Guest Reviews
- Celsa (10/5): -
- Melinda (10/5): A most delightful home & wonderful host - Excellent host communication, a very comfortable and clean home with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The front lounge was filled with light & views to the mountain backdrop. The beds were extremely comfortable.
Location was walking distance to all amenities and a good coffee shop 'Bare with me' (and a few minutes drive to the Salamanca precinct).
Great value for money.
We'd be pleased to stay here again & recommended to others. Nothing.
- Vannida (9/5): - Proximity to CBD, high up on the hill with nice view. Kitchen well stock, hot water pressure excelkent Only one bathroom with toilet in the same room. With 6 adults it requires a bit of management, can't imagine with kids or teenagers how it is going to be
- lingyan (10/5): 特别舒适,很满意 -
- jan (10/5): -
- Pamela (9/5): - The place was clean, comfortable and really well furnished, we had access to all facilities and equipment, the Owner even provided heated blankets.
The access to Hobart was simple and we could easily find shops and supermarkets nearby.
We travelled with kids and they had a great time exploring and reading the provided books and using the toys .
I would definitely recommend it to families and those looking for a quiet Hobart escape.

- Neburnum96 (10/5): Very enjoyable would stay here again - The location was fantastic beautiful views very clean and comfortable would definitely recommend. Great to be able to spread out and have a whole house and somewhere to park the car which we barely had to use. Great places to eat and shop within walking distance.
- Marcelina (10/5): Loved it it was very central, owners were amazing! They even left us a little treat because we started our holidays abit - Everything was perfect, great spot, great house and the beds were super comfortable 🙂 It didn’t really bother us that much but if we were staying longer the lack of wardrobe would have been slightly annoying
- Jen (8/5): Cosy, Elegant and convenient. Home in Hobart - The house was easy to find and beautifully maintained. We were looking for somewhere easy for my older father. Flat surfaces, no stairs. The rooms were lovely. The views up to Mt Wellington and across Hobart also great. There is an IGA and other small local shops within easy walking distance as well as a pub that we had dinner at.
The West Hobart location was great with easy accesss to Sandy Bay and south and we also walked into the cbd and salamanca. Owners were really communicative and helpful.
- Elizabeth (4/5): Basic provision of you need more than one bedroom. - I washed up the stained cups I washed up the stained cups on arrival. Old scrubber.
I aired the property to get rid of the strong cooking odours.
It was very disappointing there was no fresh coffee and minimal, low-end supplies.
- Chanaporn (9/5): Lovely, clean, and modern home perfect for our group. Great location and very comfortable. Only one bathroom, but we sti - The house is modern, clean, and very comfortable with everything we needed. Great location, quiet but still close to shops and cafes. The only small challenge was having just one bathroom for six people
- Jia Hui (10/5): - Felt like home after staying a night, it has everything we needed and the host even provides all the essentials for cooking and laundry. It has a separated living room from dining area/ kitchen like most apartments or houses, which makes it even more cosy. Host Marcus is also very helpful, answered to our questions almost instantly! none
- Katelin (10/5): Amazingly beautiful classic & well-stocked home. - The home setting was so invitingly beautiful! Everything one could ever need was well-stocked. The architecture of the place as told was built in the 1800s - such a classic! Home owner Marcus was so prompt in responding on chat & in the flesh to a minor call of emergency when my friends & I locked ourselves out. Such a kind & friendly host!
We are sure to return when we come back to Hobart!
A sure recommendation to all my friends. There is nothing not to love about this home.
- Li (10/5): - Beautiful house, convinient location, well equiped kitchen
- Kapil (9/5): -
- Sook (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious and clean home located in a very quiet residential area just minutes drive from Hobart CBD and Salamanca wharf. Many cafes and restaurants nearby. Rooms were well furnished and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and stocked with basic condiments. Good and fast communications with Marcus the host who was available any time if help was needed.
- Justin (9/5): Superb -
- Felicity (10/5): exceptional - everything nothing
- Shelley (8/5): Very good -
- Dubey (10/5): Awesome - Location and value.
- Kara (9/5): Superb - Marcus was fast to reply and made it so easy. Lovely quiet location and clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Hobart.
- Fiona (9/5): Lovely house with great views and amenities - Gorgeous views of Mount Wellington, close to town and the rivulet. We even saw a kangaroo jump down the suburban street which was unexpected!
