Guest Reviews
- Chris RJ Fox (5/5): Meh! - Location only Very stained carpet from previous spillages, unable to close shower door so water everywhere, at this price it would have been nice to have shower gel, and maybe even tea/coffee and milk, not too much to ask surely, was quite a warm day but air con not working.
Key collection and drop off a real hassle as two streets away. I will not bother again
- Sally (9/5): Excellent location and lovely clean apartment - The location was excellent for our needs. and the apartment was lovely, clean and very well equipped.
T I was a bit disappointed in the beds. I thought it was a 2 bedroom apartment but there was a very small sofa bed in the lounge which wasn't an issue in its self but my elderly Dad had to sleep on it as me and my partner would not have fitted and we are not big! should make it clearer that it is a sofa bed and I doubt would fit 2 adults. Also the blinds in the lounge are broken and don't really keep the light out from outside. Also instructions for getting the key were clear and the place was not far but not 3 mins from the apartment as its in the opposite direction . Also its not a back door but a front door
- Nathaniel (8/5): Very comfortable and convenient - Great location, bed was really comfortable There was a bit of a damp odour in the en-suite
- Claire (6/5): Will not return - Not much Key collection was very difficult with luggage. Very strong odour, had to throw out the dead lilies as soon as we arrived. Searched on Booking.com for 2 beds 2 rooms as we are not a couple and got one bedroom and a very uncomfortable sofa. Oven was dirty, carpets stained. Ironing board was missing and had to send photos to prove it was not in a cupboard. Three knives and three forks so had to wash up every time we used something rather than running the dishwasher once a day.
- Paula (8/5): Great apartment. Comfy bed. Light and quite spacious - Very clean and light. Good location near underground and could walk into Piccadilly Circus/regent street or cross the Thames within half an hour. Lift was great for taking luggage downstairs. Really only suitable for 2 people. We noted that if you were over average size, you may not be able to get through the shower door
- fany (10/5): -
- Zac (10/5): A perfect weekend in London - Everything, clean, had eveything you needed for a weekend. Great location too
- Alice (9/5): -
- Rudyard (4/5): do not book unless you checkin by the check-in hour. - Large lounge Awful communication from an agency that handled the property and obviously never inspected the property. I communicated with them about depositing my luggage early (without checking in) and never got a proper response until I complained to booking.com and they responded the DAY after it was too late to cancel my reservation. They finally said I could leave my luggage...however I had to call them again as the apartment wasn't cleaned, the trash was still there and the bathrooms were smelly. They remained smelly after they were cleaned, so they needed a proper airing. Location of the property was only supplied on the day of arrival (did they think I was going to camp out at their doorstep?), so that one can't plan exactly what tube station to get off. It turned out that one has to pick up the keys somewhere else, so that one has to the take tube station further away, and not the nearest one.
- Angela (6/5): Lovely stay but needs carpet, shower and sofa sorting - Beautiful place, felt very safe , kitchen well equipped, lounge nice Stained carpet in bedroom and staircase and awful smell from shower which drifted into bedroom, very warm and cover over sofa needs changing
- Kiyoe (3/5): Unfortunately not satisfactory but location was good. - Location was really good. The key collection place was only told on the day or so, as checking time is 16:00, had to do sightseeing first and was tired when arrive at the apartment. Going to another place to collect the key was inconvenient and in addition, the code they had sent me had an error so made it even later to get in to the apartment. Communication with staff was not bad bad but asn't good either. The alarm of the apartment started somehow when checked in, contacted management company again by message but wasn't solved during our stay, 2 nights. So we had to keep hearing beeping sound when sleep too. It wasn't like fire alarm volume but still weren't confortable having noise all the time.
And their WiFi system didn't function at all.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isdore (5/5): Passable - I like the fact that it was relatively close to my meeting venue, and it's seated around the sightseeing centres The carpet in the room is dirty, the whole apartment stinks, the bathroom is very small , the two long sofas in the sitting room are worn out, and one of the legs is bad
- George (8/5): Very good - Location is excellent There is an annoying fire alarm outside the flat front door which sounds every 30 seconds non stop
- Evelyn (8/5): Very good - Good location quiet felt safe. WiFi would not connect
Smell in toilets
- Paul (7/5): Nice apartment - The apartment was in a great location. It appeared new and clean and was quiet. The bed was comfortable. It was nice having two toilets. The sink in the bedroom bath was very clogged with hair. We managed to clean it as best we could but it was still slow draining. The shower had a large glass door that swung inward. If you have a belly it will be very difficult to press yourself back against the marble wall and swing the door past your belly. The kitchen was new but placement of cabinet doors made using things awkward. The kitchen utensils, dish ware and amenities were very limited.
- Mary (5/5): Ok but could be better without the smelly bathroom - The location was good. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Fully equipped and furnished apartment The bathroom had a horrible smell. It seems to be from the hand wash basin. It was quite uncomfortable using the bathroom and it made the master bedroom stink.
- Abdul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ester (6/5): Overall we had a good stay, but we spent very little time in the apartment. - Location was perfect - in the centre and still in a quiet street.
