• Carol (10/5): Nice homely place close to central Venice - It was very nice and felt like living in a home. Well-equipped and comfortable. A lot of difficulty trying to find the place and you must have mobile data to communicate with the host to find the place. Quite a few stairs to reach the floor you are staying on.

• Armen Chatyan (10/5): - Gave us emotions of leaving in authentic medieval house. Clean, comfortable well equipped apartment. Hospitable host. Beautiful view to the canal. There are a lot of stairs to the third floor, if one has a big suitcase it will be very difficult to take it up.

Für die Gastgeberin war es kein Problem, dass wir am nächsten Tag über die Check-out-Zeit hinaus geblieben sind. Das haben wir sehr geschätzt, vielen Dank! Leider haben uns nachts wollene Decken zum Zudecken gefehlt 🙂
• Novakova (9/5): Definitely recommend without hesitation. If we go back to Venice we will definitely stay there again - The location is amazing, in city centre. Apartment was very nice, everything was there and very comfortable. Host is a very nice and pleasant lady who showed us around and allowed us to keep our luggage after check out in her ice cream shop. Very good and easy communication with her. There’s nothing really to complain about- maybe just a little thing but easily mendable- the cooker - the ignition was constantly making noise after usage- stuck button - and then alarm above the fridge beeped for some time. Also one part of the apartment is colder than the other but all in all in was very nice and cosy place to stay in.

• eva (1/5): Bad bad bad all the stay - Nothing The host was late to give us the keys, and there were tooooo many steps to ho to the appartement and so hard and difficult with the luggage, the ac was not working, she brings us a fan, in the second room we couldn’t sleep because of the bad smell. No hot water at night, and the coffee machine didn’t work. Bad bad experience. I reserved with booking since more than 15 years and neverr the rating was not satisfiying. Exceptional rate for this app is not correct. Maximum good (8) it should be. We didn’t sleep all night long Bad bad experience

• VILLAVERDE (9/5): Plenty of Space for a family of 5. Comfortable & charming. - The unit was well furnished with everything you need and more. Washer in one of the bathrooms was helpful. Location was great away from the madness of most the tourist spots. Great local eats like Trattoria da Denis for amazing food and service. Gondolas pass outside the window in a quiet neighborhood. Great staff! Very informative and helpful. No elevators, but to be expected in an ancient city so your 50-pounder suitcases will take some time getting to the unit. Mosquitoes were prevalent everywhere in Italy during that time, more in Venice. Book a water taxi on the way in as it’s a bit of a hike from the Train Station. It’s a struggle to walk getting there with all the bridges to traverse. That in itself was an adventure in the blistering hot weather.

It was a bit rough to carry the luggages up 3 flights of stairs but I understand for a great 3rd floor view there are no other options.

They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The view from the window was an added bonus! The location couldn’t have been better, with great restaurants and local shops just a short walk away, and major attractions only a few minutes by walk.I felt like I was right in the heart of everything! The tip for storing luggage after check out w - We did not have breakfast, but there was coffee and two bug bottles of water which was very considerate. The location is perfect, really gives a taste old Venice. Even google did not find it. Only one small remark: if one’s husband is nearlly 2 m tall, the beds might be a bit short.

The apartments themselves are very cozy, clean and well furnished. I especially liked that there was everything necessary for a comfortable rest. Melissa was very hospitable. We recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay in the heart of Venice.
• Veronica (10/5): Exceptional - The flat is in a beautiful building in a very quiet area, despite the very central location. It is very well equipped and plenty of character. The house has every comfort, it is super clean, and Melissa is the perfect host. If I have to find a suggestion for improvement, I would say to use high-quality cotton bedding. Such a beautiful place deserves 5 star hotel sheets.

• Rachna (4/5): Disappointing - The location was an easy walk to everything, including food, sights, and vaporettos. There is a washing machine in the unit and basic toiletries are provided. It is a secure building in a quiet area. We started our stay with barely functioning AC. There were three units in the property (each bedroom and kitchen). Only one worked and you couldn't run multiple units together for fear of overloading the system. With three young kids and it being 90F outside, lack of AC was an issue. Also, the WiFi only worked in one bedroom. Once you left, the WiFi dropped. We made it work, but it was inconvenient. When I messaged the host about the WiFI, she stated that they had an amplifier, but they never replaced it. They should remove the TV from the second bedroom as it is useless without WiFi. Upon expressing my frustration with the amenities, her response was the following: "Mi spiace ….. e ti ringrazio di avermi espresso la tua opinione Ma si tratta pur sempre di opinioni ed esperienze personali ….forse ci siamo incontrati nel momento sbagliato…." I had to use Google translate to understand what she said (up until that point our conversations were all in English). Perhaps something was lost in translation, but I found it to be a poor response as a host. For those that also need a translation, it was the following: "I'm sorry... and I thank you for expressing your opinion to me. But these are still personal opinions and experiences... maybe we met at the wrong time..." Other issues noted, but manageable were: - a lot of steps to access unit (this was the norm at most places we stayed) - clogged bathroom sink - faulty appliances - leak in kitchen

