- Guest (7/5): Check-in was easy, staff helpful and friendly. Room was comfy, warm and clean. Great location. - Location was great. check in process was super easy and the staff very friendly. There is no door to the bathroom which is ok for a solo traveller but there needs to be a covering for the bathroom window, as it lets the sunrise light in and the room becomes very bright very early.
- Julia (8/5): Lovely staff and an easy place to stay - Comfy and dog friendly

- JUDITH (7/5): - The location was great. It was quiet and had secured access to the carpark and rooms. Though on the small side and basic, the room was clean and adequate for a couple of nights. It had a really comfortable bed and the ac was great after a really hot day. We found the lack of space and small bathroom, a challenge for a tall couple. Also only 1 chair.
- Debra (8/5): - Nice and quiet
- Karen (7/5): - Staff are friendly and down-to-earth. Room smelled like cigarettes
- Shae (10/5): Great stay - Lovely staff who were welcoming and helpful on arrival, bed was comfortable, came with a private bathroom, tv, fridge. Has aircon/ heater and secure parking for vehicles.
- Guest (1/5): - I arrived and my room was double booked and I cant seem to work out how to get my money back

- Guest (1/5): Unbelievable and only stayed the one night before making my escape ! - Nothing at all. I am used to slumming it but I refuse to stay in a ghetto ! The pub looked as if it was due for demolition and the accommodation was probably the mine workers doss house.

- Julie-ann (8/5): Okay stay - This was an okay place to stay. Would have liked something better but not many options. On arrival our room wasn't ready which was very annoying - some mix-up. We were offered a free drink in the bar while the room was sorted out. The room was okay, not very big but comfortable and had a toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge. Only a short drive into Boulder and not much further into Kalgoorlie. Has long term tenants who leave early in the mornings

- Anonymous (1/5): Find somewhere else to stay. - Location. We thought the building was derelict when we arrived; padlocked, graffiti-covered and broken windows. We phoned and were admitted. Carpet was filthy and the whole place was shabby. Although we’d prepaid, we just left and found other accommodation. I had booked because the rating was good so I want to be honest to help others avoid the disappointment.
- Srinivasan (8/5): Very good -
- Barbara (9/5): Superb - It was cosy and WARM ( because kal was experiencing a freezing cold snap.) We were impressed with the cleanliness 😃. A simple room with everything you needed - heater, kettle, toaster and crockery / cutlery in fridge. We were grateful that our dog could be inside. Jack was helpful and straight to the point. A great experience at a very reasonable price. Basin tap worked but very loose
- Drazen (8/5): Relaxing - The locked gate, the cleanliness of the room, free washing machines and we could have our fur babies.
Dinner at the restaurant at the hotel was amazing 😋 No dryers for rainy days unfortunately and boy did it rain.
- Srinivasan (7/5): Good -
- Annette (8/5): Great - Jack is an awesome host and he made us feel very welcome and looked after.
The menu was delicious

- Lesley (6/5): Usually good. - Staff are very polite and helpful. It's usually quiet, clean and safe. There was a guest across from me arguing with her boyfriend making a lot of noise until I said something at midnight.
- Kemp (9/5): Superb - Very lovely people.. Cool room too, so sleep was great. Thank you to main reef hotel kalgoorlie
- Bree (4/5): Disappointing -
- Viv (9/5): Surprising! Exceeded expectations. - We arrived late on a 43 degree day so it took the air-conditioner a little bit of time to cool the room, but once it kicked in, our room was icy cold (we slept with blankets).
Our room was old and basic but had everything we needed and was very
clean. Our bed was super comfortable and the shower was great.
Easy parking, felt safe, quiet and could have our dog with us.
Highly recommend if you’re just needing a place to crash for the night.

- Kirsten (7/5): Good - Easy to find. Clean & comfortable. Secure parking. Restaurant on site.
- Maureen (8/5): Very good - It was nice and peaceful 😊 Nothing
- Tarra (8/5): Very good -
- Rose (8/5): Pros: clean, accepts pets, fair price, who cares about the cons. - Pleasantly suprised. The host was friendly and helpful, the rooms and property were very clean and tidy.
Hot shower, excellent water pressure.
Safe gated parking. Ground level access, close to entrances/exits.
Bonus - we could check in late in the evening, order a cooked meal
after 7pm on a Sunday and have our 2 pets stay too! Shared premises with seedy tavern that has all that indecent 'skimpy' carry on.
Bathroom doors need a mend.
- Shirley (5/5): Passable -
- Judy (7/5): A rough looking but clean and safe place to stay. Pub manager was a no-nonsense, delightful person. - It looks like a typical rough old mining town pub out front but the accomodation was clean and well run- the woman who managed the pub was fantastic. Free washing, a clean, combined kitchen, secure gate access for guests. Other guests at the accommodation were all well behaved and we were given parking for our cars behind a sliding gate that gave our vehicles and guests proper protection. It was a few minutes drive to the middle of Boulder’s Main Street and 10 minutes to the same at Kalgoorlie. I am an elderly woman travelling alone with my dog and had no concerns for my safety during my 6 day stay. I love walking and the Karlkurla Bush parkland gave many kilometres of beautiful dog on leash walking. I loved being there in wildflower season. A rough looking neighbourhood but there was no drama or problems- far safer environment than most big city locations even if the town is ordinary at first sight.
- Pam (8/5): Very good - The property had security gates and had all inclusions that I required. The room was very small.
- Gummi (10/5): Secure accommodation - Staff were exceptional, attentive and friendly. Food was brilliant. Location is great and accommodation located behind locked gates giving a feeling of safety and security. Room was well presented and bed was comfortable. Air con unit is very efficient.
- Nicole (8/5): Value for money stay - Safe parking area. Friendly staff. The Chinese restaurant slaps. Very noisy when trying to sleep.
- Michael (9/5): Very happy and will be back again - Staff are always friendly N/A

- Jenny (7/5): Good -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Staff Noisy air-conditioner
- Francesca (10/5): Comfortable stay, Chinese restaurant with good food and great Tavern onsite. - Tidy clean room with a super comfy bed. Thoughtful, friendly staff. Nothing
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Safe area to park my car
- Jackson (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (9/5): Love the place will b back soon - Really friendly people Clean and tidy with secure parking
- Jeniffer (1/5): Very unsafe neighbourhood to stay around and the “hotel” is nothing short than a pub - Nothing, completely false advertisement and should not be on booking at all. Nothing has been done about my case either, arrived to the property and the bartender barely looked at us, very unsafe neighbourhood, the other reviews must be fake. Do yourself a favor and don’t book here or you will get to the property and be disappointed. It is a completely false advertisement and should not be on booking at all. - Petronella (9/5): Superb - Very cheap and accessible. Clean and tidy. Chiese did grin the restaurant was awesome, and staff super friendly. Everything was great, but if I could suggest a did to the bathroom, it would be a bonus and if provided a little dishwashing detergent, I could wash the dishes, as a cloth was provided
- Celia (3/5): Main Reef Motel - Gated parking There was no hot water, the room smelled, it took a while to check-in as I was given rooms that were not clean or occupied, pillows were super uncomfortable (way too thin), towels were rough and looked a bit dirty, tv only worked for 2 channels.
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trish (7/5): Cheap comfortable short term stay good food - Beds very comfortable
Lots of effort made to make areas homely
