Guest Reviews
- Victor (10/5): Nice place to stay - Very close to top attractions. Within 5-20 minutes walk. Bathroom doors did not close and hair dryer did not work.
- Guest (9/5): -
- Mihaela (10/5): -
- ALEJANDRO M. (10/5): - Las vistas a la Acrópolis eran impresionantes
- GABRIEL (10/5): Perfect - La vista desde el balcón
- Paulo Pousinho (6/5): -
- Dávid (10/5): Tiszta és tágas 4 főre elegendő hely, szép kilátás jó éttermek és bárok a közelben. - A szállás elhelyezkedése nagyon jó. Árban is jó. 2 szoba plusz nappali, légkondi, konyha, fürdőszoba, mosógép és 2 wc. Legjobb választás volt első külföldi utazásnak
- Nour El Houda (10/5): Thanks to this accommodation, we had the best times. I would definitely recommend this place to all my colleagues and fr - The property exceeded expectations! The owner was very kind and gave us instructions about where to go around. Nothing, everything was clean, to highest standards
- SanMas (1/5): UNA GRANDE DELUSIONE!!!! - Posizione La casa era veramente sporca
Balcone lercio!!
Piatti erano molto sporchi!
- Iheb (10/5): - The accommodation was in the heart of the city with an amazing view of the Acropolis, clean, cozy, comfortable and close to transportation and supermarkets.
- Мария (9/5): -
- David (10/5): When in Athens . . . - Exceptional location. Unparalleled view of the Acropolis. Close to sites most visitors like to see. No complaints.
- Constantina (10/5): Breath taking views - Fantastic views - best I’ve ever seen in the city Everything was great!
- Richard (4/5): Shabby grimy apartment that is bad - The location was ideal. But that was it, nothing more Where to begin? The sliding bathroom door didn’t work and that was a big problem, the shades covering the windows were gone or fell off their hooks, water always on the floors, no bedding for warmer temps, and on and on. This place has had no love and the photos are VERY DECEPTIVE. I would never stay there ever again.
- Roza (5/5): Wouldn’t choose for the second stay, but still thankful for 2 nights we spent there as we had good time walking in Akrop - The location and roof access with the Acropolis view.
The bed linen, towels, wash rooms are clean. Very old, one of the beds is uncomfortable; requires renovation, pictures of the property do not reflect real situation, meaning on pictures it looks better then it is in reality. There were no chairs and table on the roof top as shown on the pictures.
- Christiana (5/5): Dissapointing missleading place to stay - The view and location
Hot water throughout the day
Netflix on TV
Easy self checkin 1. The property's photo galery is very missleading. We have booked an appartment that we saw renovated design, bathrooms and beautiful view with big teracce with view straight to Acropolis. After booking I found out on arrival that the photos were about two or three different appartments and the teracce was just an abandoned roof top external to the appartments. We ended up in a very different appartment than the one that we thought and if we knew we will have never booked!
2. The bathrooms were not the renovated that we saw in the pictures, they were old, dirty and especially the one with a open shower had a really bad smell we couldn't stand.
3. In the description there was mentioned 2 BATHrooms but we ended up with one bathroom and one half-bath with only toilet and sink.
4. There was only one paper roll per bathroom!! for 4 days!! When we asked for more the host never brought us any.
5. The Kitchen tools were really limited and the coffee machine was very dirty, we couldn't even used it.
6. The appartment did not had heating system, only 2 air-conditions, one in a room and one in the living room. We couldn't stand the cold in there, especially in the one room without any heating and the toilets.
7. The appartment looked like it was never deep cleaned. There was dust everywhere and bad smell in the kitchen and toilets.
8. The mattress was really hard
9. There was too much noise in the streets at the morning, as it is just oposite of Acropolis entrance.
10. No lockers or place to leave our luggages after checkout. Had to take them to a luggage storage and pay extra.
11. There ware no toiletries at all!!! Only a bottle with a gel (showergel?) that was the same with the handgel. Not even bath carpet.
