Margaret (1/5): I didn't feel comfortable being called many times and the mention again about his dog - The gentleman called me many times while still at home. He had a foreign accent and was babbling on about someone taking care of his dog and wanted a precise time of arrival!! Which I could not provide!! Wasn't happy about repeated calls from him, Bad start!!! Driving from eastern Quebec to his property on the day of our arrival, we found it impossible to find his property. We had no GPS signal in among the hills and backwoods. Drove around for hours trying to find it. Out of sheer frustration, I felt no option but to call him and cancel, He tried to argue with me but I had had it by that time. So, feeling badly deceived, we left the area. The gentleman had no sympathy for our plight but proceeded to tell me (again without a proper understanding due to his accent) that he would have to charge me. At that point I was done with him and just wanted to get back to civilization and out of the woods where we had no signal and were besieged by flies. It was not a pleasant journey trying to find him and a whole lot of disappointment. No, I would never bother to ever book there again. All of the above!

Senja (9/5): Quiet b&b that’s bird approved, in Cantley close to Ottawa - Fernando and Lina are veteran hosts and make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. They were able to accommodate an early check in. The Colombian breakfast was excellent and Lina had beautiful art that she had made around the home to enjoy. The downstairs fireplace area was filled with charm and the shared bathroom was very clean. Fernando has a smile and story that can entertain for hours! Everyone has different mattress preferences and I do prefer a softer one, but this room would be a hit for people who prefer firmer mattresses.

The house is decorated with his family’s art and it’s beautiful and unique. Fernando even taught us a few Spanish words. The breakfast was delicioso. This bed and breakfast was the perfect getaway after a long drive and we highly recommend it. Muchas gracias.
