Francois (9/5): Séjour très agréable - Chambre confortable, belle vue sur la vallée. Il manque quelques ustensiles dans la cuisine comme une passoire pour pouvoir se faire des pâtes, et des bols.
Mick (8/5): Great - The location is superb. Great view over the valley. The rooms facilitate most needs during your holiday. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. There is enough space to park a car nearby. All rooms where poorly isolated (sound). You can hear neighbors talking when they speak a little louder.
Dean (8/5): Stunning building, beautifully reimagined as accomodation and spotlessly clean. - Comfortable beds, lovely decor and facilities, beautifully decorated and very spacious (room 3) We loved little touches like the coffee pods, thank you. Pillows were either too thin or two hard, it’s an English thing. Would have liked more info on where we could go within the property and details of its history and previous use.

Andrew (9/5): Good, but room for improvement - Lovely little castle, which would be even better if it was fully completed and you could use and see all parts of it. Did not encounter any dampness or mosquito issues as some other reviewers mentioned. Was able to check-in early and got an extra radiator heating unit after the first night was a bit cold in the hills. Nice shared kitchen with free coffee, but not enough cooking utensils. Very nice room, with small imperfections that would have made it a perfect stay. For instance, there are not enough towel racks, covers needed for the bedside lights, or else too bright. Luckily, no one stayed in the room next to me, or else we would have been able to hear everything in the adjacent room (as other reviewers mentioned)! The soundproof issue needs to be resolved. Very quiet area, but you can clearly hear the cars from the neighbors driving by or footsteps of someone walking past the room on the gravel.

Niels (7/5): Good - Location in the nature, also staff was very friendly. Please keep in mind your jn the hills and at the north of the island, so it is nog always sunny. We had a room with a door and thin wall to the other room. The last day the other room was also occupied. This doesn’t work. We could hear everything. Both room should not be used at the sane time

Roger (6/5): Beautiful surroundings - The location was great, a short walk to the forest, or around the property to look at the horses etc. Also beautiful views over the valley when you are outside. Friendly staff. We didn't have mosquitoes as other reviewers have experienced. The beds were very comfortable and possible to completely shut out the light. Very fast wifi. Pretty good value for money at 55 EUR / night. The name "resort" is misleading, the place is more like a motel (no lobby / reception, no breakfast or food options available). There was a damp / moldy smell in the room and very humid (however, an electric radiator helped with that). There were no chairs in the room so you could only lie down in the bed or stand up (but outdoor furniture on the roofless terrace).
Cristopher (10/5): Like at home - The staff, rooms, facilities and location was amazing. Very close to the most green and nature part of the island, perfect to move around to the north part. Nothing.
Olga (9/5): Superb - El Batan Resort is nestled in a serene neighborhood, boasting a picturesque hillside location with breathtaking views. During my stay, I experienced two different rooms. Room 7, though compact with just a bathroom window, featured a spacious terrace, while Room 5 (1 bedroom apartment) impressed with its generous amenities, including a kitchen and a spacious bathroom. The staff, particularly the friendly groundskeeper, enhanced my experience with his warm hospitality. I highly recommend trying horseback riding, as the landscapes are simply stunning, and the local wine tasting at the end adds a delightful touch.

Eefje (7/5): Good - The building is beautiful! It overlooks a beautiful green valley. We would have loved to air the room at night and after taking a shower but it was too cold for that and there were many mosquitos. I think we killed about 10-15 mosquitos in the first night before we could sleep. A klamboo could easily solve the problem or some mosquito nets in the window. We rented this place also to work from there but there is no desk space. Around the building there is nothing. If you want to eat something or drink something you have to take the car.
