upstairs, but lack of heating made it uncomfortable in winter. - There was no breakfast in price, view was lovely We spent an hour getting the fire going, (only damp wood provided) and once going no hot air or heat was coming out, electric heaters not enough.
As it was wet the drive and parking spot was muddy and made us worry that we would get bogged, so we back in the second time we entered.
Also there was a dog kennel on the property right next to our accommodation, and as the kangaroo's came close in the evening the dog barking was annoying.
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roselyn (8/5): Very good -
- Dyah (9/5): Superb -
- Jade (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa-marie (9/5): Excellent will come again - It was private, well appointed, beautiful views and plenty of heating and bedding. Also fantastic shower, very good directions, friendly staff and good cooking facilities. I found the TV hard to use and there were no instructions. Also very loud dogs which were a bit scary when I arrived in the dark as I could not see that they were fenced in.
- Prasad (8/5): Very good -
- Elke (8/5): Very good - Everything! Nothing
- Min (10/5): Exceptional - Before we arrive , the owner turn on the heater for us ! That’s really appreciated Sofa bed was too soft to sleep
- Ru (10/5): Perfect place for holiday - View Bed so noisy
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Very flexible and accommodating to our needs. Strong and fast communication, making for an easy-going booking/confirmation process.
