Guest Reviews
- Jenna (1/5): -
- Ian (7/5): Fine for a night if you're passing through. - The rooms are pretty cramped here. The six-bed rooms were probably better suited for four beds. It was warm at night, and people seemed to be coming and going at all hours. The first room I was in, the bed actually broke around the edge, so they moved me to a different room. Lots of bathrooms, and good hot water. General facilities were ok, but kitchen was pretty dirty.
- Stefan (10/5): - Staff were super helpful

- Vaidas (8/5): - Stayed only overnight before catching next bus. Good for that. Had everything needed. Drop the keys in the box when check out, but first unlock the outside door with them to exit
- Lkl (7/5): Decent value for money - The staff were very friendly. It’s nice to have an outside space to sit in. There are enough bathrooms. My room was southwest facing and was incredibly hot. One tiny fan. A chair would be nice. And a lamp would be nice. Bathrooms are so so.

- Membreño (3/5): - Ubicación La cama incomoda muy dura
- Emma (5/5): Average. Good for a cheap, transit night. - Easy location by bus stop. Shared kitchen to use. Booked a private room but got a bunk room for my partner and I. Very hot in the rooms even with 3 loud fans.

- Christopher (10/5): Gem right next to the heart of Liberia - Super friendly staff. They watched over my luggage for a few days so I gave a small tip in appreciation. Windows that fully close would be nice! But having fans in the room to blow away mosquitos worked just fine.
- Powerserg (10/5): Exceptional - A clean place lovely patio staff
Super helpful and friendly
- Ofer (6/5): Pleasant - Close to bus station and cheap Charged 10% more than booking. Feel unpleasant somehow.
- Genro (9/5): A quiet and charming house for chilling during the day - I loved this little hostel! As most people arrive at night and leave in the morning, you get the whole house to yourself during the day. The staff is charming, plus there's a kitty for company! Warning for solo travelers: don't book the dorm bed. Dorms are just simple rooms with two bunk beds crammed into it. You might end up sleeping in close proximity with some dude that snores like a freight train in a tiny room with no air flow (and no AC). Instead, book the single room if you can, which is in the best part of the house at almost the same cost. Liberia is also a cute town that will make you want to stay longer than planned... Mosquitos are the real problem as there are no solutions but to cover your whole body under the blanket.
- Gauthier (8/5): Very good -
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -

