Guest Reviews
- Lily (4/5): Comfortable bed but missing essentials - Comfortable bed, location was good The studio was simple and had the basics for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, which was a big plus. However, the dining table was wobbly and could use some repairs. There wasn’t much natural light, and the shower drain needed attention as it tended to fill with water. There was no internet which made it difficult to work or study, and a dog upstairs barked quite a bit when people came and went. A full-length mirror would also be a great addition. Overall, it was fine for a short stay, but a few improvements would make a big difference.
- Naomi (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Very good - Pool, gym, bed No parking
- Brunna (9/5): Superb - Clean and well located The wifi signal was very weak
- Trevor (6/5): It suited our purpose to visit friends on Gold Coast. Thank you for allowing us to rent. - Location was good. We would consider in future renting again. Parking at night was an issue but was warned. There was a cupboard door in kitchen off its hinges when we arrived. I little dusty on ornaments and around edges. Seemed bugs got in around outlet of air cooler exit hose so bug spray would have helped Overall very well priced for facility
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Facilities great. Bed very comfortable.
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (7/5): Good -
- Glenda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dr (7/5): Spacious, clean, good location, room for improvement on quality. - Perfect location for university work, being just a few short minutes away from campus. Large, spacious room, very clean, and quiet. Large fridge, kitchen reasonably well equipped, spacious bathroom. Very big bed - but uncomfortable. No air-conditioning and no ventilation or natural light other than the front door; you have to leave blinds open for light, with neighbour's windows looking straight at the door, and you must sleep with the door open if you want air, but the fly screen does not lock, making it a bit unnerving at ground level.
Door lock, sink taps, table, all loose and wobbling. Not enough toilet paper for the duration of the stay, no soap or hair drier. Pool use is listed as a facility, but pool rules prohibit visitors using it without being accompanies by a resident (I did overhear loud arguments about it, so I avoided using it myself).
- Ikuko (10/5): Clean and beautiful place! - Very clean and great facility
- Beverley (1/5): Very stressful - No lounge as picture people running around upstairs noisy no parking people living in garage homeless people It was a terrible experience
- Haris (10/5): We love you eirini it felt like a second home cozy and she was always there to help make our stay better - I was welcome just like I was entering one of my auntie's houses. The host is absolutely very generous and very kindhearted. I would absolutely recommend staying with these people. 10/10 I mean value for money you got a sauna swimming pool gym beautiful neighbourhood and all the facilities that you could possibly wish for plus would definitely recommend using her toaster oven which was amazing
- Beverley (1/5): Very frustrating - No lounge stove didn’t work toaster didn’t work people running around above homeless people living in garage next to studio only 12 hours parking dog barking Only stayed 3nights did book 8 nights but left didn’t feel safe
- Sue (8/5): It was a quiet environment and no road noise . The unit was nice and fresh and clean but parking was confusing and down - It was clean and tidy with a good size fridge and modern utilities. The confusion about where to park as a paying visitor to the complex.
Varsity Shores Management claimed that as a visitor I had used the same parking space for more than 12 hours and I was told I had violated the rules and my car would be towed away.
After the first 12 hours I had errands to run so spent 8 hours away from the complex. Then returned to the same car space after 8 hours obviously that was not noted.
I spoke to the lady from 109 and she asked me to upload the parking document and she also she that I could park in her driveway.. she was very kind to offer me that.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Colin (3/5): Poor -
- Denise (5/5): Passable - The room it self was OK. Facilities weren't the greatest, shower was filling up, with water, only two towels, driveway was always blocked, just lucky we had a small car the gate when entering wouldn't open, which was frustrating., no tea towels.
- Rodney (4/5): Difficult to find - Cheap and convenient location Very difficult to find the property, a property manager was not contactable. Had to walk around 120 units aimlessly hoping to find it!
- Deb (8/5): Peaceful, just what I needed to come home to each night - Location to my venue - it was only an 8 min drive to Robina Community Centre - it had all I needed to prepare for my event every day. Great facilities.
- Erika (9/5): We enjoyed our stay - For our stay it was what we were looking for. Mattress could be better
- Alexandre (10/5): Exceptional - Great place! Clean and has everything you need. Glad we booked it even though there were some bad comments in the previous reviews. We checked in at 2am without any problem, nice and easy. Good Kitchen, pool right in front of the property. Highly recommend. I guess if you have a car the street parking after 12h is a bit of a walk, but not a problem in my opinion.