It is really sad because this apartment had incredible potential thanks to its fantastic location and stunning view and could have been an exceptional place to stay but the absence of many essential amenities ruined the whole experience.
- Kirichijian (8/5): Very good -
- Hawar (4/5): Disappointing - the apartment was big enough By the time I arrived the apartment wasn’t clean and the left everything dying
- Vashakidze (10/5): Worth every penny. - Very spacious, well equipped apartment with breathtaking view. It’s right in the center of the city, thus everything is in a walkable distance, never had to use public transportation.
- Annika (9/5): Great apartment with an amazing view over Acropolis - Well equipped, amazing view from living room and balcony. Good size. Comfortable beds. Easy to check in and good information before. A little sloppy built, need some fixing up. But that’s just cosmetic
- Boutayna (7/5): Lovely location. - The location is definitely the top thing about this apartment. Within walking distance to everything and the view of course is great. It's a bit dated but this was not a major issue. I felt the ad was a little misleading. The terrace is a shared terrace and you have to leave the apartment to go two floors up to access the terrace. The hot water stopped working for us on the last night and by the time I got a reply we were leaving the apartment. Definitely could do with a deep clean and the bathroom could do with a refurb. There was no bathtub in this apartment.
- Skye (8/5): That view..... - The view!!! Simply amazing. Great location to everything. Beds were very comfortable Apartment was in the middle of renovations which were poorly done - bathroom had grouting everywhere. Not so clean. As it is on a busy road, it is also quite loud.
- Sam (10/5): Hope we see a again thanks for everything - Perfect central location. Very close to Akropolis and beautiful alley ways There is nothing that I disliked
- Liliana (5/5): If your priority is location and view then this is it! - I am not sure if better location right next to the entrance to the Acropolis area exists. The view is SPECTACULAR!! You will hear the gorgeous opera compositions coming from Acropolis right from your room till 12am. The building has a very small but working elevator which is a huge plus. Apartment has two rooms and one of them is away from the main street where you can sleep since it’s way quieter and you are a sensitive sleeper. The building is old. The apartment is old too. You will hear every step you make on the wooden floor which is not a big deal unless your expectations are different.
- Pasquale (5/5): The accommodation certainly did not add to our otherwise lovely visit to Athens. - Only the location, and the views to the acropolis It was rather grubby. but most disturbing was the excessive mould on the bottom of the shower curtain. One person has a respiratory problem and chose not to shower, which wasn’t comfortable given the warm conditions in Athens.
One double bed was firm, the other was like sleeping on in a wooden door .. very uncomfortable and made for a broken night sleep.
There was access to a roof top area, it had broken flooring everywhere, crumbling rubble and nowhere to sit.
- Peter (2/5): I've stayed in many appartments in Athens on business as this time. This was by far the worst ever - There was nothing to like. The good photos are from the apartment upstairs. I can only assume that is in better condition than this one. The appartment was grubby, very little cutlery, Lights not working, bathroom sink not draining away, Freezer door would not shut because of build up of ice, Chopping board was very old, dirty and falling apart.
Shower was 2 feet of the floor and the holder was broken. It said it had Netflix but you have to use your own account. The AC was good but on a timer so needed resetting every 6 hours which meant you wake up hot. The roof terrace is definetly not as in the photo. It's messy and run down, chairs were torn and not a pleasant place to sit.
- Yuchia (1/5): Laundry machine don’t work at all , cleanness has lots of room for improvement, internet disconnects all the time … the - The view The equipment
- Tomasz (9/5): Superb - The view was breathtaking Bathroom could be better
- Mingare (10/5): Exceptional - Right in the heart of Athens ,
Everything is walking distance.
It has an unbelievable view of the acropolis.
The apartment is the entire floor and it very large. One toilet didn’t work very well
The shower didn’t have a shower head it was just a hand held one.didnt bother me to much
- Zach (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- Heidi (4/5): Great location. That’s about it. Bathroom not great. Beds not comfortable. - Didn’t hear from owner until last minute and was worried I wouldn’t be able to get in when I arrived after midnight.
