Guest Reviews
- Kristofer (8/5): - It was very chic and easy access to everything. The location was a little sketchy but overall felt safe.
- Charles (5/5): A 21st Century Hotel with a virtual assistant who's still learning - The Rover is not a bandb (no breakfast). It's one of those virtual hotels without a staff except a maid in the morning who will make up your room and show you how to close the black out curtain in your room, which, like everything else in the place, is controlled by wireless wi-fi buttons you'll never find unless you're a computer wizz. It took me aboiut 45 minutes to finally get the code that let me in the front door after signing my life away (they assume you're a criminal who's come to steal whatever what you don't destroy). This is really a real estate play in Little Havana that's gentrifying and becoming chic. No staff.

- Michelle (10/5): Excellent and refreshing! - We selected The Rover after an extremely stressful travel day with cancelled flights. Immediately we felt better upon arrival. So convenient and had everything we needed! Everything is top of the line. The property even let us have a late checkout due to a late flight the next day. I can’t recommend enough! There’s not a single thing I didn’t like!

- Zach (9/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): Amazing location, intimate facility and clean! - The location is a quick ride from the airport, very accessible to Miami Beach and continently located to restaurants and shops!

- Evgeny (10/5): A genuinely premium experience — I would absolutely stay here again. - An outstanding stay from start to finish. The high ceilings and refined interior design create a sophisticated, contemporary atmosphere. The shared lounge area with a coffee corner and outdoor patio is beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing.
The suite itself was immaculate — ultra-clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The enormous shower, electric shades, and high-quality bed linens added a true five-star hotel feel. Parking right in front of the building was very convenient, and the host was exceptionally responsive and professional.
A genuinely premium experience — I would absolutely stay here again.
- THUY (7/5): Fantastic location, need ear plugs. - Fantastic location, decent bed, nice bathrooms and lobby. Was able to store luggage after check out. Nice staff (Spanish only, used Google translate). Lacks noise protection. Neighborhood is quiet at night, there are roosters in the morning. Hallways echoes, there's a large gap at the bottom of the entry doors that let in light and noise, we put a towel to muffle some noise. There's a loud 30s tapping (plumbing?) every hour or so, so bring ear plugs. I didn't mind it (heavy sleeper), but my spouse had trouble sleeping. I personally would love to rebook it, but my spouse would not.
- Max (7/5): Lets not give our money to robot hotels - Excellent location near Calle Ocho in the heart of Little Havana. Rooms were well furnished with mid-century modern style and indoor and outdoor common areas were comfortable and inviting. This "hotel" is a "contactless" or, unstaffed, facility. There are two housekeepers during the day who do their best to assist with any issues, but they are there to clean the property. Most things will require a visit to the very basic website, which also doesn't solve most issues. Calling gets an AI chatbot. With enough persistence, you can be directed to leave a voice mail and an off site manager will call you back. They are very good about calling back promptly, but this phone tag will need to be repeated each time.
I rated the staff so low not because there were issues individual staff members. On the contrary, everyone I spoke with was professional and friendly. I gave the staff such a low rating because this company made a financial decision to eliminate human services that can make an ordinary stay unforgettable. Replacing a traditional front desk with technology might seem preferable to some, but eliminating the human element entirely makes for a cold experience if everything goes perfectly and is highly frustrating if even the smallest issue arrises.
Apparently, there are free bicycles for the guests that are in a locked room that is accessed by housekeeping. I asked one of the two cleaners about renting a bike and was directed to the hotel app (website). The website just mentions that the bikes exist, with no instructions on how to check them out. I didn't feel like making more calls, so I just didn't bother. Thankfully, I did not have any serious issues after hours.
Another major issue I had with online check-in is that I was required to scan my ID and biologics (facial recognition). I found this very intrusive and have no way of ensuring the security of the scans. Since I was only asked after I had paid for the reservation, I was forced to surrender personal identification information. I would not have chosen this hotel had i known I would be required to do this. I am fairly easy to please.
- Eva (10/5): Best hotel to stay at ! Great location - Are room was so modern! Love it !
And so comfortable We forgot are photos in the room ! We are so sad ! Memories we can get bad ! My husband retirement photos with family 😢my daughter email ! Hoping to have them returned
- sophia (10/5): happy - quiet nothing
- Angelica (10/5): Beautiful and clean place located in the heart of Calle 8. - The property was beautiful and conveniently located near Calle 8. Loved the nespresso machine in the lobby and great to have a fridge in the room. We stayed on the first floor and every time someone used the faucet upstairs, it made a loud sound like the pipe shaking. It was loud enough to wake us up.
