Jackson (10/5): This is truly a 1st class vacation property! - This property is located in an established residential neighborhood between Sosua and Cabarete, and includes 24 hour gated security at the entrance, plus an additional electric gate to access the unit itself. The house is modern, spacious and well appointed. The landscaping was lush and well maintained. We enjoyed the private swimming pool and the large covered patio. The gas grill was an extra bonus. Check in was easy as the owner lives nearby. Very conveniently, inside the security gate there is an Italian restaurant with good pizza, a mini-market, and a small bar that also sold bags of ice. In addition, a short walk (approximately 200 meters) from the property brings you to the beach, which includes a small eco-hotel and a great little seaside restaurant. Try the tortilla chips with guacamole and shrimps. A portable electric fan would have been a welcomed addition.