- Mccray (9/5): Superb - Perfect location It is an older home, if that doesn't matter then it's perfect.
- Jamshed (5/5): Overall not a well managed apartment - Location was excellent. View of the acropolis was great No standing shower, only handheld. Washing machine container had mold. Flushes did not work easily. Top of one flush was lose and they other we had to fix. Mattress was very hard. None of the comforters had cover on them.
- Kristina (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (9/5): Good value in a perfect location. - Excellent location.
Very clean and tidy Need more cutlery and crockery.
Needed to buy a bottle opener
- Javier (7/5): Great view, but a let down. - Booked the place for the view. It is the best thing about it. Off season, it was affordable. The location is across from the Acropolis entrance. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable. At booking, I wasn't sure which of the apartments in the building I'd be getting as the photos are presented altogether without distinction. While the apartment I got was fine, I honestly thought I had booked a different one. This does create a disappointment. And there was a great shot of a roof top terrace; I still don't know if I had access to it.
Specific to Apartment 1: the full bathroom needs attention. There is mildew in the bath tiles and ceiling over the shower. The shower head should have an overhead mount. It is otherwise difficult to bathe while holding the shower hose in hand. The kitchen was fine but lacked essentials. Knives, yes, but no cutting board. Please provide coffee filters for the coffee maker; I had to buy my own. If there was an array of teas provided, then some coffee should be maintained as a courtesy aswell.
- Natallia (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (8/5): Best view in Athens - Good instructions from the property manager. We rented the Loft and arrived at night; the Acropolis view was just amazing, probably one of the best in the city. Location is excellent, quick walk to Acropolis and tourist sites close by, close to many great restaurants and shops. Monistiraki and Plaka 15 min walk. View is even better from the rooftop. Kitchen well-equipped though no salt. We appreciated the coffee capsules though there were not enough for our 2 night stay. The one bedroom with the Acropolis view didn't have working curtains, they were permanently lowered. Yet they let in lots of bright sunlight early in the AM when the sun's angle shines light right onto the bed (in May). Street noise is quite loud. Maybe an outdoor metal shutter would help both those problems.
- Steve (10/5): Great location and amazing views - day and night - of the Parthenon. - Great location. Nothing. All good.
- Ella (8/5): Amazing view ! Beautiful apartment. - Beautiful apartment. Amazing view and great location. Comfortable beds. The balcony is not safe for children (it doesnt lock). Low railing on the balcony. The elevator is extremely small. Fits about 2 suitcases. Couldn't fit a Stroller with an adult in the elevator. So each time had to send the stroller separately.
- Pauline (8/5): Incredible view, could be cleaner. - Location is incredible as is the view. Nice open floor plan with lots of room. Easy to wash clothes and hang dry here as well as make meals. Could be a little cleaner. Just a deep clean would really spruce this place up. The mold in shower is a bit off putting, a clean or new shower curtain might help with this matter. Needs some extra cutlery to accommodate the people in our group as well.
- Christina (10/5): Perfect for me... - You CANNOT BEAT the location!! The balcony from the apartment was perfect for coffee in the mornings, but I loved taking an afternoon plate and glass of wine up to the roof terrace after spending 7 to 8 glorious hours exploring Athens. The host was very good with communicating, especially when I was having issues with my cellphone at the airport when I first landed. He had great recommendations as to the area.
I was tired when I got off the plane. It had been a long couple of flights from Portland, OR. But once I got to the apartment, and got a.much needed shower, I ended up leaving the apartment at 10:45pm and walking through the nearby parks. I felt completely safe and was up on Hill of the Muses at midnight looking over an amazing view of Athens and the Acropolis. It was an amazing start to my adventure in Greece. This location is close to everything I wanted to see in central Athens. I highly recommend it!! The apartment was definitely comfortable, but I can tell it needs some very minor touch-ups. There's a bit of paint peeling from the ceiling in the first bedroom. But it's not something to complain about. I would, and hopefully will, come back to Athens again and only want to stay here.
