- Arnar (9/5): A rural place run by kind people that are willing to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. - We were hiking the Camino de Madrid. We had a problem finding a place to stay, after leaving Segovia. Everything was booked in Santa Maria la Real de Nieva. Few kms further we found this place and noticed a rather low score on booking.com. After hiking 38 kms we were really exhausted. When we arrived the host was very kind and welcoming. We had asked in advance if we could buy dinner and drinks and she offered to cook us a dinner that waited for us. The dinner was fantastic, and they also had delicious organic white wine. The next day we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with our hosts, and afterward they showed us their many projects on their property. They grow various vegetables and follow permaculture principles. This is a rural area and the conditions should be evaluated with that in mind. Some dogs were loud in the night. We mentioned that and it should not be a problem in the future.