- Andrea (1/5): Nie wieder - Wir hatten 3 Zimmer gebucht inclusive Frühstück.
- Morgane (7/5): -
- Tarleton (4/5): Lovely hotel, but lack of staff meant frustration when automated system doesn’t work. - The hotel itself was lovely, nice decor and comfortable facilities. Friendly and polite staff However due to there being no staff we had an issue with getting our check in code, which meant when dropping bags we had to wait an hour outside the hotel before someone arrived to store them. Then when we returned later on after check in time. However we still hadn’t been issued a check in code, we later found this was due to an issue on the system but again left us trying to call and message to access the building which left us quite furstrated. I was thankful I was with my partner as if I’d been on my own, I’d have felt quite scared waiting outside the property as the location didn’t feel the safest at night although the hotel was very secure once inside.
- Jeffrey (10/5): -

- Ozay (5/5): NO BREAKFAST and no REFUND - Place was nice and clean very modern.
Room keeper could not speak English but she done her best to help us out with her phone translation. This company lucky to have her working there. I have booked this property with breakfast but place doesn’t give breakfast
I have contacted booking also property manager of the place and both side blaming each other and nothing has been sorted and never received my breakfast money back either manager was keep saying he will get it sorted but nothing has been sorted
Booking says they try to contact by phone and email to property but manager says nobody contacted him and he promise to get it sorted but still did not get it sorted before I write a review
I feel like been robbed by false advertising.
This issue has been going on for a while as you can see same complain with other customers also and I don’t understand how they advertise with breakfast and taking your money but no breakfast. I even sent screenshots to confirm it I have paid with breakfast but problem or refund has not been sorted
When you book it make sure somewhere with breakfast served.
- Jessica (10/5): - The location couldn't be better, and the whole place is so thoughtfully and beautifully designed. The decor, furniture and vibe was so zeb abd luxe and stylish. I loved the water/ice filler, candy and the nespresso machines. Staff were so accommodating and nice. The location could not be beat, 2 short blocks to the heart of Calle Ocho! Our small room on the 1st floor was rather loud- air conditioning making clicks and noises etc. And the sharp corner of the low bed frame took out several shins!
- Robert (4/5): Don’t waste your money - The automatic window shade and fancy building designs. On the site, it said breakfast available…when I got there was never breakfast.
When I arrived, I had to constantly call the number and knock in order to get in. Then when I got in, it took 20 minutes to get my room ready when the text said my room would be ready when I get there.
The shower soap bottles were almost empty so I had to shake them to actually get some soap.
Plus. I couldn’t take pictures so I could add to booking.com review cause they prohibited photos.
- Melanie (10/5): -
- Joann (9/5): A sweet little boutique hotel with lots to do nearby! - Property had nice boutique vibe. Best location to access all in Little Havana. No regular person on staff, but check in was easy.
- Rutger (1/5): Walgelijk - Niets. Klantenservice, hygiëne en kwaliteit
- Lawrence (8/5): Little Havana - Furnished well. Comfortable bed. Great location to little Havana short walking distance. If you want to enjoy salsa music and restaurants this is perfect. I could hear people entering or leaving. There was an annoying occasional ticking sound.
- Zipporah (10/5): -
- Sasha (6/5): - Very high tech and clean. Pretty space. Walkable to Starbucks. Easy check in/access process. Small rooms, no continental breakfast as advertised (which was the whole reason we booked this location vs. somewhere closer to where we wanted to be). Also you could hear literally everything happening around you—conversations and creaking from other hotel guests moving around their rooms. I have no idea if the “hotel” is staffed or what but we never saw a soul. It gave Airbnb honestly
- Mark (7/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect hotel to explore the Wynwood area.
Right in the heart of the area.
Since there were other reviews on the topic.
No issues with noise, but you are in Wywood area, and had hot water. You pay a destination fee but give you coupons to Wynwood walls, so the cost is close to the same.
- Laquita (10/5): Highly recommend - Always a great stay overall. We stay here every time we’re in Miami. Great location, staff, clean, and spacious.
Alles is heel proper. Gelegen op een gezellige locatie. Onpersoonlijke aanpak.
- Priscilla (8/5): - Old Havanas restaurant near the hotel, one block. Amazing choice.
- Edey (9/5): Best quality materials. - A few meters behind little Havana, fantastic location.
The rooms are new and the materials have the best quality. The lights and blind control is tactile, without switches. There is no receptionist, but if you have any problem you can ask Jenny, who work as staff, she is very kind and will solve your problems.