It was clean. The main room was nice and spacious, with a good kitchen. We booked this property as a three-bed apartment, since we were with three persons that do not share a bed. There was a bedroom with one bed, and one couch in the living area that could be converted to a (very uncomfortable) bed. The third person had to sleep on the other couch which did not have the option to convert to a bed. We managed, but this is not what we expected.
The bathroom was very cramped - it was impossible to close the shower door unless you are a very skinny person, which we were not.
We had not expected to be in a subterranean apartment. It was dark all day, and it smelled quite unpleasantly.
- Natalia (7/5): Good -
- Amalia (10/5): Excellent staying - Excelent staying. Very clean, veey well equiped. Perfect position for a lot of attractions.
- Zoe (8/5): Very good - Valuable apartment, very conviencenc to everywhere, big size, surprise to live in 4 days in London. Kettle is very dirty, quilt are not clean. Staff send messages for check in and check out only few hours in advance, but we are still on airplane, when we arrive to apartment to contact staff how to come in, service attitude is a little bit mean.
- Jade (9/5): Perfect overnight stay for a London night out - Great location - although it was central the apartment is tucked away where it’s quiet which was perfect. Very clean, spacious and decorated tastefully. The shower water was flowing into the bathroom which made the floor wet.
- Tracy (8/5): Great base for the city - Great location, clean and comfortable base for a couple of days. Some lamps or low lighting in The bedroom would be nice.
- Jonas (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (9/5): Very comfortable and great central location at a good price - Excellent location and very spacious compared to other options at the same price. They were also very accommodating and flexible during my stay. Not particularly homely. Could do with some decoration on the walls but not really a problem
- David (10/5): Wonderful apartment in the heart of the city. Very clean and beautifully laid out. - Great location for all of the main areas that we wished to visit. okay... the en-suite bathroom mirrored cabinet needs some attention as it doesn't close properly
- Mike (4/5): This apartment is located in Holborn NOT Covent Garden. - The apartment is a short walk to both Holborn & Chancery Lane Stations.
A great selection of supermarkets, Pubs & restaurants are within walking distance.
Comfortable apartment for a couple plus one additional person.
Large living area that encompasses the kitchen, dining & lounge area. One of the couches doubles as an additional bed. A portable bed is provided should you require one. This bed is not suitable for an adult. This a basement apartment with restricted natural light.
The marketing information indicated that there are two showers which is not correct. There is a toilet with a hand basin & an ensuite. The design of the ensuite is misleading & flawed. The shower door can only open in restricting the space available to enter the shower. The gap between the shower door and the shower wall is very tight. It helps if you are a gymnast to squeeze in without being interfered with. The patio is a narrow concrete path between two bedroom doors which serves no purpose. This apartment would suit a train enthusiast as you can hear the constant rumble of the ‘Central Line’.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - Large, comfy, well-equipped. Didn’t realize it was a bsmt apt, but the light was still excellent.
- Tricia (7/5): Good - The location was good. One wine glass and one glass tumbler for a party of three. Beds were made up for two people bur there was three of us.
- Carlos (9/5): Great stay! Would recommend - Location. Unit was a bit warm but we had fans!
- Christine (8/5): Comfort and convenience all around you - Large enough for 4 people It says 2 bath but only has a very small shower, no bathtub and 1/2 bath with toilet and sink.
Only 2 teaspoons, 1 drinking glass, 1 wineglass. Blanket in cabinet was very dirty.
- K.o.a. (7/5): Poor WIFI - Good location. Two toilettes. WIFI connection was very poor and almost not available. Since the room was on the basement, 4G was also very weak. We stayed for 3 nights, and there was almost no internet connection available. There were two toilettes and this was positive point. However, the basin in one of the toilettes was crogged and even leaking.
- Nosheen (6/5): Poor communication. Spacious apartment. - Location was good and the apartment was spacious inside (despite being a basement apartment). The host did not respond to most of my messages.
The sink was blocked when we arrived and they didn’t reply until the next day about fixing it.
There were issues with the internet and the blinds, and I sent a number of messages with no response at all. I thought this was very poor to not even acknowledge the message.
I messaged them on Thursday morning, and we checked out on Sunday with no response.
- Wong (4/5): Disappointing - Good location , tidy and clean, comfortable beds The WiFi do not have signal, nothing on tv, toilet sink stuck. Bathroom design not good. Both bathroom and toilet are too small.
- Ross (9/5): Superb - Very clean and modern. Make sure you remember to go to the specified location to pick up the key.
- Olivia (8/5): Great for what we needed - The flat was quite spacious and clean. The location was great: not crowded, quiet at night, and just a few minute walk from a tube and bus station. It never took you more than 20 minutes to get to most places you would want to visit. There is an elevator to help get your luggage into the flat. Also had tea and a kettle which was great for the mornings. Having to get the key around the corner was an easy process but that can be tough when you have luggage, especially when checking out. Also the bathroom could easily flood due to there not being a lip for the water to not escape the shower area so we turned the shower head off at times during the shower to ensure it didn’t flood the bathroom. Also it is listed as having air conditioning but the temperature never dropped below 24 degrees Celsius even though we set the thermostat at 20 degrees. They are a basement apartment which helps and they did have a fan in the living room.