- Secil (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (9/5): we would like to come again :-) - Killer view !! wonderful !! The deep cleaning could be better. But overall it was ok.
- Jayne (9/5): Best view in town - Fabulous view and livation Nothing to dislike
- Edwin (9/5): Superb -
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ilias (5/5): Acropolis is watching over an old apartment - Basically you live with the great Acropolis and Parthenon looking at you 24/7 . Closely..Other than that it is actually in the center of all the sight seens you need to go by foot as a tourist. Plaka ,Ancient Roman market ,Thision ,Monastiraki etc. We are talking about a 2 floor '50s 60s apartment not fully renovated. Heating is on Aircon only and believe me you are still feeling cold in there (winter) .There were no blankets and they couldn't provide any so I had to use the second mattress too. I had the 1st floor and the road sounds (busses, people) were very loud in all the rooms . Hydraulics make boat sounds and the whole electric fuses system is rather strange . There is no private parking and you will have to look for a free spot around the streets (about 3 or 4 rounds looking) . I am not very sure of the security of the apartment also .Better take some precautions with valuable staff
- Marie (6/5): Great stay, only spoilt by bed cleanliness and poorly equipped kitchen - The location is fantastic! the view from the balcony is great and it is easy to go everywhere In exchange for the great view, you have to deal with a VERY noisy road as this is where all buses to the Acropole drop off people all day long.
The cleanliness was not great with the worse thing being the duvets and pillows which had obviously not been cleaned for a long time!
Kitchen equipment very scarce.. 4 plates, 4 different glasses and 2 coffee cups for a large 2 bedroom apartment...
- Karen (4/5): Never again - Location The fridge stunk of fish, never received a code for collection of keys and had to stay elsewhere as we were unable to contact anyone by phone or email, beds were terrible.
- Christopher (10/5): Repeat customer to these great apartments - Our 2nd stay at Holodek Apartments. Terrific location and great apartments. Recommend
- Hadas (8/5): Spacious and clean. Great location close to everything. Great host.Beautiful view of the acrópolis -
- Donald (9/5): Superb - The view was outstanding. No comparison especially on shared rooftop. Checking in smooth. Beds comfy. Balcony view off room too was great. Cleanliness was not up to Greek standards. We had to do some washing of floors and dusting. Shower and under kitchen sink moldly.
- Roshan (10/5): Exceptional -
- José (5/5): Passable - The view from the apartment is stunnig. You seriously couldn't ask for a better view of the ruins unless you went up the hill. Not very clean. Bad pillows and just a single sheet for each double bed. Overpriced. The apartment has so much possibilities to be an amazing place.
- Hannah (9/5): Superb - Upon arrival, we found that the toilets in one of the bathrooms had a puddle of water under it, and did throughout the weekend, maybe it was leaking. But the overall stay was extraordinary, and the view was absolutely perfect! Would stay here again!
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - I like the view and the location Is not clean
- Paulette (8/5): Great place! - We enjoyed our stay. The location to the ruins and tours and shopping was perfect!
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Herandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alicia (5/5): You’re paying an extortionate amount for the views. Both flats are substandard. - The view is amazing and the location is right opposite the monument. Only 3* for that 0* for the two apartments. We rented both apartments. When we arrived, the only good thing was the views to the acropolis.
The 1st apartment smells musky and has no wardrobes available. They’re used to store clothes that smell like the flat. The brown sofa makes your clothes smell after two minutes on it.
The air conditioning didn’t work on the 1st floor and the on on the 2nd floor didn’t cool enough and was noisy.
The terrace is not tilted and the cement is coming off. It only has two chairs so, you can’t serve an evening meal up on the roof terrace while you enjoy the view. Really disappointing became we paid a fortune for this property that sells you “a roof terrace”.
I had to throw raw bleach at the bathrooms before showering. Especially the 2nd floor apartment’s only shower room where feet have to stand on cracked concrete which had blackened dirt deposits from previous guests.
