• christodoulou (2/5): Bad experience - The village that is near Kakopetria The room was dirty. The view is not how it is in the picture. There are no trees around it. The river makes too much noise and it's dirty. The bedsheets were not for the winter and we got cold. No lights at balcony

• Tamar (2/5): בתנאים האלו - לא ממולץ בכלל - כלום צוות ממש לא נחמד. בתמונות הכל נראה יפה, במציאות ממש לא. קיבלנו חדר עם מיטה קטנה נראה לפי הציוד שהוא חדר לבודד.. ביקשנו להחליף פקידת הקבלה כבר לא היתה והשאירה אדם כנראה ללא סמכות, כי כל דבר צריך היה להתקשר אליה. החדר ממש פשוט, לפחות היו 2 שמיכות ושתי מגבות. א ב ל - ללא מים חמים כלל, ללא אינטרנט (ינסו לתקן) ואי יכולת להטעין פלפון. השקע פלט את המטען כל הזמן. ואין אם מי לדבר

There was only a sign saying "Reception" with a drawing of a genital organ and an arrow pointing to the basement where the trash is. We searched for the administrator for a long time, and when we found him, he didn't know we were supposed to arrive and kept calling and checking things out. They gave us rooms and we checked in. That evening, there was a concert on their first floor and the music played until 4 a.m., making it impossible to sleep, and they have this every day off. There was no access to hot water. The neighbors were smoking in the rooms, and the room stank. To give us the keys, we also had to look for the administrator, who was in a cafe across the street.

• zoe (1/5): Absolute Disaster – Worst Hotel Ever, Stay Away! - The river. This so-called “hotel” is a complete disgrace. From the moment we arrived, everything went wrong, and it only got worse. Noise: Impossible to sleep. The windows have ZERO insulation, and the hotel blasted music for a party until 1:00 a.m. My kids were in tears the whole night. When I begged the manager to do something, he shrugged and said it had to go on. What kind of “hospitality” is that? Facilities: An absolute joke. No air conditioning (yes, it was listed, but it’s 2025 — it should be standard). The pillows are massive, like boulders — impossible to use. No kettle, no coffee, no tea, not even bottled water. Four outlets, none by the bed. This isn’t “basic,” it’s pathetic. Bathroom: A nightmare. The shower water was either freezing cold or scalding hot — the ancient mixer tap doesn’t work at all, so forget about having a proper shower. To make it worse, there’s only a flimsy curtain, so the moment you shower, you flood the entire bathroom. Absolutely unacceptable. Cleanliness: Revolting. Hair and insects on the floor, grime everywhere, doors that don’t even shut properly. The whole place looks like it hasn’t been touched in decades — everything is old, broken, and filthy. Lighting: One sad bulb dangling in the middle of the room. The stairs are just as bad — barely lit, borderline dangerous. Accessibility: No elevator. I had to haul all our luggage and baby gear up two flights of stairs. We even requested a baby bed when booking, only to be told the day before arrival: “We don’t provide one.” So we had to bring our own. Management: The single worst part. Rude, dismissive, and absolutely useless. We complained about the unbearable noise, and the manager flat out told us he couldn’t and wouldn’t do anything. That’s the level of “service” here. We left more exhausted and angry than when we arrived. This was supposed to be a holiday — instead it was a nightmare. This place should be shut down or completely rebuilt from the ground up.

The sound of the river under your balcony worth 5 stars. The administrator provided us with everything that we needed. Everything was good, however without AC it was a bit hot.
