Guest Reviews
- Carla (9/5): Superb -
- Long (8/5): Amazing house right in the middle of the forest - Incredible location right in the middle of the jungle surrounded by amazing views and so much nature, which we loved. Marius is such a helpful and responsive host and even left us free range eggs for our arrival. The kitchen is probably one of the best rental kitchens I've ever had with so many utensils, blender, pots and pans, actually sharp knives and a massive water filter so we always had drinking water. Also a combined washer and dryer so that was super useful. The house itself is really lovely, rustic and well put together with hammocks for chilling during the day, a projector for watching movies in the evening (great feature) and a massive double bed with a mosquito net. Cool to be able to swim in the natural pool in the river as well. We only have a few areas for improvement and things to be aware of for future guests:
1. There are power outages in the area and we had no power for a full day, so just something to be aware of.
2. Accessibility - the house is up a steep, rocky jungle track only accessible by 4x4 or Mototaxi (which costs approx COP $30,000 each way for two people). Obviously this is part of what makes the house such a cool location but it presents a bit of a logistical challenge if you're out late, its raining or you just want to go out quickly. Again this isn't really a criticism, it's just a fact and something to be aware of.
3. A few extra things that could be present in the house to elevate it - A shower head in the shower/some kind of rain cover, a couple of lamps upstairs (currently no electricity in the bedroom), full length mirror, more pillows/cushions for the downstairs living area.
- Alex (9/5): A peaceful and refreshing escape in nature, with a beautiful home and a truly caring host. - We had a great stay in this cozy spot surrounded by forest. The house is lovely, well-designed, and very functional — a true haven for relaxing in nature. The host was outstanding: available, helpful, and very attentive throughout our stay. It’s worth noting that access is via a sloped dirt road, about a 30-minute walk or less than 10 minutes by moto-taxi. The ride costs 15,000 pesos per person (one way), and you should plan for an extra moto-taxi for luggage. Personally, I didn’t really enjoy the moto-taxi experience, as the drivers were quite daring. That said, once you arrive, the setting is absolutely worth it.
- Charles-antoine (10/5): Relaxing - Really off the society in the middle of the jungle perfect place to relax with the sound of the river A bit far from store to do some groceries but we manage to do everything and ate at local restaurants and find local food.
- Alyssa (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful home in the middle of the Colombian jungle, right next to a flowing river so that you are immersed right into nature. Very quaint and quiet, with the nearest neighbor being a pretty good hike away. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept better here than I did in my hotel in the city!
Marius is an amazing man and an even better host! He did so much for my partner and I, including helping arrange all transportation to and from his casa along with providing some of the best tea I have ever had, and some wine. Staying here was one of the best experiences of my Colombia trip, and one of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed! The only downside is that we didn't stay long enough!
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional - Great accommodation (kitchen, comfy bed, hammocks), the river, it’s simply perfect! Marius is a very responsive and thoughtful host.
- Liam (10/5): Perfect house in the middle of paradise - Casa Ñi was one of the nicest stays we've had in South America. Marius and Camila have created an amazing space with everything you need for a relaxing time in the Colombian jungle. The house is constructed in such a spacious and modern way without losing its natural feel with its surroundings. The bed was the biggest and most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. The kitchen has all the modern appliances you need to cook a good meal and we especially enjoyed the indoor fire pit at night.
The sounds of nature that surrounded us during our stay were incredible and made our experience unique. The house has a very special essence, which welcomes you and makes you feel at home. At night it’s warm lighting allowed us to enjoy the sky full of stars and rest deeply.
The house is also located next to a river with a natural pool right next to it, perfect for a morning swim. Marius and Camila were amazing hosts, always in communication with us even when we were heavily delayed coming from Cartagena and helping us with any transportation needs. The house is also located not too far from the entrance to Tyrona National Park, which is a must in this area. We couldn't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a peaceful, home-feel stay in the middle of nature. Thanks Marius and Camila, we wish you all the best! That we couldn't stay longer
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional - The house is just amazing, it’s in the middle of the jungle. It’s very spacious and filled with many lovely details and paintings. There are small pathways and trails to multiple hikes and rural places. There are indigenous Kogi villages very close by and the owner of this astonishing place are happy to organize day trips led by locals. I leaned a lot about the traditional indigenous culture. I let was one of the most authentic places I have ever been to. Thank you so much!
- Matthias (10/5): Ein wundervoller Moment an einem wundervollen Ort - Dear Friends, this was quite an exceptional Experience!
I was in the midst of one of the most biodiverse Areas in the whole world! Where to my fortune, I had Access to a private, virgin Jungle right next to the River, where it felt just magic to visit and be in for a while.
I much enjoyed the Water Ravine aswell to plunge into the Water and to take Sunbaths which is right next to the House. It takes aprox. 30-60 Seconds walk down a little Path to arrive at the Waters. Just beautiful!
The Land itself is taken care off with regenerative, sustainable Practices of Agroforestry also known as Permaculture. This also means that the Property produces organic Food, which is an important aspect to me.
To get from the House to the Entrance of the Tayrona Park using the local Motorbike Taxis took me about 15 minutes. If I would have walked and taken the Bus, I probably could have arrived within 30-40 Minutes.
Back to the house a wide Variety of Birds were singing and Colibris were drinking the Nectar of the Flowers in the Surroundings.
Thank You so much. Hasta la proxima :)