Beware of the extortionate amount of money they’re paying for such poor living conditions. You’re paying for the view so, book a day and go to another place.
- Tommy (10/5): Quite apartment with epic views! - The view from the apartment was epic. You seriously couldn't ask for a better view of the ruins unless you went up the hill. Nothing really
- Rachel (8/5): Very good - Fantastic location and plenty of room for a family of 4
- Panorea (4/5): Disappointing -
- Hayden (9/5): overall great location and beautiful spacious apartment. we truly enjoyed the view. - perfect location. excellent view. spacious.
had an elevator to get the suitcases upstairs. 2nd bedroom could have had an air conditioner. there was a fan, but due to hot days, it was a bit warm in there.
also there was no pillowcase for spare pillow, so we did could not use it.
- Joseph (9/5): Epic View - The location is absolutely perfect. We sat either in the living room or on the roof consistently. The view from the apartment is better than visiting the Acropolis! The place was large and the building was quiet. The AC doesn’t get super cold but it kept the place at a decent temperature. We loved that there weren’t buildings across the street and it was just nature! The beds and pillows were comfortable. Did I mention that the location was great?! The hot water situation wasn’t ideal, even when it’s turned on there isn’t much hot water. The shower was just okay, it definitely needs a new curtain as it’s discolored and doesn’t really cover the shower fully. The Wi-Fi barely worked which was the most inconvenient part. Nowhere to store bags for a few hours after checkout.
- Jason (9/5): Great apartment, Perfect location, Amazing view - The view of the Acropolis was amazing, especially when it is lit up at night. Also close enough to hear when they play music, but far enough away to not be too loud. The apartment was very clean and had all required amenities. The only downside was no A/C in the 2nd bedroom.
- Daniel (10/5): Great view! The stay is very satisfactory. -
- Memory27 (8/5): Acropolis view and location! - The location near the Acropolis can not be beat. The apartment was clean and the view from the rooftop is great! The air-conditioning times out after about 7 hours or so. This isn't a problem during the day but having to get up to turn it back on while sleeping isn't ideal.
- Lisa (10/5): Extraordinary views and location - The view is insanely beautiful! You can see the Acropolis from nearly window. We sat out on the balconies at night and gazed at the lit up Acropolis, and had a drink on the rooftop terrace on our last night! The location is fantastic too. We walked easily to all the major historical sites, souvenir shopping in Plaka, and a million and one great restaurants. There's a small bakery/cafe/coffee shop just 2 doors down from the building, which made for easy breakfasts. The host/management company offered to arrange airport transfers for us, and even did a quick facetime when we couldn't figure out how to open the window blinds. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We rented both apartments, and both were great. That said, the upstairs apartment has obviously been renovated and decorated more recently than the downstairs one. If you're only renting one, I'd go for the upstairs unit. Also, the rooftop terrace is phenomenal, but there is NO SHADE. None. A few chairs and umbrellas would make a huge difference. As it is, there's no way to use it during the day. The sun is just too strong. We were limited to going up in the evening, close to sunset.
- Carmela (9/5): Superb - Location and view
- Logi (10/5): Exceptional - The view was breath taking. Perfect location. Price was unbelievable for the location. Apt huge. Clean. Had everything you needed. Passing on the listing to everyone that I know that will be traveling to Athens Nothing
- Y (7/5): Good - Probably the best view for Acropolis and the slope in Athens. Also in most green area in Athens. The location of this property is unbeatable. Not very clean
- Rima (9/5): Almost perfect - Location, spacious and the utilities (washer, microwave, toaster AC).
Communication with host was clear and on time.
Generally clean. A bit of things around could use an upgrade
For example the bathroom doesn't have a shower head, instead I would need to hold a movable shower head ( cant enjoy taking a shower).
It's true the apartment can get noisy because it's really close to touristic sites , but it does come with the excellent location. It's only quite late night and early morning.
