Guest Reviews
- Kay (10/5): A beautiful bushland getaway. - The villa is in a beautiful bushland location. It is simply furnished and compact but with everything needed for a quiet escape for a few days. We enjoyed the comfy bed, the walks around the resort with the creek, small lake, wildlife and birdlife, evenings at sunset near the pool with a cappuccino from Flametrees Restaurant onsite, and a takeaway pizza from next to Reception for dinner.
Despite being on the main road into Cowes, which has good shopping facilities and a beachfront, there is no traffic noise at all. The Ramada Resort is situated in an oasis of Australian bushland.
The owner’s communication was very good and respectful. Only two small things that we didn’t like - the vacant villa behind us had left its bright outdoor lights on 24/7, which shone into The Point Villa at night (even through our curtains). This is obviously NOT The Point Villa’s owner’s fault. And, secondly, the full oven in the villa was not available for cooking. A small portable bench top oven was supplied instead which is adequate for reheating, but not as good for other baking if you like to do your own cooking, as we do.

- Rubi (9/5): - Good location, clean, very responsive and flexible host.

- John (9/5): Suited our needs, convenient - Good location, had all the amenities. Suited our needs with a 1 night stay No sugar!! Had some difficulty locking the villa when leaving.

- Shirley (10/5): - It was lovely and clean. Fully equiped with every thing you need on hand. Tom your person to go to, even though on the phone, was totally on hand to help with any little problems you might have. Thank you Tom you were excellent

- Richard (10/5): Great location, clean and comfortable! - Clean and comfortable little cottage. In a very quiet location with lots of different birds roaming around. Close to the penguin parade. Host was quick to respond. Definitely would stay here again.
- Jan (9/5): Fijn, ruim verblijf met alle faciliteiten - Ruime accommodatie met alle benodigde faciliteiten Eerste toegang met code was de eerste keer een beetje lastig
- Brigitte (10/5): -
- Gabriele (9/5): - We stayed here for a week and enjoyed it very much. The villa is set in a lovely bush environment as part of the resort. There is access to all resort facilities, however we didn't use any of them, so can't comment on those. We were provided with all necessary information by the host prior to our arrival and check-in was easy with the door code. No problems with internet access. The kitchen is well equipped with a good size fridge/freezer, a gas stove, microwave, small toaster oven and dishwasher. Crockery is basic but sufficient. We wanted to mainly cater for ourselves and this was a big plus for us. The main road in Cowes is only a few minutes away with Coles, Woolies and Aldi basically next to each other and heaps of cafes and restaurants to choose from. The weather was perfect most days and we spent our time exploring Phillip Island on lots of beautiful walks. On the one rainy day we spent our time at the villa just relaxing, reading and watching TV. We wouldn't hesitate to come back here for another stay. It's a pity that the oven doesn't work. For longer stays 1 teatowel and 1 thin dishcloth isn't quite enough. The screen door to the back verandah is quite difficult to slide and could do with some TLC.

- YAYU (6/5): The location is great, only a 15-minute drive from the Penguin Parade. However, for 180 AUD a night, it was disappointin - Perfect location for the Penguin Parade! Only a 10-15 min drive away. It's the best option for summer trips, allowing you to get back and rest immediately after the show. For over 180 AUD a night, the lack of basic toiletries like shampoo and conditioner was disappointing. Additionally, even though it gets extremely cold at night on the island, there was no heating provided
- Shriya (9/5): -
- John (9/5): - Close to attractions
Got in late and left early
Would stay again

- Manei (9/5): Very comfortable and Tom was quick to answer questions and emails. We could check in at 2 pm instead of 4. - It was central, clean and was spacious. Laundry facilities were good even though it was a short walk to the laundry. Wifi didn’t work at all☹️. More crockery would be nice and a box of tissues would have come in handy.