- Megan (9/5): Cute and clean - Really clean with great facilities and close to everything you need. It was nice to relax with the smart TV after a long drive. Parking wasn’t allowed onsite for more than 12 hours so I didn’t like that we had to leave our car on the road out of the gated community. The next day the person parked next to us had their window smashed in which put us on edge.
- Kerry (10/5): It’s was great, thanks - Very close to Bond Uni. Great gym and pool for use our front. Good equipment in kitchen and big fridge. Nice and cool.
- Felipe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jordan (9/5): Clean, comfortable studio! - Good location super close to Blackboard Cafe and Lake Orr. Pool & gym right across from unit which was so nice. Comfy little unit equipped with everything you need. The water pressure was amazing in shower. Had no issues with visitor parking - I was out a lot and could always get a spot when I returned. The owner was very helpful and accommodating, the aircon was playing up and they offered to come straight away! Also so grateful for pet friendly accommodation, so hard to find! It has a slightly damp feel but I think it’s because of where it’s located under a town house. If you leave fan & AC on it comes right. Little bit noisy from other occupants of the townhouse.
- Tayla (8/5): Very good -
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- John (7/5): The property is comfy, it is close to Bond Uni, and it’s reasonably priced, but accessing it for the first time was chal - Very large, very comfortable bed, comprehensive range of facilities I found access extremely confusing, both to the gated community within which the property lies, and to the specific part of the specific building within the property. This may have been partly my fault for not understanding the instructions provided, but the instructions for accessing the property were not terribly clear for a first-time guest.
Also the facilities, though there was a good range, were generally a bit dated, not fabulously clean and were generally a bit ordinary. (Maybe I’ve been a bit lucky to often stay in four or five star properties).
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (8/5): Comfy - Close to my uni which was really convenient. water pressure was amazing and could get really hot. Comfy bed and cooking is available. N/A
- Anonymous (10/5): Great! - The bed was very comfortable The fact parking was only 12 hours
- Kit (9/5): Very nice - Bed was super comfy Pillows were to big. Neck was strained the whole night so need 2 different types of pillows and maybe an under sheet as got quite warm
- Li (8/5): Very pleas stay - Large and comfortable room. Host was very friendly and helpful. Have to contact the host to get in to the property
- Murray (2/5): Very poor - Nothing to like whatsoever about our stay there. Terrible Tiny child like seats for dining table with poor quality towels and T towels and bedding of poor quality. Very poor quality kitchen utensils and horrible cups to use.
Cobwebs on internal corner walls, bent keys for entry, i presume a child loudly running around morning and night on timber floors above accommodation being annoying.
Room was smelly of mould and even had mould rid protection containers in room.
Very poor curtains, and to top it off rediculous 12 hour parking rules for guests if available or walk several hundred metres and park out in dark unsecure street. Thus if you park at 5 pm make sure you shift car by 5 AM or suffer the threat and costs of being towed away by unit complex management. Never Again..!!
- Anushma (1/5): Bad Experience - Nothing Bed linen was dirty, tried to contact property manager but but didn't answered.
- Dr (1/5): Would book this again - To locate at 11.30 in the night. Room was cold, stinky , rusty bathroom. The accommodation is at the back . Neighbour came out to help
- Kiran (2/5): stressful. - nothing there was nothing to like.
- Susan (9/5): Great. Would stay again - Easy and clean and safe. Better pillows and a bed side lamp
- Kevin (7/5): A nice, comfortable, good facilities but the parking situation is a show-stopper for me. - Clean, comfortable, great facilities as part of the complex, good location for the uni. Parking is a real issue, the "free" parking is the complex's visitor car-park so limited to 12 hours, longer parking is on the street a half a kilometre away - not appropriate for a disabled person. Showing "Parking" as an available facility is a bit cheeky (the restrictions are not apparent until after the booking is confirmed).
- Annick (7/5): Altogther it was nice. - close to the uni. it was nice and comfortable There’s no parking and I had to use the visitor’s parking which was only for 12 hrs. I was 2 hrs over and got a notice.
- Julie (7/5): unfortunately the parking was an issue so I wouldn’t stay there again. - The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette and bathroom were great. The parking was a BIG negative for me. It’s a very big unit complex and if the 3 visitors car park was full then you had to look for a park far away from the unit.
I think it would have been nice if there was some coffee & tea supplies for a morning coffee.
- Zhao (5/5): Passable -
