Guest Reviews
- Debra (8/5): - Easy to communicate with Host, The lock box needs to be updated as the number and sticker was hard to find
- Schukow (9/5): It should be clearer when booking through a third party. Otherwise it was a great stay. - Good location-close walking distance to south bank I didn’t know when booking that I wasn’t booking through the building facility itself-this wasn’t stated on booking.com. Therefore I was unaware of the check in process prior to booking and we were unable to leave luggage at reception as this was only for guests booking through them.
- Tia (3/5): - It was fine The key collection. Very confusing and needs to be more clear when booking it is at Brisbane casino tower. An address was only given and I was extremely confused. I told them I would pay deposit at reception to which they said “i would highly advise to pay online.” They should have explained. It is independently owned if you do not pay online you will not get key collection instructions
- Fletcher (7/5): Good - Such good facilities in the building- beautiful pool, sauna and spa.
Room was clean and well equipped. Near impossible to find keys in locked box a mile down the road. Overkill check in process and deposit taken out of credit card.
- Lauren (9/5): Great apartment and location. Would stay again. - Great location for seeing the city, south bank and west end via foot.
Apartment very spacious and well stocked for cooking. Beds comfy. Cot provided.
Balcony lovely for breakfast. Covered so used in the rain.Kids absolutely loved the view of the trains.
Pool, gym, spa and sauna area very well kept. Spa nice and warm.
Very close to Queensland Museum which has bag drop so easy to leave bags there and explore the museum before our flight home.
Very clean. n.a
- Jeremy (5/5): Passable -
- Erin (7/5): Good -
- Chrissiemac (4/5): A week’s stay in a poorly equipped apartment at a high price, in a dodgy area. Don’t bother! - We had a week’s stay here to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with family. The location was handy to walking along the river and access to Southbank. Plus it was also easy to get to other places by car. Dodgy part of South Brisbane. When we first arrived we found the key box - all information provided by Dropbox links. Fine if you’re not in the lower basement ( B6) of the building with phone service- there isn’t any here. Spent ages sorting out which was the allocated car park- not clearly marked. Poorly equipped and maintained apartment. No attempt to keep the apartment up to date with regular longer term cleaning and maintenance.
We wanted to have the opportunity to prepare meals for ourselves.
However, this apartment was so poorly equipped that was impossible. Very little kitchenware was disappointing- 3 forks and one utility knife for an apartment rented out for 4 adults. The holiday property management were responsive and consistently apologetic, but made little attempt to resolve the issues of lack of cleanliness, poor facilities and no long term maintenance. The owner and management are clearly more interested in taking guests money than providing a positive holiday stay. There was black mould on the bathroom ceiling, no bathroom sink plug to block the mould odour coming up from under the vanity- overwhelmingly bad; thin towels with no hand towel provided and very little cookware to justify having a dishwasher. There was nothing provided to cook in the microwave. The holiday property management employ one person to deal fix supply and other issues for the hundreds of apartments they manage. It took two days to receive a kitchen sink plug which allowed us to wash up without the water running out of the sink. The location is in a rundown area of South Brisbane, where social housing is also located. At night there are groups of people gathering in the street making a lot of noise and leaving piles of litter on the footpath.
Holiday rental here is about making money for the owner and Yorke Holiday Specialists. It is not about giving guests any satisfaction with their holiday stay.
- Nisha (6/5): Pleasant - Very clean. Big bathroom. Good location if you want to do stuff around the cultural precinct. Near cafes, restaurants and supermarkets A terrible smell was emitting from the drainage holes which ended up making the whole apartment smell. I have experienced this before so i know its the buildings drainage and not the cleanliness of the apartment, which was very good. Also the front door wouldn't lock so had to sleep with unlocked door. As soon as i reported it, they were apologetic and said they would look into it. Note: i only reported on checkout as was only there for 2 nights. Good communication from the property managers
- Elizabeth (1/5): A complete rip off. Keep scrolling. - Nothing. It’s a rip off for the price we paid. Booking this place was an absolute joke. My partner and I, both in our 60’s, got an email the day before we checked, explaining we had to pick up the room keys at a different location. So we flew into Brisbane and caught an Uber to the location of lockbox key collection. We sat outside on a bench waiting for the keys for 3 hours. We had asked for an early check in if possible as we were going to Suncorp for a 2pm game. We were told they would try but couldn’t guarantee it. Fair enough. So at 1.30pm someone dropped off the keys. We then had to walk about 3 blocks, carrying all our luggage, to where our apartment was actually located. What a joke. We were never told about this until the afternoon before. The apartment # 1003 or 1013 I think, @ $450 for the night, was a complete rip off. Very ordinary. The balcony overlooks a vacant piece of land and overhead train tracks. The trains run in both directions all night and it’s noisy. The beds were mediocre and getting to local Aussie TV stations almost impossible. Run while you can.
- Renan (8/5): Very good -
- Lynette (9/5): Superb -
- Eileen (10/5): Highly recommend - Just few minutes walk from cultural Centre and city. On-site parking a bonus
- Heather (7/5): Good -
- Holly (10/5): Perfect apartment for a week exploring the city - Great location, great facilities, gym, pool, sauna Nothing
- Tania (8/5): Lovely room but accessing keys was a real pain in butt & frustrating. - Beautiful room, well presented and clean Quite frustrating having to go to a different location to access our keys. Would be a bigger nightmare if on your own as no parking nearby.
- Amanda (7/5): Good - The location, clean, balcony and comfortable beds It wasn't that easy to gain access!! But the phone call helped.
- Michael (5/5): Other than the key situation would definitely stay here again and highly recommend - Only 1 key. Definitely recommend supplying 2 keys especially for a 2 bedroom apartment. Every night someone had to come down to the lobby the let another guest in and up the lift
- Tash_hehir (8/5): Lovely, clean apartment - Beautiful, clean apartment, good location. It was VERY hard to find. It was located in the Casino Towers building. No parking while you searched for the key. Because it was privately owned none of the staff were willing to help, saying 'we don't manage that apartment'. I was fortunate to meet a stranger on the street who helped me find a bike rack with a key inside. Quite stressful to say the least.
The apartment itself was lovely & fresh.
- Caroline (6/5): Pleasant - Bed comfortable No milk or dishcloth
- Bk80 (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely clean, comfortable modern apartment within walking distance to Qpac. The balcony and lounge room offered enough space to be able to sit with friends and talk. There's a nice pool area and underground parking is available. This accommodation suited our needs perfectly and I would stay there again. All good, nothing I didn't like.
- Maryanne (8/5): Great place to stay. Great value for money - Easy to access, nice and clean and had everything we needed
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Great clean unit in great location Key collection difficult with nowhere to park.
