• Niamh (10/5): A great place to stay for a trip to Venice with everything you would need for a weekend stay! - Great location. Clean. Comfortable bed. Modern room. Good air con & heating. Hot shower. The pictures were slight deceiving as we thought there would be a kitchenette in the room. But we think there were 2 property’s in this building and potentially the other room had the kitchenette? The safe also didn’t work in our room.

• Akiko (9/5): - The host was exceptionally kind, offered plenty of helpful information, and communication was always smooth, which made us feel very comfortable and well looked after. The location was perfect for sightseeing, and the room was very clean and well maintained. It may be related to the structural design of the building, but perhaps because our room was on the ground floor, we occasionally noticed a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Also, with two large suitcases, it was difficult to find enough space to open them comfortably, and the room felt smaller than we expected.

The location was great for exploring Venice, right in Cannaregio, one of my favorite districts in the city. The host was very kind and helpful, always quick to answer any questions. We especially appreciated the small details and the clear instructions for everything. It’s also very comfortable for families with kids - quiet, and safe. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Venice! 🏴‍☠️

• Owen (6/5): **overpriced on booking.com** - Great location, clean and modern room, friendly and helpful host. • I could have booked the same room for 80 euros cheaper through the official covo del pirata website. • The listing is misleading it shows pictures of the apartment (edward) room when your actually booking the smaller (jack) room. • The air conditioning stopped working at 3am causing a hot and restless night (it was resolved in the morning by the helpful host).

Simone was great to communicate with. Made sure I got in to the room okay, and was easily reachable if I needed anything! Even let me stay a little after checkout which was an absolute treat to have a sleep in!

• Maxim (9/5): Great choice in the heart of Venice - Great location close to the train station (10 mins walk) and boat station Guglie (5 mins walk). A lot of great restaurants nearby. Very clean, well equipped, and quiet. Simple and clear instructions on checking in and out. A bit stuffy - one needs to always open windows to ventilate (could be cold in the night). Apartment is located at the ground floor, and windows look in the inner space. So there’s not enough natural light, but it’s a minor minus especially if one only stays a couple of days and don’t spend all the time in the apartment.

The host, Simone, was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to take care of our every need. The property was spotless, and it was clear that a lot of care is put into maintaining it. Simone was always quick to respond to any questions we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Covo del Pirata for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
• Moledka (10/5): A memorable stay! - We booked the smaller room but got a free upgrade to the apartment, which was great. The apartment was spacious and modern, with excellent facilities and amenities. The bedroom was comfy and quiet; there was a big wardrobe for clothes, a kitchen, a big table and a sofa with a big-screen smart TV. The host was super helpful as we encountered a few inconveniences (that weren't the host's fault), and he immediately provided a good solution. The location is amazing. It's in the heart of the Cannaregio district, close to the central station, and walkable everywhere. We'll be back! We faced some unexpected events, but the host was accessible anytime and ready to provide a good solution.

We booked both together for our family and parents travelling together. Short walk from station. Kitchenette in the larger apartment. No microwave but electric jug and induction stovetop provide. Smart locks for check-in. Needs internet access or code provided. Worked well and convenient, but might be confusing for a first time user. Nil

• Ronald (10/5): Wonderful property walking distance from the train station. - The property is a short walk from the train station, which was great for us because we had a lot of heavy luggage. It’s near a couple of groceries. The furnishings are still new. The kitchenette is small but adequate. Being so near the train station means it will be far (~30mins on foot or waterbus ) from the main attractions like St Mark’s but I think the other conveniences are an okay compromise.

Tucked away in a less touristy part of the city (my new favorite area), but still close to everything! - a great local feel - great authentic dining options nearby - a WONDERFUL host Simone who goes above and beyond. He provided recommendations for many things - dining, where to watch tennis, transportation, etc., etc. etc. exceeded my expectations. And the units are clean, modern and quiet. A/C, which is a must in summer, local shops outside the door, ground level so no up and down w/ bags. The canal with the best sunset in Venice is 1/2 a block away!!! Missing the experience already!!! I will be back!!!! Ciao and Grazie!!!!! nothing, everything was perfect!!!

It was few steps away from shops and restaurants but at the same time it was very quiet. Short distance from 2 water bus stops. We could leave the bags before check in and after check out which was very helpful. Very clean and comfy. It was a bit dark inside but not a big issue.