- Jannis (10/5): Exceptional - I highly recommend this apartment in the heart of Athens. It's safe, clean, spacious, and perfect for families. The location is ideal for exploring the city's top attractions. The hosts are welcoming, and the helpline is easily accessible with friendly staff. A truly fantastic experience Nothing that we didn't like!
- Tracey (6/5): I enjoyed our stay at Holodeck, it was in the perfect location to visit the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. The street h - The property was lovely and clean, all appliances were provided.
It was great to have a lift to the second floor with luggage.
The apartment was in a very good location, perfect to walk to the Acropolis with the most amazing view of 🏛️the Parthenon. The beds were only made with a bottom sheet, top sheet left on top of the bed. Bed one had an extra queen sheet, whereas the second bed only came with a single sheet. I tried to contact the agent 3 times to get a replacement, with no reply. Hard for any follow up communication.
- Miller (7/5): enjoyed the view and location . - Loved the view! amazing! not to be petty ... but the beds are so so hard . I emailed a request for a pack and play and never heard back . I also asked for pick up to and from the airport . The description said they could provide it , again never heard back .
- Hugh (8/5): Very good -
- Avihu (6/5): Regular apartment with nive view but not much more - The view from the living room window. We tried to contact the landlord and haven't got an answer until now.
The location is a bit far from the center (15 minutes wakk).
The apartment is regular. No sorts of spoiling of any kind.
- Beth (9/5): Perfectly located with a captivating view of the Acropolis. - The view is spectacular, day and night. It is conveniently located within walking distance of several lovely neighborhoods, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We were easily able to walk to the Acropolis, as well as to the many historical sites in surrounding neighborhoods. It is a 45 minute ride from the airport, but the view is well worth it! We did not realize that the hot water needed to be reset after a couple of showers. The stairway is not well-lit, although you could turn on a light outside the apartment door from the outside.
- Tracy (9/5): Great location with a beautiful view. close to metro, restaurants and shopping - Great location, amazing view!
- Philip (8/5): A huge two bedroom apartment with views to die for! - A huge two bedroom apartment with views to die for! Older place but with lots of character. Host was attentive and a good communicator. Seamless self check in process. Fast WiFi. Well appointed kitchen. Huge balcony spanning both bedroom and the lounge overlooking the Akropolis! Being right on the main road with constant tour buses and taxis roaring past became very annoying. Also late night noise (for us oldies) with shop keepers below us chatting to each other and music.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible view and great location! we had a very pleasant stay.
- Diana (9/5): Stunning Acropolis view at an affordable price - Amazing view to the Acropolis, litterally just across the street from it, spacious flat.
- Kazuchika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tobias (4/5): Disappointing - Location Apartment owner needs to fix bedroom doors (which stuck in the frames) and to remove the noises from the pipes when using the sanitary appliances (a qualified plumber is needed).
- Martin (9/5): Superb - Location was superb with a fantastic view of the Parthenon from balcony and from living space. Apartment very comfortable with good space. Kitchen was nice but shortage of pans/kettle. Could not find a rack to dry some cloths.
- Marcell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): We absolutely loved our stay here, the view from our balcony was amazing! - The view was incredible!!! Location to shops and restaurants was very convenient!! Did I mention the view???
- Gabriela (9/5): Superb -
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (9/5): Wonderful view. Location is near all Athens main attractions. Had a great stay with my family. -
- Marlena (9/5): Will return! - The view! 😮 The location was great for the metro, the code at the shop downstairs was great too. It was a little annoying not being able to get comfortable in the apartment right away, since the cleaning lady was there when we got there. But other than that, awesome!
- Vlastimir (9/5): Superb -
- Manish (4/5): Disappointing - View Photos are deceiving.
Doors creaks and so does Floor
Beds not comfortable
Air conditions shuts in interval so you have to keep switching it on.
Not worth your money but for view, you are paying for view and not apartment.
In need of mordenisation.
- Lucy (7/5): The perfect location and moderate facilities. - the location was incredible! Right next to Thissio and Acropolis! the bathroom was poor. there was always an odd smell (we assumed it was from the drains) in the bathrooms.
