Guest Reviews
- Penny (8/5): A well priced and good location. Clean and comfortable. - Beautiful garden and good location.
- Colleen (8/5): Cute cottage. - Great location and very clean and quaint. Coffee etc and fresh milk provided. Being on a busy road and a very squeezy carpark (just enough space for the car only - not a driveway as such) we had to go around the block and come back - not a bad thing but just good to be aware of.
- John (7/5): -
- Tracey And Len (2/5): Unpleasant stay-dirty, smelly and in desperate need of attention - The location The house had a strong unpleasant smell. Carpets and mats were stained and filthy. Pillows had yellow stains, the bed linen was thin and cheap. The bed was hard as a rock and the doona was stained. The towels were worn out and not matching. The place is very tired and in desperate need of attention.

- JenCG (10/5): A Magical Place - Josies Cottage is a beautiful old world magical little place within easy walk of Constitution Dock. It has everything we needed including a fully equiped cute kitchen. Lovely gardens, special places to sit in the sun. Thank you for your hospitality. The mattress downstairs is very hard but you know what once we got into it we slept very well.
- Trevor (10/5): Lovely heritage cottage. Spacious and well presented - Everything was great All too short
- Ian (8/5): - Quaint period home with a great location
- Collette S (8/5): -
- Kirsten (8/5): - Location, garden, little extras
- Anthony (8/5): Mainly very good and restfully. - The garden the a mbi a nice the pictures and decorations. No clothes horse Nd inadequate clothesline. Toilet in bathroom very inconvenient for multiple guests. Parking in carport hazardous.
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- Cain (6/5): Rosie's Cottage - Lovely old cottage but the twin bedding are hard and the double downstairs. It's on a very busy noisy road so did not suit us very well. Amazing back yard and history
- Levi (5/5): Noisy but cute - Great location, cute old house.
Very pretty rear garden with privacy. Very noisy bedrooms. Woken by traffic at 4am each day. Sadly, the windows let in ALL the traffic noise.
- Abby (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (10/5): We loved it and would hope to go back someday. Out of centre enough to feel that escape but a 15 minute walk and you are - Amazing, beautifully kept , fantastic garden to lose yourself in. Hard to describe, best to say no way would I rent it out. Far too precious. The picture was my little place for early morning coffee, watch the birds and admire the garden..
- Damon (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (9/5): We had a delightful stay, well equipped kitchen and friendly easy booking with host. - Cute cottage, excellent location, lovely garden. Low stairs required caution.
- Lisa (9/5): Cute and cosy cottage. - Very cute cottage and close to the city. Beds were comfortable. Entry pathway did not have lights, which made it hard to navigate on a cold wet night.
- Deirdre (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location. Everything was in walking distance. Very cute, private cottage that had everything. Host seemed lovely and approachable. Not a biggie, but the bed downstairs was squeaky, and I wished ALL the windows could open as having hot days, I couldn't get the good breezes through the house.
- Peter (1/5): Very poor and old. Not a pleasant experience - The accommodation was very poor.
Beds were terrible,old and smelly
My son didn’t sleep in his bed as the sheets were stained
The towels were very old
No face washers
Bathroom was awful
- Jodie (9/5): Lovely, comfortable stay after finishing the Three Capes Track. - Easy self checkin. Good location. A lot of character in the cottage!
- Dianne (5/5): Local great, beds not so great - The key was in the location sent in a text. No issues. Unfortunately the bedding leaves a little to be desired. My husband is over 6 ft and overhung the bed. Queen sized beds were really needed.
- Lou (9/5): Perfect - Location superb, the house fantastic, will stay again The bed in front room on ground floor requires new mattress and blockout curtains required for two top bedrooms, everything else you could not fault.
- Jo (7/5): Very pleasant stay in your charming old house - Old charm, unique, the garden Draughty in upstairs bedrooms
- O'carroll (8/5): City Charmer - Quaintness
Relaxing and warm
Homely Few, plumbing issues to be addressed.
- Jude (9/5): Superb -
- Tara (8/5): we enjoyed our stay, became a home away from home. - Location, cosy, had the bedrooms and kitchen we wanted, off street parking. The antique feel grew on us and became topics to talk about. Beds were comfy and we were warm. Washing machine, good shower. After a couple of long days of exploring we wanted to relax and watch tv…reception and lounge layout was awkward. WiFi would be good for these evenings.
Kitchen was well equipped except for peeler and oven tray and some out-of-date supplies.
Was unfortunate that there were noisy nightworks for 5 nights of our stay, but this wasn’t a fault of the property.
- Lee (5/5): Managed to bear with the negative points mentioned but will not recommend to friends - Location The decor in the bedrooms which we find weird and felt uneasy such as a pram with dolls in one bedroom and a voodoo bear in another. The stair is a bit steep, not so good for the elderly. The garden is too overgrown and dark at night. No wifi.
- Lisa (8/5): Relaxing stay in a good location - Good location, lovely backyard Rat or something in the roof, maybe a little cluttered
- Deborah (9/5): Central location, hospital host and accommodation with charm. - Location and easy walk to Salamanca market etc. wonderful to have a place to park the car. Quaint and homely accommodation. Plenty of room for four people. Traffic noise and maybe heavier curtains to reduce outside lights would help the sound too.
- Iain (10/5): Exceptional - Close to the city and wedding reception
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (8/5): Fabulous! - The quaint style and charm.
- Eduardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bronny (9/5): Superb - Location, quaint and homely No WiFi or bbq
- Abhijit (10/5): Charming cottage - Excellent location
Charming cottage
Wonderful decor Street noise
- Peter (9/5): Great experience to stay in a building of it's age. - A great restoration of an 1835 Cottage. So many original features. Close to the City Centre on a one wat street. Lovely gardens and off street parking for a medium sized vehicle. Hard to get your vehicle onto the street during peak hours. Wi-Fi wasn't available at the property.
- Anonymous (10/5): Great location and lovely home. Would highly recommend staying here and everything was in the house that you would ever - Very clean and everything was at hand On the Main Street so was a little bit noisy but only really during rush hour
- Jenni (6/5): Such a lovely cottage garden - The location was excellent and the cottage gardens and chill out areas were a highlight. The dog smell throughout was a little unpleasant.
- Eleanor (8/5): We had a very comfortable stay in accommodation that was within walking distance of the city centre. - Having the whole house to ourselves and having off-street parking and access to a garden. Nothing - all was very good.
- Isaac (9/5): Superb -