- Richard (10/5): - Love it. Will absolutely be back if it becomes available again.
- Misty (10/5): - High tech and all online checkin. Very nice, we walked around the block to ear, felt safe. Wonderful experience.
- Maya (8/5): Great location near Little Havana and comfortable room for a short Miami interlude - The location near Little Havana was excellent; though it was on a residential street that didn't look very upscale, it was perfectly safe for walking around and to Little Havana. The room modern, nice, and was comfortable, if a little bit small. The bathroom was large and well appointed (except for lack of washcloths--see below). Our arrival was marred by not being able to get the front door open with the digikey. After we struggled for quite a while, someone finally let us in. We presumed he was staff, but with limited English, it wasn't very clear. (We did not have any further with the door access or room access after that initial issue). The bathroom did not include any washcloths; I texted AND called the "24-hour help" numbers to request a washcloth; the AI responder said a washcloth would be delivered to our room ASAP, but we never received one. I presume they don't provide them, but then the response should have indicated that. The lack of human interaction was also a problem for breakfast the second morning, when they ran out of spoons. Again I texted the 24-hour help number, and no spoons were ever provided. Some guests were having to eat cereal with forks! They also seem to only have provided a single large carafe of coffee each morning, which quickly ran out, and then you had to switch to the Keurig-style machine, which was not efficient when there were many people in the breakfast room.
- Andrii (10/5): Very nice small and cozy hotel in a good location. - This charming boutique-style hotel offers a cozy experience with limited staff. The few employees we met didn’t speak English, so we relied on a translation app from Spanish, but they remained very friendly. Early check-in was possible, though we recommend using the self check-in option through the provided website to get a door code. The breakfast has a modest selection of hot dishes but is still satisfying, featuring fresh fruit and enough variety to start your day well. Located conveniently next to Little Havana, it’s close to downtown and the airport.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Nice place here!!!
- Diego (10/5): - Excellent place, very clean and modern. Close to all Calle 8 places.
- MARIA (8/5): - The Rover is a lovely hotel, very modern close to the heart of Little Havana. Everything inside is beautifully decorated. However, enjoying your sleep is a problem with the dog next door barking til 11pm and the rooster cockle doodle doing at 4am. Upon arrival I hadn't received the email with the door code and was stuck outside for a few minutes since there's no live person on site to assist with issues, but all was resolved quickly with a phone call. They were kind enough to assist with parking. Not a fan of the neighborhood but it's very close to Calle Ocho.
- Andreina (10/5): Amazing! - Location and service
- Rebecca (6/5): - Very attractive and updated boutique hotel. Very comfortable room. Spacious and clean. Location super convenient to Little Havana. On the surface, it was everything I love about boutique hotels.
The downside (for me) was initially the remote (digital) nature of obtaining/using a digital app for entry. (Hotel does not seem to be staffed full time). I did not feel there were adequate instructions. It was confusing for me, but perhaps not so for others.
The location is ideal for a visit to Little Havana. It felt very safe. Noise was an issue, however. The very very loud music from nearby clubs kept going until 4 am. It kept us up most of the night.
My other disappointment was the included breakfast. We expected a continental breakfast. Nothing elaborate. By the time I came downstairs, however, at just nine am, there was only some fruit and a couple tubs of yougart remaining. The pastry tray was completely empty, with no one in sight to refill. Just disappointing.
- Madonna (9/5): We enjoyed our stay and plan on returning next year. - Loved the location- could walk to restaurants easily. The buffet breakfast was great. Wonderful fresh fruit and coffee. It was difficult to get the entry code. The hotel did not have staff on premise except for the housekeeper. She was extremely helpful.
- Nicole (10/5): - Beautiful little spot in Miami! Everything was clean and staff was super sweet! I had a great time. Thank you!
- Zulema (10/5): - Excelente propiedad, impecable. Rico desayuno incluido. Por supuesto que regresaré.
Muchas gracias a todo su staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Gabriella (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay and loved how there was a balcony in my room .
- Wendy (10/5): - Very nice property. Fences give it considerable privacy. It is not a block from the name drag in Little Havana as a single woman looks like it is just beginning to upgrade. There are homes in the area in repair. The property itself is absolutely lovely. The start of staff very helpful. There’s a lovely breakfast in the morning. Everything is very clean and up-to-date. This is a little oasis and I enjoyed my stay!
