• LillaRhys (10/5): Relaxing! midway from Maastricht to Brussels. 50 mins to Antwerp, 15 minutes to Berg, Kampenhout - (Booked second night separately so 2nd review) Excellent! Would love to stay again if ever back this way. Travelling on to Brussels alone after a group visit to the Netherlands American cemetery in Margraten near Maastricht, where over 8000 US servicemembers rest. The local families there sign up to visit the graves and bring flowers. Very moving experience, nice small Visitor Center, worth a visit. B& Schaliendak is midway between the very interesting and walkable town of Maastricht, and Brussels airport. Near Leuven. 15 minutes from the charming very small town of Berg, Kampenhout with the endearing Museum of Witloof, a modern, small exhibit documenting the traditional cultivation of this endangered specialty vegetable, the true Belgian ground-grown white-leaf endive, and a monument to the tragic 1961 plane crash of Sabena 548 which took over 70 lives including the entire US Figure Skating team and delegation on their way to the World Championships in Prague that year. Fwiw a taxi ride from Maastricht to Schaliendak was 160 Euros ty Tom at Taxi TTS Maastricht who underbid Uber, and Uber from Schaliendak to Antwerp Central train station (unbelievable station!) was 82 Euros ty Muhammed F. both excellent drivers. Easy train to Schiphol Airport from the huge Antwerp station with its shopping mall, plus trains to everywhere else. Totally worth the detour
• L (10/5): Excellent break in busy trip! Lovely room, terrific breakfast, coffee machine & tiny fridge in room - Peaceful haven, comfortable bed, great bathroom, super nice breakfast. Birdsong and greenery, spacious room, good wifi. Loved it! Room #1 had a separate sitting area, skylight over bed with excellent blackout blind adjustable by remote. Sitting area looked over expansive fields. Easy to find location on a road with very little traffic. NOTE: Mondays the excellent and closest local restaurant, The Loft, is closed. No shops in walking distance. Uber worked fine

• Tamara (10/5): Geweldig - De kamers waren erg ruim, netjes en van alles voorzien. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte was erg ruim, leuke plekjes om te zitten. Maar wat vooral opvalt is het onthaal van de eigenaresse. Vriendelijk en vrolijk. Staat klaar voor een gesprek als je daar zin in hebt. Bij vragen schiet ze meteen te hulp. Maar wat wij zeker niet meer gaan vergeten is het ontbijt. Oh man, wat was dat een cadeau. Het was royaal en te lekker. Wij komen zeker terug.

• Poul (10/5): Awesome place- awesome host - awesome breakfast. - This B&B is just awesome. You feel right away when you stay with a landlord/host who love his/her work. Here we were greeted as coming to a cosy well equipped B&B as we were family. The service exceeded any expectation. The breakfast was superb and super selection of local cheeses and jam - bacon & eggs you name it. I travel to Brussels every year - this is my new home. I liked everything, but its works best if you have a car as the B&B is on a beautiful farm in the country area.

Vielleicht etwas einsam gelegen, aber das weiß man, wenn man diese Unterkunft bucht. Nichts, alles top.
• Jan Rietveld (10/5): Fantastische B&B. - Zeer nette en grote kamer op 1ste verdieping (geen lift, maar makkelijke trap). Parkeerplaats op eigen terrein. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. Eigenaresse zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Eigenlijk niets.

Christine is a wonderful hostess and thought of everything. She was friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond with the delicious breakfast! We would have loved to stay longer. Nothing

The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with every facility provided. The breakfast selection could only be described as exceptional. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area and would recommend this property without hesitation. Absolutely nothing!
• Martin (10/5): A beautiful location, I'll be back! - The breakfast was sumptuous - everything you could expect for breakfast was available, and fit for a king! USB charging points would have been handy, most people these days have equipment that need charging by USB lead. The location was close to the flightpath to Brussels airport - I was quite aware of this when I booked, and for me it wasn't a problem, but some might not like it.
