Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding a Terrible Stay Experience
I had the worst experience ever with a property booked through Booking.com, which caused significant distress to my family, especially my young children.
1. My family endured a distressing and sleepless night, particularly the children who were terrified throughout the ordeal.
2. Despite repeated attempts, the owner and manager failed to respond or answer our calls between 12:00 AM and 5:34 AM, leaving us helpless during the emergency.
3. We were forced to wait outside in the parking area, as the apartment was extremely dark and unbearably hot — located on the 16th floor with an outside temperature of 35°C.
4. Our mobile phones died, we were unable to cook or access basic necessities, and the stress of the situation was compounded by repeated banging noises on the ceiling, which sounded like someone hammering. Although this may have been a neighbor, my wife and daughter were frightened and remain disturbed by the experience.
5. The overall condition and atmosphere of the apartment resembled that of a haunted or horror house, leaving a lasting negative impression. As a result, I had no choice but to cancel my next booking from July 19 to 23 and have now shifted to Airbnb.
6. Such irresponsible and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. It appeared to be intentional retaliation, possibly due to a disagreement I had with the host over the cleaning fee, which I ultimately paid through the Booking.com app after a dispute.
