Guest Reviews
- Szczepka (10/5): -
- Bernd (8/5): 4 Tage Rom, super zentral, - Lage top Weiche Matratzen
- Stergos Haskas (10/5): -
- Jemma (7/5): Great spot - aircon breakdown was disappointing. - Location was great . Unfortunately one of the aircons didn’t work in one of the bedrooms / wasn’t great for Summer!
- Anonymous (10/5): No issues. Fab for a family holiday - Great location
- Mate (10/5): Perfect location, huge apartment, great host - Perfect location in the center of the city. We could easily walk everywhere! The host was great! We will come again! I highly recommend it!
- Denise (8/5): Great place to use as a base for exploring Rome. - Great communication, well described.
- Susan (9/5): Fantastic location, excellent hosts, and a very clean, family friendly property. - The most outstanding feature of this property is the location - around the corner from the Spanish Steps; 5 min walk to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona; 10-15 mins walk to Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese; 30 min to Colosseum, and 45 min to the Vatican. The street is adjacent to Via del Corso, but in one of the rare one-way lanes that is private and quiet, and not part of a major tourist thoroughfare. There are plenty of brilliant restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and gelaterias surrounding the apartment block. We loved La Strega Nocciola Gelateria Artigianale Firenze e Roma (gelateria across the street), La Pecora Pazza for dirt-cheap pay-by-slice pizza (you must try the arancini), and Origano Trevi restaurant on Via di Sant'Andrea delle Fratte. You'd struggle to find a better location anywhere in downtown Rome. The apartment is located on the top level so is very quiet. As others have noted, you need to climb 4 flights of stairs to reach the apartment, but we did not find this to be a problem, even with suitcases. The stairs were definitely tiring at the end of a long day exploring, but we are all reasonably fit and well, so it was fine for us; however, I would think very carefully about this aspect of the property if any of your party is significantly unfit or suffering from a leg injury. The bedrooms are all a good size and easily accommodated a family of five. The beds and pillows were comfy, and the thermostat easily kept the rooms at a pleasant temperature. It was great to have two bathrooms (one is an ensuite), a very well-stocked kitchen, and excellent Wi-Fi. The bathrooms had hair dryers installed, which was really convenient, and the hosts provided wash packs in each room (containing slippers, soap, shampoo/conditioner sachet, makeup remover pads, Q-tips, and a shower cap), which were much appreciated after a very long flight. The apartment was very clean, and the hosts were very friendly and answered our questions promptly. The shower is tiny. I am quite petite but still had trouble moving around freely in the shower cubicle without bumping into a shower screen. I couldn't wash my hair without my elbows hitting a shower screen and found it hard to keep my hair out of the water while applying shampoo and conditioner. Fortunately, the shower has a dual showerhead so you can switch between the rain shower fitting and the handheld fitting. There aren't any shelves in the cubicle so you need to keep your toiletries on the floor of the cubicle. This in itself isn't a problem, but can be challenging to bend down and reach them when there is so little room in the cubicle to do so. On the plus side, the water pressure and temperature were both great. As others have mentioned, there is no lounge area in the apartment, which makes it difficult to sit around and relax together at the end of the day, unless you are happy to sit at the dining table. There is plenty of room in the two main bedrooms for a couple of couches, should the host consider installing them. Similarly, the apartment would benefit from a washer/dryer. There is plenty of space in the kitchen for one, and this would be extremely handy, especially for long stays such as ours. The apartment also doesn't have a bin, so you have to keep your grocery bags and dispose of them at pick-up locations on the street.
- Denise (9/5): Fabulous apartment. Excellent location. - Just needed a washing machine to make it perfect !
- Tina (8/5): Very good -
- Johannes (9/5): Superb - Perfect location for visiting Rome we were mostly outside, so we did not really miss something.
- Robert (9/5): Worked out to be a great location with better than average accommodations. - Great location to see all the major sites and food. Easy walking distance to most of them. 4 flights of stairs was hard to climb after walking all day. Only had 2 small air conditioning units to cool 4 rooms. One room did not have anything to cool the room. Only had 2 bathrooms, one with a tub and one with a shower for 6 adults. We knew these things but didn’t expect the high humidity . Lesson learned.
- Aname (9/5): Superb - Great location!
- Zhanar (7/5): Good -
- Douglas (4/5): Excellent location but we expected a better apartment considering its "exceptional" description. - Location Air conditioning was poor, fan broken (was replaced promptly though), baseboards were on the floor in the dining room area, single shower was much too small, no place to put soap, water flow as too light to make the tub useful, property owner should have given us notice that the apartment was on the 5th floor with no elevator. We would have rented another property had we been informed on this beforehand.
- Corrado (9/5): Good experience . Would stay again but on a lower floor. - Great location. Easy access to all amenities . Shopping near by. We did not like climbing 68 steps to our apartment 3 times a day. Also had to carry our luggage up and down . We were not told this until the day of our arrival. Also $6 euro per person per day is a but much.
- Anthony (9/5): Overall charming apartment in excellent location. Manager helpful but avoid their offer to arrange transportation. Just - Excellent location near spanish steps. Clean and good for large group of up to 8z No common sitting area. Really just a good place to sleep but when in Rome you’ll be on the go so no issue! Fourth floor walk up so prepare to climb!
- Ron (10/5): Super Location - Super Location, comfort rooms