- Najeeb (10/5): -
- DenG (10/5): -
- Carlo (9/5): Has what you need for a short stay. Close to the Cowes city centre - Location was good and the studio unit had a kitchen and other facilities. Mostly alright. Not sure if the aircon was cooling down the place but at least the fan was there
- jiajing (10/5): Lovely - I love that it is clean and cozy. The kitten is well equipped and that we were able to to park our car right infront of the Airbnb Nothing
- Brigitte (10/5): I love this little stay, it’s perfect cozy and the location is 10/10, I’ll be staying here again - this villa is perfect for a couple, or just for a night away with your child, I’ve stayed here with both my kids as a little birthday surprise and it is perfect, the spa bath was a huge hit, and the property this is located you see some very cute wildlife
- Julia (6/5): Pleasant enough. - The villa is close to all the facilities of the resort, and also to Cowes. The floor needed a good vacuum and wash. We moved the chairs to watch the tv and there was dust at the bottom of the bed, and spill stains under the table.
And the microwave didn’t work which was annoying as we had food to heat up
- Lynn (9/5): - We received all the information needed for our stay, prior to arriving. All instructions and information about accessing the Unit, the unit itself & surrounding area excceeded our expectations. Great location and the hosts covered everything and more.
- Stefan (10/5): Was excellent, would definitely book again. - It was perfect, has everything you need for a short stay. Nothing.
- Ashlee (8/5): -
- Courtney (5/5): Absolutely no wifi even after resetting the router, hot water kept switching off, and they didn’t have enough soap left -
- sarah (8/5): -
- Linda (8/5): -
- Rachel (7/5): Disappointing - Great location and theoretically provided everything we needed. Great communication with the owner although he was unable to help with the problems we experienced. This was marketed as a luxury villa but unfortunately did not come up to expectations.
The WiFi did not work, we contacted the owner but he was unable to help.
The microwave was unfortunately also not working which caused a problem as we'd bought quick meals to reheat after a long day. Again the owner was responsive but unable to help.
The general feel of the villa was quite tired and run down; two of the lights weren't working and the towels and duvet cover both had grey stains on them.
There were no instructions anywhere so we struggled to get the heating to work.
Overall we felt that there were too many issues to allow us to leave with a positive overall impression of the villa, and the marketing blurb does not really reflect the condition it is in.
- Richard (8/5): Great spot. - Close to Cowes, nice setting Bathroom needs renovation
- Frederic (5/5): - Location Unclean cups, utensils, trays and toilet
Bed smelled stale and funky
No wifi at all
- Robert (9/5): Only stayed for one night during Motogp weekend. Great location and nice little stay 😀 - Great location and only 5mins from Cowes.
Having our own little space with the cabin style was great and will definitely do again! We had a few issues with the door lock code but we got there eventually. Bigger TV and more user friendly would be nice.
- Richard (10/5): -
- Chenuly (8/5): Comfortable cabin in the heart of Cowes - Lovely little cabin, only 5 minutes away from the main streets of Cowes, and located in the centre of the island. Perfect for two people, and being able to use the hotel facilities was definitely a plus (close to the pool and restaurant too!). Kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfy. Lots of little games and streaming options to keep you occupied. Few minor issues, but easily fixable.
•The room and bathroom didn't feel as clean as it could be, but still acceptable
•The internet was down the whole stay and was a bit of a bother.
•The AC didn't cool down the room as much as we expected.
•We loved the spa bath, but the rubber on the plug was worn and flimsy, and the water kept draining.
•Was left an almost empty bottle of shower gel (which only lasted the both of us 1 wash each), and no shampoo/ conditioner (being so close to the beach, it would've been great to have them)- had to pop into Coles to get all that.
•The main big oven doesn't work, but there is a smaller one that worked fine.
- Daniel (6/5): Schön, naturnah, leider nicht ganz sauber. - Schöne, gemütliche Unterkunft. Heizung hat nicht richtig funktioniert.
Warmwasser ging nicht.
Bett war sauber, alles andere eher nicht. Auch sehr staubig.

- Zoe (8/5): Great little Villa! - Great location, nice, simple, neat, everything we needed for a short stay. Took a while for us to sort out the wifi, but with a bit of help from the owner of the villa and a bit of time, it started to work. Not a huge deal for us to go without wifi, but certainly helpful to have!
- ZHIYUN (10/5): Comfortable Staying -
- Karen (8/5): Very good - A great location, reasonable price. Clean and comfortable. ALL GOOD
- Lynne (10/5): Hidden Gem - Excellent! Clean and comfortable I had everything I needed. Great responsive communication with the owner, the facilities location were perfect. Leaving...will definitely stay here again

