Guest Reviews
- Guest (10/5): Un soggiorno perfetto meglio che a casa! - Appartamento stupendo, curato in ogni minimo dettaglio !dagli arredi all’atmosfera, tutto trasmette comfort e armonia.
- Andrea (3/5): Trastevere is a great area, but do not recommend this apartment. - The location is wonderful. The beds were comfortable enough. The Host was generally very good at replying to me and was great to add an extra day at the start of our trip last minute. This apartment is on the ground floor of a multi floor unit that is very busy. The window for one of the bedrooms is beside the gate to enter the property. It opens and closes all day and all night, It is very loud and there is lots of banging. The windows rattle each time the gate opens and closes. (Really loud rattle) You can clearly hear conversations outside the windows.
We felt fairly safe but being on the ground floor with so many people going in and out of the gates is not ideal.
Only 2 of the 3 bedrooms had AC.
There is no living room or common area to sit in except for the tiny room that is the kitchen. You could go outside in the garden but this area is not well kept, was dirty and was overgrown.
We had planned to cook however the kitchen is so tiny and compact, with the bare minimum of dishes and cooking utensils that we did not cook at all. There was a grime to the kitchen and it smelt dirty and smokey.
The wifi code was given to us after we asked, but it only worked in in the kitchen, and it had a very poor signal and did not work everywhere in the apartment.
We did not have hot water for 2 of our days. (5 nights total)
The city tax that has to be paid in Italy - we wanted to meet the host and pay this in cash but they insisted to pay in advance and would only release the door code once we paid. This was our last stop on a month long trip so I am aware of the city tax and it can be collected at the end of the stay or in cash, this is shady IMO. We could not sign up for the app the host wanted the payment on as we are not european and finally settled on paypal. I would have preferred to pay in cash.
The cleanliness of the apartment was dismal. Hair, and dirt on the floor.
The listing states there are toiletries, shampooo, etc provided but there were only empty bottles that other guests had left.
I unfortunately can not recommend this apartment to rent. This apartment needs to be gutted and remodelled along with a deep cleaning.
- Holly (7/5): Disappointed in wonderful Rome - Proximity to Tram & Bus; 3 large rooms; 1st floor. Host responded to everything that was essential, ie paper goods and broken bed but numerous items in the apartment were problematic(oven/range, WC, bed slats which broke twice, dirty outdoor space, etc)Beds were not very comfortable. In good conscience I cannot rate this apartment positively.
Oh well. It was Rome so all’s well that ends well!
- Jacobsen (10/5): Lovely spacious appartment with an exotic private garden - We loved this appartment. Spacious, elegant and comfortable. The private garden with the orange- and lemontrees and all the other greens was so great for relaxation.
I celebrated my birthday in Rome, and they gave us a Prosecco and many sweets which we enjoyed. We had good communication with the hosts. They were very helpful.
The appartment was easy accessable with a code, so no key needed, which was convinient. The heating was turned off on the 7th of April, which is mandatory in Rome, and we couldn't get the aircondition working (for heating the flat) but I m sure they will easily fix it, we didn't bother doing much about it, because it wasn't That cold.