- Stephane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (7/5): Good - Location was great.
Clean and tidy Couple of things would have made it better
-some pegs to hang washing on line
-face washers (only one was left for 6 people)
- Janet (9/5): Lovely comfortable house in good location. - Very comfortable house, beds were great . Good location . ~ Very small dark bathroom and there was nowhere to put your clothes. A couple of hooks on the back of the door would be great .
- Yuechang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Shanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good - We love the loquat tree in the front yard and the well-ventilated kitchen. Also the laundry is good too.
- Sanjog (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (9/5): Great location for a Hobart escape - location was ace. beds super comfortable. spacious home.
- Sunnie (8/5): Value for money - comfort beds, covenient location, the house is just the same as the photos show No hangers or hooks for clothes, not even in toilet, a little bit inconvenient. The bottom of fry pan is not flat and cannot connect with the electronic stove well, which make it difficult to cook.
- Eileen (9/5): Lovely House in Great Location - 1. Great location, quiet residential surroundings. Quick drive to nearby eateries, Sandy Bay Woolworths and a smaller mart, visited 3 out of 4 SOHO cafes - South Wine Bar, Bear With Me and Ginger Brown. Gathering House Bistro at Sandy Bay serves good Chinese food.
2. House amenities are very adequate with a full functional kitchen if cooking is your thing.
3. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Rooms are clean. Comfortable sofa.
4. Washer and dryer are useful and efficient.
5. Short drive up to Mount Wellington and great view of it from the living room.
6. Parking space right next to house.
7. Friendly and responsive communication with host.
8. Pictures in listing are consistent with the actual house. Sleeps 6 comfortably with one bedroom slightly smaller and do note there's only 1 bathroom. Nothing really... please note there's a short flight of stairs up to the house.
- Kunowski (10/5): Exceptional - The shower was so good!
Nice lounge and dining area.
Kitchen a little pokey but it is an absolutely great value accommodation.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodney (9/5): Very enjoyable and relaxing. - Location and view close to the Casino. Lighting in the bathroom needs to be brighter.
- David (8/5): Very good - Nice tidy property. Comfortable and clean. Great location. Second Tennant came home late and was noisy.
- Katarína (5/5): Passable - The house is suitable only for three couples which does not cook or cook only one meal. Only one toilet in one room with shower significantly extended our morning hygiene. The garden was unimproved without sitting possibilities
- Kylie (8/5): Very good -
- Leanne (8/5): Comfortable house in quiet location - We were a group of 6 adults (3 couples), and the house was perfectly big enough for all of us. The kitchen and dining area was open and spacious, allowing us all to be there together, without tripping over each other's feet.
The driveway is nice and long, so no problems putting 2 cars in there.
There is a supermarket not far away, so it was easy to buy daily supplies. The bathroom needs more light. The designer lighting makes the mirror area over the basin very impractical and hard to use.
If there is any way with future renovations of the house, it would be great if a separate toilet could be put in, so that you don't have to use the entire bathroom to use the toilet.
- Danny (10/5): Overall was very good :) - Location was perfect and right next to the CBD making it easy for us to attend our meetings. When the team and i went out for dinner, i left the front door hook unlocked. However, upon our return, i told the team to use the front door as the hook was off, however when they went to unlock the door, the hook was latched on. So we went in from the back door instead.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic spot. Close to everything. Very cozy.
- Judges (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pearleen (10/5): I loved it and would recommend others to try! - The views at the balcony was stunning. Very near mount wellington and you can see it clearly! The house was clean and well maintained Only one bathroom
- Laurent (9/5): Superb - Fine decoration and full of light everywhere in the house. Full of space for an extended family to live here. We love to stay there for vacations in Hobart.
- Ro (9/5): Lovely house and great location - No Hanging space for clothes and maybe a mirror in one of the bedrooms
- Katelyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clemence (8/5): Very good - Clean, comfortable and well stocked kitchen
- Loula (8/5): Very good -
- Desma (9/5): Superb -
- Thi (10/5): Exceptional - The location was really easy to find! My family loved the place and we would definitely recommend the place. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with! 10/10! :)
- Jeeva (9/5): A nice and comfortable place for our stay - Very comfortable beds and spacious living and dining areas, kitchen was well stocked. A small wardrobe or clothes rack/hooks would be good in each room
- Juhi (10/5): Exceptional -