- Rowlands (9/5): Superb -
- Gill (10/5): Exceptional - It was one of the best properties I have ever stayed in, so comfortable and cozy
- Roy (9/5): Superb - It was a very cozy cabin with everything that you would need! The smart door lock was secure and easy to use. It was nice being able to walk around the sight and use all of the camping facilities and be a short drive from Cowes shops!
- De (10/5): Exceptional - It was really nicly decorated and clean. Would 100% stay here again.
- Aquilina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shannon (9/5): Superb - Nice little villa within a resort, great facilities - perfect if you want to cook your own meals. Very comfortable bed, spacious room. Location is good and you can use resort facilities which is a nice perk.
- Hon (8/5): Very good - Kitchen facilities No heating in bathroom
- Christian (10/5): Great little cabin - Nice and clean. Had everything you'd need for a short stay. Close to the restaurant and amenities. No dislikes
- Redoña (8/5): Very good -
- Elysee (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Mal (5/5): Passable - The location was very hard to find I swept the floor after we left. When found the broom it was very dusty. There was a plastic bag sticking out from underneath the bed with something in it.We didn't use the kettle etc.we noticed that in the booklet we would be charged if we didn't tidy up after ourselves. Its a very small unit for a cleaner to clean ,plus wash dishes etc instead of guest.Im a house we keeper in my employment & I clean everything.
- Wasurat (9/5): Superb -
- Wayne (10/5): Nice getaway - Location was good the cabin was nice and clean and enough for two people and had everything I needed The only thing that I probably didn't like was the four o'clock check-in
- Dhungana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (9/5): A wonderful base from which to explore. - Everything was great, apart from the internet didn’t work.
- Natalie (5/5): Passable - Entry to property we were unable to enter till 4pm. The entry door is out in the open trying to enter your code whilst the heavens open up is not ideal.Thd drive way parking area is a small white stone the unit became full of the material as there is no cover over the door area to remove your shoes as you are being drowned with rain,
- Darius (8/5): Decent stay in Phillip Island - Pros :
- Room was good for 2 of us.
- Had a good hot shower and a very comfortable sleep.
- Dishwasher
- Salt, Pepper, Pots & Pans
- Board games
- Amazon Firestick
Cons :
- Wifi was down the entire night. Owner only texted back with a possible solution when I was already asleep at 12am.
- Floor did not feel the cleanest, but still acceptable.
- There was no sponge for washing dishes, but there is a dishwasher.
- Only an all-in-1 body & head soap
- Ewa (5/5): Passable -
- Grace (8/5): Overall we loved staying in the villa and would definitely recommend others stay here as well, it is a comfortable place - The room was perfect for the two of us, we loved how close it was to the pool and restaurant at the resort. The location was also close to town and the wildlife park which we found to be really convenient. The room was clean and tidy and we found the kitchen to be sufficiently stocked with what we needed to cook our meals. We also loved the exploding kittens game!!! There were a couple of minor things we felt could be improved. The air con didn’t cool down the room as much as we thought it would. Also we were only given one tea towel and one set of bathroom towels each, which for a 5 night stay was not sufficient, thankfully we brought our own towels as well. Although we loved the spa, the plug was very flimsy and our spa bath would often drain of water which was a bit of a nuisance.
- Pornkanok (7/5): Good -
- Christina (6/5): Good location, just a few minor issues. - Property was in a great location for us to explore the island and surrounds.
Park was mostly quiet and resort staff we interacted with were helpful. We had issues with trying to lock the door when leaving. Just entering the code as per instructions did not seem to lock the the door.
I understand the attempt to be as eco friendly as possible, however, two towels between both guests for a three night stay was not really adequate. Also, the place could use a deep clean as there was scum and dirt around base of shower and skirting boards.
We could not locate an access code for the guest laundry. We ended up trying the code on the resort website which also did not work, and just luckily were spotted by a friendly resort staff member who shared the correct code so we could use the facilities.
Might I suggest a bin be placed in the bathroom as needing to place bathroom rubbish in kitchen bin is not particularly hygienic. Also, some spare bin bags would be helpful.
- Law (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (7/5): Apart from a few niggles, it was a comfortable place to stay. - Loved the location.
Loved the sound of birds.
Loved that there was a fan and an aircon.
Had a couple of possums wrestling under the cottage at one point, which was funny (I know the owner didn't arrange that, but the free entertainment was appreciated anyway).
Loved the games that were provided (Exploding kitties - hilarious).
Thank you for having a quiet fridge - some places we have stayed (studio setup) have noisy fridges running at night.
Although we didn't use the facilities it was great that the Ramamda pools, gym, etc..... were available to guests at Point Villa.
