RYDER (1/5): Worst experience ever. Refund is more than necessary. - My experience at this apartment was extremely disappointing and stressful. The host told me check-in was at 3pm, which was fine, but I never received the key code on time. Despite messaging and calling multiple times, I heard nothing and was left sitting at a café across the road for over an hour after check-in time, not knowing if I’d been scammed. I finally got the code at 4pm with no apology or explanation. On top of that, the $300 refundable “cleaning fee” upon arrival. This charge was said to be charged 7 days before arrival. Since I had already paid a $165 cleaning fee as part of my reservation, this additional payment felt misleading and unreasonable. I was only told I had to pay it an hour before check in, in order to receive the key code, leaving me with no choice. Overall, the lack of communication, surprise fees, and unprofessional handling made this stay one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly advise others to book elsewhere.
