The building is beautiful, full of charm and character, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. Our room was spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated, mixing rustic style with modern comfort. The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh local ingredients. And that sunset view over Durrës? Simply unforgettable. A peaceful, stylish retreat with wonderful hospitality — the perfect way to end our trip. Highly recommended!
• Marko (10/5): Tuscan paradise in the Albanian countryside. - This amazing place completely blew me away, I was not expecting a villa so peaceful and beautiful. We came with the idea to visit Durres but decided to stay and enjoy the spectacular view and cuisine. I was sad to leave the next day and wish I could have stayed longer. Everything was just perfect, the location, charming staff, delicious food, comfortable room, etc. This was by far the best place we stayed in during our Balkan road trip. I hope to return one day and I wish Sacro e Profano a lot of success and to last a long time!
• Christian (10/5): In jeder Hinsicht sehr empfehlenswert - Wunderschöner Ansitz umgeben von Olivenhainen. Herrliche Terasse mit Fernblick. Chef Giovani steht selber in der Küche und serviert Abendessen auf Gourmetniveau zu guten Preisen. Auch das Frühstück war sehr vielseitig und auf top Niveau. Hervorzuheben ist ist die Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft von Chef Giovani. Man schläft in sehr schönen, komfortablen Zimmern im Landhausstil. Meine absolute Empfehlung
• Elke (9/5): Stilvolles Agritourismo mit hervorragender Küche - Sehr gute moderne Ausstattung, freundliches Personal, wunderschöne Aussicht. Phantastische Küche zu wirklich angemessenen, nicht überteuerten Preisen. Außerdem sehr süße Katzen :-) Holprige Anfahrt im Albanian Style ohne Ausschilderung des Parkplatzes. Beim Lunch war der Service leicht überfordert, aber trotzdem sehr nett und bemüht.

Il posto è meraviglioso, sembra un casolare toscano (anche le colline intorno sembrano toscane!) a poca distanza da Tirana. Niente.

• lisa (10/5): An amazing experience - Beautiful location with amazing views. Very laid back and organic and extremely relaxed approach. A very different experience. The room was very comfortable and had an overhead fan which was a lovely contrast to air conditioning units. Fantastic evening meal and breakfast . Our hosts were perfect. The window only has a very light curtain so I had to to use the bedspread as a makeshift curtain.

• Rutten (10/5): Warm, authentic and full of character. - Our stay at Sacro e Profano was magical. From the moment we arrived, we knew we made the right choice. This was exactly what we were looking and hoping for. The design of the place is absolutely beautiful — every detail thoughtfully designed by Giovanni — with breathtaking views (360, as you’re on top of a hill). Giovanni and his wonderful family, along with the entire staff, created such a warm and inviting environment. They went above and beyond, their kindness and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression on us. The rooms were stunning — even more beautiful than the pictures — and the overall atmosphere struck the perfect balance between warm energy and peaceful recharging. The whole place is a blend of Albanian charm with touches of Tuscany. It felt intimate, authentic, and far from anything mass-produced. Lastly, Giovanni’s food was another highlight and made with love. We highly recommend it and would return in a heartbeat.

Perfectly situated just an hour from Tirana airport - great for a first or last night in Albania (or for several nights even). We arrived really late but the kitchen stayed open until we arrived, much appreciated - thank you! Everything was lovely!

• Marie-alice (10/5): Luxurious stay. Great food. - We had a wonderful time at sacro e profano. It is an elegant property with a very large outdoor terrace with panoramic views of the sea, surrounded by olive trees, pomegranate trees, garden and vines. 20 min from Durres. The restaurant is tastefully appointed, the decor classy. The owner and chef Xhovan (Giovanni) and his maitre d and the lady who welcomes you are very professional. We had outstanding food as everything is homemade. Breakfast is the best I had in Albania (homemade brioche and bread and berry tart, eggs cooked to your order, cured meats and cheese). We had dinner there twice. Chef made us a pesto from the basil leaves in the garden, outside the menu. There are 7 rooms in total. We used 3. All with wooden floor and wooden furniture and good size TV. I loved the luxurious bed linen, pillows and down duvet (quite rare in Albania to have a duvet rather than a single percale sheet which isn’t always enough at night). Extremely clean. En-suite shower room was well appointed. the bed was very comfortable. There is plenty of parking. Nothing!

Our stay at Sacro e Profano was an unforgettable experience; much better than we expected. For once it gives you the idea you are in Tosacani 😁 The Restaurant is one of the best you can have in Albania . Giovani the Chief made some special dishes for us . Can’t wait to visit again . Highly recommended 👌
• Herefordshire (10/5): Exceptional - What a wonderful place to stay, although a new building, the attention to detail in the build makes it appear to have been there forever, truly beautiful with spectacular views and a fantastic outdoor area. The room & bed was extremely comfortable, with underfloor heating, ceiling fan and small fridge. (water was provided in the fridge but costs extra) The shower room has a rain shower head & also has underfloor heating and toiletries provided. The building in which the restaurant is situated is beautiful with vaulted ceilings, comfy seating and lovely lighting, and the food is absolutely superb, although we didnt have a menu the staff worked hard to explain what was being served, using google translate to help explain, the meal itself was stunning with course after course coming. Breakfast the next morning was equally excellent and the owner very friendly and welcoming. Book now before this place becomes so popular its impossible to get a table or a room. We loved all of it but suggestions would be blinds at the windows in the bedroom - there are voile curtains but they are see through with the lights on and didnt stop the sun in the morning. It would be helpful to have a menu so you know how much you are paying. The food was extremely reasonable for the quality so no complaints from us but it would have been helpful to know (this could have just been a language miscommunication on our part). The whole experience in the restaurant and the room was exceptional
