Guest Reviews
- Gina (9/5): We loved the Bank Apartments, stunning building, very comfortable, we would definitely stay again - The house was immaculate and absolutely beutiful. We loved the heritage features in every room and the connections to the history of the building. It was obvious the house is well cared for and that its heritage has been respected.
The location was excellent, right in the middle of town, so it was easy to walk around and check out the many other beautiful heritage buildings.
Everything was provided, the kitchen was very well stocked, parking was available on-site. The host was easily contactable by phone. Our only 'whinge' was about the pillows. While they looked pretty, they were too thick and hard to lie on, very uncomfortable, particularly for any small person, I woke up with a stiff neck. Either a choice of pillows or a softer pillow would be better.
- Janice (10/5): A happy, nostalgic time with comfortable accommodation. - The beautiful old building. Nothing.
- hangglider (10/5): An amazing gem of a place. - This is a fantastic place to stay. 3 bedrooms, with amazingly comfortable queen size beds. 2 bathrooms, lounge, dining room, library and laundry. There is also very new central air conditioning, which is easy to use. There is a great coffee machine with supplied coffee pods, as well as a dish of cadbury roses chocolates. The traffic on the street outside is not audible in the bedrooms. This is the very best place we have stayed in. For dinner, The Metropolitan Hotel has great food and is 50 m down the street. Nothing. Everything was outstanding
- Cindy (10/5): Beautiful apartment in great location can't wait to visit again - Location was great, beautifully decorated, had everything you need for a weekend away. Was difficult getting the keys out of the lockbox
- Julian (10/5): - Tremendous location, good value
- Bruce (10/5): We loved the old world charm - Close proximity to everywhere we had to be - clean and roomy
- Johan (10/5): Perfect stay, except the poor cleaner did not spot the change over. - This place deserves 6 stars, funky, good library, nice chocolates, quality knifes and forks, lovely beds, good reading lights, it has soul, nice fluffy towels, real soap, etc,etc Unfortunately the previous client stole the Samsung tv controller and cleverly left a Sony dvd controller which of course did not work especially when I opened the battery cover which had only 1 battery inside.
- Anne-francis (10/5): Unique accommodation with a taste of days past in an immaculate setting. -
- Aran (10/5): -
- Alison (9/5): Superb - Great location. Very comfortable apartment. Had everything we needed.
- Chad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (8/5): Terrific facilities in a fantastic location, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. - Loved the location and being able to use the car park at the rear of the building. We had been there two out of three nights and found the extra bathroom and laundry which we didn’t need but a great thing to have(we thought it was a locked door, maybe a small sign on the door could be a help?? Woken up at 1am by noisy blokes at the rear of the building but understand it was probably miners coming home from a shift/pub maybe??
- Karen (10/5): Enjoyed our stay. Comfy beds and lots of room. The balcony was an added plus - The location was great and we could walk to local shops and food places. Loved the antique furniture and facilities. Nothing
- Steve (10/5): Best stay in town. - Lovely spacious old Bank built 1918. Nothing
- Carmel (10/5): A real, historic gem in West Wyalong - Wow! What a wonderful, historic, spacious apartment, a real gem. Beautifully furnished and decorated, great quality linen and luxurious towels, very comfortable beds, kitchen had everything we needed except paper towel. Great that we could catch up on a little bit of washing and loved being able to sit on the verandah to enjoy a wine & dinner. Very central position, easy to find and access, very close to food outlets. Best short stay accommodation we've experienced over the last month and 17 other sites. Highly recommend! Nothing! Loved it all!
- Jo (10/5): Great old building with everything needed for a comfortable stay - So much space in a lovely old building. Great to have lots of extras like good coffee pods, real milk and chocolates. Library/reading room. Stairs. High pillows
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional - Majestic accommodation in rhe heart of West Wyalong. Central to the town and steeped in history. Fantastic facilities and some special extras not often offered by other stay locations. Will definitely be back.
- Deb (10/5): Perfect place to stay! - A beautiful property with lots of character in the heart of a gorgeous historic town.
Very clean and comfortable and I would highly recommend a stay here. Not suitable for people with mobility issues as the accommodation is upstairs
- Lisa (9/5): Amazing place and great value for money. - Located right in the middle of the main street, it was perfectly located. Even though it was in the main street, the traffic noise was minimal. The house is very unique, it was clean, comfortable and had everything you could ever need in it. Nothing not to like really.
