Guest Reviews
- John (8/5): - Price and location to ski lifts were excellent. Definitely noisy at night as the rooms are above a popular and very lively bar. From about 8pm to midnight the music and patrons are loud.
- Patricia (6/5): Once inside our unit, we enjoyed our stay, but because of all the stairs, I only went out once. - We were quite pleased with the suite itself. It was spacious, very clean, and was well equipped with everything we needed. I especially appreciated the insuite washer and dryer. I knew the dishes in the cupboard were truly clean because of the diswhaser. The bed was very comfortable. While the sofa bed was less comfortable than the master bed, my brother said he slept well. We liked that we had an assigned, secured, underground parking space, but found all the sets of stairs we had to climb to get to our suite very, very difficult, especially trying to carry luggage. I am 79 and my brother is 76. The location of this suite is absolutely unsuitable for seniors. There are 3 long sets of stairs to carry luggage up to get to your suite. IT IS IMPORTANT TO CHECK YOUR SPAM MAIL if you do not receive an email with detailed instructions on the location of the suite which gives exact location of the suite, the door to enter the building, and the 3 codes needed to enter the building, the suite, and the secured area of the underground parking. This suite is not in a hotel. There is no front desk or staff to talk to. Because I did not think to check my spam, I knew none of the preceeding details, and it took 1.5 hours to get into my suite. We found the bartender and his friend at Tapley's Bar to be most kind in trying to help us find the Windwhistle building which housed our suite, and in contacting a person to actually talk to about our reservation. All of the information had actually been sent to me, but was in my spam and I only found it after I finally got into my suite.
- David (3/5): DONT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO SLEEP! - Location VERY NOISY property is above a vibrant bar and night club which kicks off at 9pm and goes on non stop for the next 4-5 hours. It’s impossible to sleep. The owners know this as they provide ear plugs!!. Due to the construction of the building the whole house throbs with the sound, and just as you get to sleep the delivery trucks start to unload beneath the window
The entry door was wedged open some of the time, the corridors are filthy, the wired glass door was smashed (it was repaired during the stay) it looked and felt more like student accommodation
- Ken (9/5): Great stay at Brandywine - Very comfortable and well equipped apartment. Bed was very comfortable, kitchen had everything except a toaster. Washer and dryer were a godsend. Minor issues were sorted very quickly by Robbie, General Manager at Gibbons. Note that this apartment is in the Windwhistle building, above Tapleys pub. There is noise and music from the pub at night but earplugs are provided so it didn't bother us much. Only would have liked a toaster. The included underground parking was a bonus.
- John (5/5): Loved the location but hated the intrusive noice - The location is excellent and the staff were great. From 9pm-2:30 am the sound from the nightclub below is unbearable. The base sounds and techno music was extremely loud. Definitely not suitable for families. There is nothing you can do to unhear the sounds. The apt came with a box of ear plugs but they were useless and did nothing to block the sounds.
- Leo (7/5): The building has a night club. The room is noisy till 1-2AM. - The direction to the entrance of building is not clear. It took us some time to find the entrance The passcode to the garage did not work. We called the host to get a new passcode.