The villa would have been comfortable for a longer stay. Communication with Booking.com was poor. We were expecting an email which didn't arrive. We got the access code directly from the property owner.
Having an access code was fine but having a push button mechanism attached to the wall was confusing as we were trying to get in using that as per the instructions without realising that the code was to be entered via the door handle itself. We couldn't see the numbers after pressing the first button because the sun was so bright, so assumed the key mechanism on the wall was the access point. Eventually we worked out that the keypad was on the handle itself. And the instructions didn't help. They need to be clearer. When you're presented with a keypad on a wall, that is the first place anyone would look.
Also, the bathroom soap dispenser was empty. If you're going to provide one, it should be filled before a guest arrives.
You might want to give the bathroom ceiling fan a bit of a clean/dust.
Finally, if an oven is provided, then it should be functional - not have an out of order sticker on it.
Overall, our stay was fine - just wanted to provide some feedback. If I owned the villa I would want to know about these things.
- Chuenchonnanee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandy (9/5): Helpful owner, clean place in a lovely neighborhood. - Location AWESOME. Tom was great to work with. He even left us a bottle of Australian wine, our 1st! Very helpful. Of course we'd return, tho it's taken us 60+ years to get to AU so.... not likely. :)
Thank you Tom for all your courtesy. Come over t the States and we will let you use our AirBnB in Oregon or Arizona. Well... NOTHING Tom could do about it, since it was due to the weather, but our internet went out and we were unaware that the full-sized oven was not operable, tho a large toaster oven did the job. No worries.
- Magdalena (5/5): for us it was okay for one night stay but would not like to stay for longer. - Location is good.
quick response on questions via Whatsapp
easy access to house. Not really clean - dust on most survaces.
late check in time (4pm)
open windows lead to some insects inside
rather expensive for what you get.
- Leigh (7/5): Good - Cosy little place The aircon needs maintenance or replacing it didn’t really cool.
- Kate (6/5): Pleasant - It was quiet at night. Very clean and a comfy bed It was advertised as a 1 bed villa - this is not - it’s a studio with the bed looking directly at the kitchen units
Also advertised as having a washing machine - no it doesn’t.
- Khodor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jillian (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Lei (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (10/5): Peaceful and family friendly. - Loved the location and the amenities. It was family friendly so fit perfectly for myself and my daughter. Loved that there were lots of instructions and recommendations given. Would love a bigger TV that is easier to use
- Cindy (9/5): Superb -
- Kathleen (8/5): Very good - Location was great, easy to drive in and out of the resort. Access to resort facilities was a plus. We enjoyed happy hour and the restaurant meals. Staff were welcoming. Birdlife and wildlife were strolling around the grounds, which was nice. The shower was "hot' and bed 'very comfortable'. There wasnt anything we disliked. We were surprised there were no toiletries in the bathroom or a dishcloth for the kitchen.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - Great location fabulous facilities private villa Fly door needed fixing and curtain hanging on floor made them grubby
- Katherine (9/5): Superb - Very well set up
Excellent value for money
- Sam2727 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): Will comeback! - The value for money was next level. The smell was so lovely. Communication was also great Nothing everything was great.
- Alan (9/5): Good base for visiting Phillip Island - Good value and very quiet bushland setting
- Lynette (7/5): Single bedroom cabin with parking out front would be good in summer. - Neat clean cabins as in the photos, comfortable warm bed and we used the extra blanket supplied. Close to the things we wanted to see and do on Phillip Island. Nice hot showers. The heater did not work. The room was icy cold on our first night. The host tried to help us by text message but the heater did not comply. The AC would only blow cold air so we turned it off and just snuggled under the bedcovers with the extra blanket and wore socks. A small benchtop oven was supplied as the built in oven was out of order. The benchtop oven could warm our pizza slices up. There is no microwave. There are minimum cups and cutlery. We could not access the TV as it needed a Wi-Fi connection and you had to log in to Amazon, and we did not want to do that.
- Garry (8/5): Great weekend, quiet, enjoyable location - Great location and environment. Few issues, owner sorting out with heater and TV.
- Ella (10/5): Absolutely wonderful stay! - Really lovely little cabin. It’s in a great spot, very close to the main streets of Cowes with plenty of activities to do on the property! It’s a perfect size for 2 people! We will definitely be back! Nothing, it was all perfect!
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable and clean. Great location and friendly service.
- Catriona (8/5): Was an amazing stay with great value for the money! - It was beautiful, clean, comfy and had everything we needed The air con/heater on the wall only blew out cold air (even on 30° setting) and the other heater was really confusing to operate, so our first night was very cold.