- Youngatheart (9/5): Best place to stay in West Wyalong - Best place to stay in West Wyalong, walk over the road to the Empire Hotel for dinner. Sit on the veranda in the evening and watch the twos and froings of the country folk as the sun sets :) Great historical building in awesome condition, very comfortable..
- Leonie (10/5): We loved the comfort and full kitchen equipment. We felt trusted with someone's home. - Not applicable. Coffee, tea and spreads were provided but not breakfast. There was nothing we didn't like. It was a home away from home - even a library and games.
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - The little extras like spreads, milk in drudge, coffee and tea, washing powder, washing up facilities
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious apartment, very comfortable nights sleep, loads of amenities. Responsive host. Excellent stay.
- Fran (10/5): 2 nights in the Bank Main St Appartments (Oct24) - A lovely spacious, clean, comfortable, and one of the best equipped apartments I have ever stayed in. Certainly plenty of room for 3 couples, and with a large 'L' shaped verandah to enjoy the afternoon sun or have breakfast in the morning. The apartment was in an ideal location, only a 'stones throw' from 2 hotels and a Chinese restaurant for eating out. While my mate & I didn't do any cooking, all the utensils were there coupled with plenty of containers. A little basket of chocolates, left for guest consumption, was a nice gesture and a great accompaniment to an evening glass of port. Very little. A couple of minor things like some doors don't latch, and toilet seats don't stay up of their own accord for male guests. Access is only through the front door, which is on a corner and next to a pedestrian crossing. Unloading anything heavy from a vehicle means you just about have to park on the footpath, unless you want to carry it from the carport about 40m away at the rear of the building. However, its not as though you are inundated with pedestrians or traffic in a country town, so the parking laws are not broken for very long if you want to unload at the front door. Navigating a good width set of stairs is required to reach the living area above.
- Margaret (10/5): We have stayed here previously, and will again if we come this way, because it is so different and so easy to like. - We liked its history and the way this was represented in the building. Also its old-world comfort. No-one’s fault, but carrying our stuff upstairs - be nice if there was a lift
- Darien (8/5): Very good - Wonderful beds and lounges
- Kerrod (9/5): Superb -
- Bronwyn (8/5): Very good - Location. Reminiscent of younger life as banker’s family!
- Ross (9/5): A very comfortable stay in a well appointed apartment right in the heart of town. - Very comfortable apartment, generously sized. Was supplied with everything you would need and also plenty of basic food stuff provided. Very tastefully decorated and in a very convenient central location. Nothing really.
- Julia (10/5): Nostalgic comfort - Charming old apartment…..very clean with comfy bed and an adequate kitchen…. Fabulous wraparound verandas for warmer weather. Nothing
- Benjamin (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed a short stay. Old bank was full of charm and a unique spot to stay! - Location was great - right it town with a nice balcony to have a cuppa on. Loved the space - comfy and homely. NA - our stay was great!
- Taust (10/5): Huge central apartment with atmosphere. - Very central location, the bedrooms were quiet, large balcony, dining room, lounge room, library, washing machine and dryer, full kitchen and AC was great. Parking is in carport at rear and seemingly not secure - except the police station is nearly opposite!
- Jenny (10/5): Amazing apartment with lots of history. - So roomy, very clean and well equipped. Everything you could wish for was provided. Enjoyed the history of the building. The bed was very comfortable and warm.
Enjoyed sitting on the verandah watching the world go by. Would highly recommend. Everything was just spot on. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Leanne (10/5): Ideal for a large group plenty of room. Location is great! - Very neat and tidy. Wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect location and facilities for our needs. - Beautiful spacious building, spotless and comfortably furnished. Great coffee machine. Cosy library nook . Enjoyed extended living space and views from the wide verandah . Perfect for family stay.
- Maureen (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (10/5): We enjoyed it and would choose it again - Heritage atmosphere, spaciousness, comfort All good
- Barb (10/5): Lovely accommodation wish our stay was longer. - Location right in main street which was great.
Renovated beautifully. With extensive library and games.
All amenities in kitchen one would need, just like home.
Lovely old balcony to sit and watch the world go by. A lift instead of stairs. Which wasn't really a problem unless disabled.lovely
