- Will Shipp (1/5): Nice place poorly managed and poorly run. - The location and setting was very nice Had to walk a Kilometre to get the keys from a lockbox REDICULOUS!! The phone helpdesk had no idea what they were doing and they did not refund the security funds because we refused to return the keys to lockbox that is located in a foodmart that was not open when we left for the airport. THIS IS A GLORIFIED B&B THAT IS LISTED ON BOOKING.COM with Hotels and isnt one. AVOID if you don't want hassles on your holiday!!
- Alasdair (1/5): All in all, this place is a dump and should be avoided. - We unsuccessfully sought a refund from this booking as we were unable to stay there because it was unclean and the furniture was in part decrepit, more details below.
On entering the apartment, it was immediately evident that the sofa upholstery was badly soiled. There was recent heavy grease on the cook top, oven door and the bottom edged handles of the kitchen wall cupboard. All glass surfaces and mirrors throughout showed smears, fingerprints, stains and water marks.
The lounge sofa was old and badly soiled with several stains. A soft chair in the main room covered in leatherette was extensively torn on the seat and arms.
There was a strange blob with drip marks on the bathroom wall plus a filthy toilet brush and holder.
The laundry floor was covered in fluff from the dryer.
The balcony had not been cleaned and there was cigarette ash on the furniture.
When we complained by sending photos and asked for the place to be properly cleaned, management responded by saying that the photos previously submitted by their cleaners showed the place to be clean. Essentially, they ignored our photos and declined to come and inspect the property for themselves.
We vacated the premises once we understood there would be no further cleaning.
We returned the key the next morning as they only advised us where to leave it late at night.
As a general comment, when we took over the apartment, the management merely handed over the key on the pavement outside the building; we were not taken into the apartment and shown around. Considering that we had been required to pay for the apartment in full ‘up front’ and underwent an extensive proof of identity process in order to secure the apartment, we feel that the whole experience was unprofessional and shameful.
This apartment is in a building refurbished about 10 years ago with good appliances in the kitchen; however. the soiled sofa and ripped easy chair in the sitting room looked as though they came off a rubbish tip.