- Andreina (10/5): Awesome place ! - Location
- Alexkaizen (8/5): Very good -
- Tessie (8/5): Very good - Quiet location. Centrally located We lost power a few times. Not well instructed in checking in and checking out
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel - The hotel is very nice. The room I stayed in was small, yet comfortable. The bathroom and shower was very nice. The location is great. I wish the parking situation was better or there was an option for offsite. Because on Friday night you will night find anywhere to park.
- Andreina (10/5): Amazing ! - Location and style
- Ana (10/5): - Muy bonito y cerca de todo
- Shania (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andreina (10/5): Amazing - Safety and location
- Melanie (10/5): Really great hotel to explore Little Havanna - Very modern rooms, extremely comfortable bed and good amenities. The staff was super helpful and friendly, especially Yeny, Christian and Marcio. We were able to store our bags and Calle 8 was a 3 minute walk. Overall, we can definitely recommend a stay here.
- Kyle (10/5): - Super easy check-in. Everything was clean and nice. A bit pricy but that’s Miami.
- Rena (2/5): - There is no management on site.
- Lisa (10/5): - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Rover. It looks exactly as pictured and I appreciated all the technological features.
- Carl (10/5): - Very nicely decorated
- Edwin (10/5): - Small boutique hotel located walking distance to Little Havana. New building tucked into the neighborhood. Nice, modern accommodations, using digital technology to register and enter facilities. Staff was very accommodating with storing our luggage for the day before checking in.
- Maryann (6/5): - This is a lovely renovated house made into a modern bed and breakfast facility. I was looking for the flavor of old Miami and this lived up to it. Unfortunately, it is not for older people who may be physically handicapped in that there is no elevator to the second floor and you are required to walk up 20 steps with your luggage to arrive at your room. Nor are there any parking spots for guests to use as those outside are for the staff. This is not disclosed in the advertisement. Otherwise, the stay was delightful.
- Holmes (9/5): Superb -
- Zidan (10/5): - Great stay, friendly staff, good selection on breakfast. Rooms and facilities clean and aesthetically pleasing. Looks like a mansion for yourself. Would definitely recommend. Little Havana has a beautiful culture and vibe about it with local traditions and amazing restaurants nearby.
- Guang (10/5): - Niche hotel in a great location.
- Mario Francisco (10/5): - Gracias
- Shirley (8/5): - The location is convenient
Very close to calle ocho and not far from Brickell. It' a small boutique style hotel lovated in residential area. They don't have elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs on your own. They don't have a real front desk to check in
There's a guy who is there during business hour to help if you need anything. You might not see him while he's there but you can call him. We were there with two kids. But I think this hotel is most suitable for a couple or solo Travelers then people with the kids
- Christine (10/5): Beautiful - Great location, beautiful hotel! We really enjoyed our stay.
- LINDA (10/5): - Clean convenient
- Carrie (10/5): Great location and cool vibe! - Great stay. Convenient location. Really cool hotel with great vibe. Super quiet and great amenities. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay again when in Miami.
- Yorely (10/5): - Muy lindo y moderno. Buena atención a el cliente.
- Fernando A T (10/5): Incrível super bem localizado - Incrível, tudo estava perfeito.
- Margarita (10/5): - What an incredible experience! We had a family event close by stayed at the Rover for a quick weekend. Located within walking distance to Calle 8’s Little Havana. Aside from our family events there was not much need for a car, plenty of restaurants and shops close by. The hotel is tastefully decorated, modern decor with new world timeless pieces. Our room was spacious and comfortable it also had a balcony which we utilized to drink coffee each morning. The continental breakfast was lovely. What made our experience exceptional however was the staff, what an amazing crew! They really go out of their way to ensure your stay is absolutely perfect and any requests you may have are addressed within minutes. To my dear Jenny thank you for taking such great care of me and my family, eres super especial. Highly recommend will definitely be back!
- Katherine (8/5): Very good - Location, decor, breakfast
- Marina (10/5): - Very nice place
- Rembert (10/5): - Great place ! Clean and well maintained. The location is super - close to Calle Ocho ! Check-in remote
- Susan (8/5): - Wonderful location very close to Little Havana but quiet and secluded. Hotel was new very stylish and modern with excellent furniture inside and outside on terrace. Only fault was for such a new property the cleaning needs to be perfect. The outside table had food and drink spills which were not cleaned despite pointing them out to the owner. He should have checked this before leaving. Staff and owner helpful and friendly.
- Norbert (6/5): - No answers on emails once you are checked inn. Bikes are locked, no one to ask. Other questions multiple times not answered via expedia or email. Room itself and hotel is good. But nobody around except cleening staff.