- Dror (9/5): Superb - Great apartment, new and clean. Large space . Uncomfortable and small bed. Very (too) small shower but excellent stream.
Outdoor was not closed so the property is not secured enough
- Shannon (6/5): The location was excellent but there are some 'ease of use' items that could be corrected. - The flat itself was a nice layout. The appliances were high-spec. The towels were lovely. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking impliments. We felt safe and the location was great. There were housekeeping issues. There was at least two different hair samples on the bathroom floors. The coffee machine was clogged beyond use. The rain shower needs de-limescaling and does not spray at all well. There was a broken wine glass in the bathroom cabinet. We could not figure out how to control the climate in the flat. There was no fan as alternative. The light in the bedroom closet doesn't switch off. The front door beeped the whole time we stayed. We couldn't not turn it off. The internet was very, very slow and we did not have a 5G signal.
- Preethi (8/5): Great place to stay! Would come again -
- Eugene (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): Comfortable - It was a perfect overnight stay Bathroom was very tiny but not a huge problem
- Patricia (7/5): Good - Location We could not get the tv to work and there were no instructions anywhere. A handbook/leaflet in the apartment would have been useful. Recommendations of bars, restaurants in local area would also be helpful.
- Nadia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - Excellent location. Very quiet. Perfect base for a short stay in London. Supermarkets close by. Easy to walk to tube to get Elizabeth line to Heathrow. Attended to a problem with shower not draining and was quick to respond but this should have been noticed when cleaning as shower quickly filled up with water which then flowed into the bathroom. Nice to have lots of space as lots of London rooms are really small. Nice big TV . Fast wifi. Could walk to theaters and lots of restaurants close by. Having to walk to get keys . Would be a real problem if it was raining. Why not have key pickup closer to the apartment as one person needed to stay with the luggage while went to get the key.
Annoying chirping in the hallway of a fire sensor all the time we were there which could be heard in the apartment.
Entryway is very untidy with mail on the floor and piles of it in the entryway.
Some instructions to use microwave would be useful as it wasn't a standard
- Gad (8/5): enjoyable experience, will most likely stay there again - living room & kitchen bathrooms too small
- Michelle (10/5): Absolute enjoyed staying here was so comfortable and homely will definitely stay again - Location, cleanliness Nothing, probably the only thing would by good would be a clothes dryer but our clothes dried quickly on the rack provided so was not a problem
- Peter (7/5): Good quality apartment in relatively central location - Clean modern and comfortable. Decor was lovely and as expected. Very clean. The en suite shower room was very small - difficult for my (older) father to manage getting into shower. The location wasn’t quite Covent Garden as titled!
- Ian (7/5): Good -
- Leoni (7/5): Great for location but lacking the small touches expected in an 'apartment' accomodation. - Location was perfect, everything so easy to access. The 'sofa bed' was assumed to open out as a 'bed' size but it was as you see it, a small sofa so ok, but not brilliant as this was needed for 2nd person.
No table lamps to feel homely, or a table by the bed to place a cup. All spot lights. Homely touches quite lacking.
Shower space really difficult, ok for a smaller person as door opens inwards so access out wasnt easy. Shower holder needs a clean, black mould. The towel rail tucked against toilet, should be higher up.
A small milk would have been appreciated, that's just personal choice though.
- Fatin (8/5): Very good - the apartment was spacious and neat. the location was amazing with short walking distance to any of the main streets in central london. Also, key pick up and drop off was super straightforward and easy. I would definitely stay there again. The bathroom needs more ventilation, the humidity scent lingers quite long after the shower. also, I really do hope they change the bed mattress as that was not the most comfortable.
- Vesna (9/5): Nice and quite big apartment in the good London location - Nice and quite big apartment in the good London location. Well decorated. For a group of a friends or a family its a nice choice while in London. Keys needs to be pick up in the close by store.
There are instructon on the itinerary but just for info will put it in here too.
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (8/5): It was okay - Good
Location Lighting terrible. No lamps in bedroom
- Farran (9/5): Good value for money and in the middle of everything you need. - Good value for money, everything needed for the perfect stay even with extras like Netflix. Only ‘negative’ which isn’t really a negative is that there were no toiletries as it stated in the description but we brought our own anyway.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect location, fantastic accommodation - would recommend to anyone! - Excellent communication with the host beforehand - very friendly and accommodating. The property was much larger than we expected and extremely clean and comfortable. The location could not have been any better - right smack in the middle of Holborn but once inside it was very quiet. Many breakfast options in the area - we took a short walk to Becks Cafe on Red Lion Street - absolutely amazing full english! Hard to think of anything negative but if I was being very picky I would say:
- the white sofa was a little bit grubby in places
- no bin bags in the kitchen for our rubbish
- an extra key would have been useful.
- Onur (10/5): Stunning Apartment with views of Buckingham Palace! - Absolutely loved this apartment. Great location with amazing views of Buckingham palace and everything you need within walking distance. Me and my girlfriend will definitely be coming back. Nothing!
- Andonis (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy as described chic amazing interior
