• Nixon (3/5): - We were at Avoca for a school reunion and we were able to walk to most places. We were very disappointed in Wabi Sabi. Attention to detail was appalling. The cacti on the verandah had weeds growing in the pots and they were half dead and some pots just stuck on top of other pots up one end of the verandah. The table on the verandah was broken and patched up with sticky tape. The chairs not much better. A window in main bedroom was broken and patched up with sticky tape. There were no blinds in the living/kitchen area which was not good at night and the room was extremely hot in the morning. No towels out for one couple so I went looking and found some in the cupboard, plus all the dirty laundry stuffed in the cupboard. And the worst! The toilet didn't flush the majority of the time making it very difficult with 4 people staying. A lot of the time we used the toilets near the beach. I never normally whinge about accommodation but this was not a good experience, plus we did ask for some sort of a refund but nothing forthcoming which is extremely disappointing. And it wasn't a cheap stay.

• Anthony (10/5): Great location and wonderful vibe - The location of the property was superb for us. Right across the road from the beach with a coffee shop directly below and local eateries close by. The Wabi Sabi vibe of the place suited our bohemian aesthetic. The cacti garden is wonderful with some in flower, but it needed a bit of a prune and tidy up to make it feel loved and cared for.

• Mace (8/5): We enjoyed our stay in this centrally located, quirky apartment. - Convenient location, quirky decor, comfy bed and linen, nice balcony in good weather, glimpses of the ocean o We stayed during a cold snap and the apartment wasn’t very cosy. We had to pull heaters out of a messy bedroom cupboard and found two that worked. The lamp in the lounge didn’t work. There are cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings, especially in the bathroom. There are so many pictures and mirrors on the walls, eg in the toilet there is no room for a hand towel! It can be noisy being above the shops on the main street.