• Moraima (10/5): Impeccably clean and well-located apartment with thoughtful amenities and a welcoming host - This apartment was an outstanding choice for our stay. Perfectly located, it was within walking distance of all the sights we wanted to explore and offered a lovely canal view. The convenience of having two bathrooms was a real bonus. Despite our late arrival due to a flight delay, the host kindly waited for us and even brought two large bottles of water, which were a lifesaver since everything had closed for the night. The apartment was impeccably clean, and the host provided thoughtful essentials like hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo. The air conditioner worked perfectly, keeping us cool throughout our stay. It's worth noting that the apartment is on the third floor without an elevator, but this added a bit of exercise to balance out all the delicious food we enjoyed in the city. We always felt safe, and the area was pleasantly quiet. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The apartment was huge, very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Thank you for a friendly welcome, the coffee and water as well as recommendations ( the seafood restaurant was amazing) and all advice shared. A true gem and very happy we booked. Just wish we had more time! Hope to return:) Nothing as all was amazing and the host is so nice and helpful. Just make sure you are with a few levels of stairs.

Independently of the room we slept in after each night we had more and more bite marks on our faces and arms. We confirmed the origin of the marks at a doctor after coming back home and let know (including sending our photos) the host of the apartment. She did not proposed any compensation. There was a problem with an equipment warming up water.

• Jan (10/5): Lovely, quiet and clean apartment near the heart of Venice that is worth the visit - Lovely place in a quiet part of Venice which was at the same time surprisingly close to the main sights one wants to visit. Perfectly equipped kitchen as well as two bathrooms were the cherry on top which made this apartment very comfortable. English speaking host was also a big plus, as it is far from granted in Italy. The only minor downside was the check-in. Despite following the guidance, we had to adjust our schedule by an hour to meet the host. An unfortunate coincidence, caused by more people checking in at the same time at different places. While I understand and appreciate the difficult situation, travelling with two kids made this adjustment a bit difficult for us.
• Heidi (9/5): Great apartment on the canal in a great location - This was a great, comfortable apartment in a really great location. The view from the bedroom overlooking the canal was amazing and its situated within 5-15 minutes walk to Ferry's, San Marco Square and other landmarks. There are lots of eating and shopping options within a 1-2 minute walk. Everything was clean and well presented and the hosts ice cream shop is definitely worth visiting! The best we had in Venice. Special mention that she also stayed up until midnight to greet us due to some unexpected delays in our arrival. There was also Netflux for the kids to watch movies at night and coffee machine for mum and dad!! Highly recommend. The only downfall was the 3 flights of stairs with kids at the end of a big day. Was easily overlooked though due to how great everything was. We also had the garbage collectors buzz the apartment every morning we were there although I think that could have been purely because they couldn't get a hold of any other apartment!!

Perfect for a family as there are two bathrooms in the apartment. There wasn’t any extra bedding for the third child who slept on the fold down bed. I’m sure if we had asked, it could have been arranged, but it was strange that it wasn’t there as the booking was for five people.

I recommend her properties ( she has 2) to ENYONE. We felt like home! And - you have to visit her Gelateria -" Gelato Fantasy" - the BEST gelato I have ever tasted anywhere! We could bring less luggage! But I can't hardly blame the host or anyone else fo this, but myself! Venice= pack lite! its all up and down in this city!

• Gibbs (10/5): One night in Venice - Personally greeted by Melissa who showed us around the apartment, told us the history about the building we were in, and brought us bottled water and prosecco to enjoy! The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything for a family to comfortably stay longer. We needed to store luggage the following day while we did some sight seeing and Melissa told we could store it at her amazing ice cream store... Gelato Fantasy, which we did, and we all got a free icecream! The apartment is in a great location, and we would definitely stay again. Locating the building was not too clear as there was no door number. When we called Melissa, it took her around 10 minutes to get to us and let us in. So we'd advise you to call Melissa to arrange to meet her when you are getting close.