- Martin (9/5): Superb - The hostel is a large house with nice kitchen. Good coffee machines in the morning
- Tanya (9/5): I keep returning here! - My third stay: this is my little home from home in Liberia now! The staff are sweet: the place spotless, I've stayed in private and dorm rooms. There's good WIFI, a kitchen with everything you might need in it and plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces and bathrooms...and the price is perfect! Really happy
- Denis (2/5): Very poor - The girl at the front desk was ok The room was bad ( no space, bad light, dirty), the whole night we could hear loud noise from the roof. Couldn't sleep at all.
- Kim (6/5): It was okay but you can find better options - The location was walking distance to places in town, the bathroom was near the room and good condition, they had shampoo in there too. The kitchen was okay. They looked after my bag for a few hours until I left for a new hostel because I didn’t want to book another night here. The outdoor area was really ugly to look at, didn’t feel very clean being out there, and the chairs were kind of gross.
The kitchen alright but someone ate my takeaways I left in the fridge so wasn’t happy to find out I had no dinner for the night. And I was not going to go for a walk at 10pm at night alone.
The staff didn’t speak anytime of English so don’t bother to try help you or want to speak to you. Room was super hot on the top floor but that’s understandable
- Gabriele (8/5): Totally recommend it! - Stayed only for one night cause I arrived in the evening. Staff was super nice and helpful. Hostel had everything you needed. Totally recommend it.
- Angelique (7/5): Good -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Chao-yen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennyfromtheisland (8/5): Quiet stopover place - Perfect little place to spend a night or two if you're flying into or from Liberia airport. It's on a quiet street, the single room was comfortable and the shared bathroom was clean. There is no AC but the fan was strong and the kitchen is well equipped. It takes about 25 mins from the airport by taxi and it's only 15 mins away on foot from the shuttle pickup point towards Nicaragua and other destinations. Also, the bus terminal is close by. There is a Maxi Pali supermarket at 5 mins from the hotel and several local and fast food restaurants around where you can grab a bite.
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional - Very close to the bus stations. We loved the space. There is a backyard with couches and hammocks. Big kitchen with everything you need for cooking. We could not figure out if there is hot water in the shower, but only stayed one night, so it was not a problem.
- Teresa (10/5): Comfortable, quaint and convenient with a friendly staff. - Belkis was exceptionally helpful and friendly. My little room had a comfy bed and two fans, right next to a shared bathroom (one of four bathrooms). The little house is quaintly decorated and the outdoor space, dining room and kitchen are all lovely. Very relaxed place in a great location, close to the bus station and a 20 minute taxi to the airport.
- Enric (7/5): Good -
- Tanya (10/5): Best budget choice in Liberia - Love this place! Have stayed twice, once in a single room and once in a dorm. I will make this my go-to in Liberia. Clean, friendly, spacious, well-equipped kitchen, lots of bathrooms, big covered outside space...this ticks all my boxes! Thank again for my stay, I will return! Totally happy with all
- Alexandru (8/5): Very good -
- Brett (8/5): Good stay on the way to other places - Close to bus station Mercado an d supermarket 1 km walk to main square BOC atm no fees in Costs Rica
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - I have already booked to stay again! This Hostel has been lovingly decorated and is well-kept, with kind staff and lots of communal space both indoors and out. Very close to the bus station, good WIFI, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of bathrooms...this was super value and I think the photos do not do full justice : ) Perfect
- Moussa (9/5): Great - The front staff was great. The beds were noisy.
- Robert (1/5): sucked - nothing an outlet for devices would be nice
- Laura (4/5): Would not recommend!! - Closeness to bus The accommodations were disappointing. The place was unclean, with dirty washrooms and a dusty room. We were given a room resembling a shed, with flimsy cardboard walls that offered no soundproofing—we could hear everything. The receptionist was unfriendly and provided no explanations, simply handing us the keys without any further assistance. Considering the high cost for such poor quality, we will not be returning.
- Stepanka (8/5): Very good - Excellent location. Very close to bus terminals. Friendly staff. Facilities are basic, but great value for what it costs.
- Laurel (9/5): Good location, good value - 3 short blocks from the gas station. Simple, accommodation, good value. Fan, no air conditioning. Allowed luggage storage and to stay longer in the common area. Quite close to eating and town. It was inexpensive….good for the price.
- Marco (8/5): Very good -
- Sara-jane (6/5): Good location but too expensive for what you get and not overly clean - It was in a good location within walking distance of many shops. Good for one night. One of the staff members was lovely. Good secure gates on the property. The room was quite dirty - the walls had stains everywhere and there were bugs on the bed and in through the room as the window had been left open with the light on before we had even checked in. We also tried to pay around $40 with a $100 note but it was not accepted and the ATM is about the 10 minute walk away so just be aware of having smaller change. The shower in the bathroom never turned off. The room was really tiny so wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than one night. The fan is also incredibly incredibly loud. You need a key in order to open the gate to get out of the building so be aware of this and know where your key is should there be a fire. You have to pay to hire the towels. Overall it definitely a lot more expensive than we would have thought for what we got.
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jose (9/5): Superb -
- Ngan (8/5): Horacio and staff were really nice - Fans, equipped bathroom and kitchen, sealed for security Backyard condition
- Olivier (9/5): Superb - Very sympathic guest. The room was small but clean. Well situated
- Jody (8/5): Good for what we needed - Pretty nice stay, nice common areas and good room. Staff was SUPER helpful which I appreciate, despite not knowing much English she was patient with me and considerate.
We just stayed one night before crossing the border the next day, so it fit our needs well. No A/C but it wasn’t too bad with the fan on. Only downside is the fan is very loud. So after a while I wanted it turned off just so I could have some peace and quiet. But otherwise we kept it on constantly as it was quite hot. But when it’s on it’s fine temperature wise.
- Saša (9/5): Superb -
- Fenja (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly owner! Thank you for everything.
- Vladimir (7/5): Good - Comfortable stay. The bathrooms are shared with other guests, but since there were not many people when we stayed, we had them to ourselves. It was very windy that night and the noise from the roof was very loud and even scary at times.
