Location was a bit far from everything but we booked knowing this. Bit dusty in places. Not cheapest. Bed was quite hard!

• Alice (3/5): Une chambre moche qui donne pas envie d’y revenir. - Je suis contente d’être restée que 2 nuits. Le seul point positif est la literie qui est fantastique ! Et la lumière douce de la lampe de chevet. J’avais besoin de me reposer et de travailler. Mais j’avais besoin aussi de rester dans ma chambre. Vraiment pas le bon deal. L’odeur dans la chambre laissait à désirer à l’arrivée. Et les rideaux à scratch. Je pensais vraiment que j’allais avoir la jolie chambre qu’on montre en photo plus que l’autre. J’aime bien quand l’intérieur est joli et confortable et là c’était pas ça du tout. Vous devriez vraiment mettre deux annonces différentes pour les chambres dans l’autre maison. Et puis le bruit quoi. Entre les locataires du dessus qui mettent la musique à fond, on entend des enfants jouer et hurler à 8h du matin. Voire plus tôt. La fenêtre qui donne sur rien, les vitres très sales. Et la Clim qui marche peu. Je ne reviendrai pas.

• An (6/5): It’s not worth the money - Have to change sandals before go to the room and have to leave the shoes at the shoes rack right at the door

• Rochelle (9/5): - Very friendly staff, receptionist/ owner gave me 50k VND when a different guest accidentally took my shoes. I'm still a little upset because how does somebody take the wrong shoes? Surely when they put their feet in, they felt different(?) Anyway, they were cheap 40k flip flops from the coopmart so I was impressed by her quick-thinking problem solving. The bed was clean and comfy, and the room size was good. The high ceilings made it feel very roomy, and there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. In the room, the bum gun holder had broken so they had improvised a new "holder" ... the drawer handle. Some of the sockets were falling off the walls, and the a/c remote control didn't work. I tried to turn it off at midnight (when I was already in my pajamas) but either the batteries didn't work/ it was the wrong remote control in my room but I had to sleep with my ear plugs because it was noisy.

• Christopher (9/5): Nice little Hotel, great value for money, very close to the city centre, the owners are delightful. - Great little Hotel for the price, clean, comfortable, great shower, good wi-fi and in a good location, close to the city centre. For the money it's excellent, especially the balcony rooms, I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm HCM.
• Teliska (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional value for money. The rooms (individual houses!) are very spacious. The setting is beautiful, right on the sea. This is the nicest part of the island (more quiet, authentic and natural). The team is extremely nice and helpful.

The rooms with the balcony's are especially nice, overlooking a quiet street. The room was very bright and clean, the bed was super comfortable, great power shower, excellent wif-fi. Only a $2 taxi ride to District 1 for shopping and the main tourist attractions. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good, clean comfortable budget Hotel in a good location.

It felt a bit run down. We booked a room with two beds and one of the beds was a fold out narrow bed and the mattress was covered in plastic, which felt uncomfortable.

• Piia (2/5): Not a good stay, especially for solo travellers - Hosts were fine. I just could not have any sleep in there. The room was filthy, in the bathroom there were dark men hair and the shower had electrical water heater in the corner of the shower, with wires running on the wall - it could end very bad. Also, the shower was just a pipe, with no faucet. The bed was SUPER HARD! The "window" was to the wall, so I could not even understand when the daylight came. It is far far from the town. It was my first stay in Vietnam, and even though after 24hrs of travelling, I could not get any sleep in the room, so I just waited the day to start to look for another hotel, which I found for same price in the city center. Maybe my room was just very bad, because I chose it based on reviews, but .. honestly. The worst experience I have had in my life.

• Vit (7/5): Good - Room was clean with private bathroom. Towels, shower gel, shampoo and hair dryer was included. Aircondition was working. There was a table, wardrobe. Bed has good size for europeans. The lock of the main door was broken, after taking a shower there was water in whole bathroom. Bed was a little bit too hard.
• Tyeisha (9/5): Overall great stay, affordable, would stay again if in a pinch or need a break from hostel life - Friendly staff, offered filtered water so I could refill my water bottle, comfy bed, loved being able to watch tv I could just log in to my Netflix. No microwave in the room but the host helped me to warm my food in the kitchen Shower was off and on sometimes cold sometimes hot, there were mosquitos and ants in the room not sure where they were coming from. Didn’t really care about the ants but the mosquito was annoying

The hosts are the nicest, most amiable people and the place is immaculately spotless. Waking up in this place makes you feel refreshed and ready for a new day. I don't normally leave reviews, but I couldn't recommend this hotel more! 6 out of 5 stars :)

• Dan (7/5): Good - Room is new and clean, we have the bike so the location is not a problem for us. A family run business in their own house. You will need to take off your shoes at the lobby before going upstairs. We stayed 4 nights but they cleaned the room ONLY ONE TIME after the second night. They didn't change the towels, we asked and the lady answered that because the towels were clean so no need to change. Really??? The thing they called blanket was just the cover of the blanket, it was too thin, you will not have the feeling of using blanket at all. Check out my photo.
• Xiaolong (10/5): had a good time - the location is pretty good, you could take a motortaxi or bus to the city centre with a very low cost. the owner madam speaks Chinese very well. nothing

Communication was easy, location was good, the rooms were very clean and sometimes the manager asked you if everything is ok, or if you need roomservice. And for us backpackers was the free laundry washing very helpful and nice. We would recommend this place 100%. Thank you Chez Lotus! There was nothing to complain about.

My host Trang was warm, friendly and very helpful. Free bicycles available for guests and my room was large and comfortable. Chez lotus rose is a sanctuary in busy Saigon.
