• Jennifer (10/5): Absolutely wonderful and worth it - We stayed at Carmen de Teada over Easter with our two children and it was honestly one of the highlights of our entire Spain trip. We booked the one-bedroom and had an incredible, direct view of the Alhambra—something you really don’t fully appreciate until you’re sitting there with it right in front of you. The apartment itself was extremely well thought out. We didn’t even need to use the pull-out couch—just the bed and couch worked perfectly for our family of four. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and thoughtful extras like makeup remover. When we arrived, Santiago had also left a basket with fruit, meat, crackers, and stocked the fridge with beers, water, and Cokes, which was such a nice touch after a travel day. Santiago was one of the best hosts we’ve had. He was incredibly responsive on WhatsApp—whether we had a quick question, needed help coordinating a taxi, or just general timing questions, he replied almost immediately and made everything very easy. The location was perfect—an easy walk to the main areas of Granada. If you’re worried about navigating cobblestones with luggage, don’t be. Santiago gives very clear instructions, and it’s less than a two-minute walk from the drop-off point. One unexpected bonus: the shower. All four of us were able to shower back-to-back with consistent hot water, which was definitely not our experience elsewhere in Spain. The garden and outdoor space make the property even more special, and honestly, the view from the apartment is so good that you don’t even need to fight the crowds at Mirador de San Nicolás. Out of the four places we stayed in Spain, this was easily our favorite—and one of the best stays we’ve had across both Airbnb and Booking.com. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Santiago and Carmen de Teada. Nothing

The amenities were thoughtful (toiletries, chocolate by the bedside, complementary drinks, and welcome basket), bed and pillows comfortable, and views majestic. We stayed in the unit with glass doors that open out to a view of the Alhambra and the gardens below. It felt magical and uniquely Granada. We would happily return. Nothing it was fantastic.

He provided valuable directions to the parking garage and kept in touch until we pulled in- providing excellent service to ensure we parked correctly and we were guided to our front door! Nothing. There are quite a few steps up to the property from the river and church which may be an issue for less mobile people but a great way to get some exercise. There is an arts quarter a bit further up from the apartment which is wonderful.

Die Lage ist top, der Ausblick sensationell, es ist sehr ruhig und der Garten ein Traum! Santiago, der Gastgeber, ist äußerst hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Er ist ein besonderer Mensch, der für seine Carmen eine große Leidenschaft hat und das Ganze dadurch abrundet. Es fängt an mit dem persönlichen Empfang, der Einweisung und dem Begrüßungspaket. Auch die Verabschiedung ist wieder persönlich. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Absolut nichts!

• Tarfah (10/5): Excellent - This is a special place. It’s not the type of place you drop off your luggage at, go out all day and only return to for sleeping. This place invites you to contemplate. It’s your secret garden tucked away in plain sight, in the hustle and bustle of Albiacin at your door step but out of earshot. The blanket of greenery in the garden extends to merge with the forest of Alhambra, and in a way, although you’re some distance away, you feel you’re part of Alhambra. The apartments are beautiful with calmness and warmth. It has everything you need. The owner is the kindest and sweetest person. He will welcome you warmly and let you enjoy peacefully. As a regular in Granada, this is definitely one of my top choices to come back to. Nothing.

The property is up a hill so getting to it does require a bit of effort, but that's how you get the views and even my 78 year old mother said it was worth it. The bathroom sink was a bit awkward to use as the faucet is in the way when trying to wash your face. And the bathroom mirror in one of the apartments was so high up it was impossible for us short people to see ourselves. But these small things were far outweighed by the positives of the property and we would 100% book again if we were to come back to Granada.

• Katie (10/5): Wow! Best apartment in Granada! We will be back! - We loved everything about this place! The location was amazing, the apartment was beautifully decorated and the terrace was stunning with views of the Alhambra. Guests even have access to the beautiful garden. The apartment is in the most picturesque historic sections of Granada. The host Santiago felt like family and thought of everything to make us feel welcome with a huge welcome basket on our arrival.
• Jackie (10/5): Step back in time to an old home in Granada - The view is to die for. The gardens are a haven of green tranquility. The personal touch! Santiago met us at the road to the property and helped us with our luggage across the cobbles. The apartment is part of his childhood home, filled with antiques and thoughtful touches and beautifully renovated. The bed is super comfortable and there was plenty of space to unpack. The welcome basket and teas drinks provided were the cherry on the cake Nothing. But be aware you need to carry luggage for a 200m to the door.
• Natasha (10/5): Luxurious stay with unforgettable views - The beauty of the flat with its incredible views, a lot of character but also all the mod cons. High standard of cleanliness, and the friendly host Santiago who stayed late to meet us in person. A fridge full of helpful supplies, wine and a basket of sweets greeted us on arrival. Two buses to the centro and the Alhambra are 2 min walk away but I could have just spent all day in the flat and garden it was so relaxing, like home! Leaving!

• Marieke (10/5): Carmen de Tadea is a little Andalucian treasure! - Carmen de Tadea is a little Andalucian treasure. As a lovingly restored traditional Granada family home, converted into accomodations for visitors, it makes you feel you are staying with Spanish relatives. Beautiful interiors with Spanish antiques, combined with state of the art modern facilities and a lot of attention to detail to provide guests with as much comfort as possible. Spotlessly clean. Located in the centre of the Albaicin, it is easy to walk to Alhambra (20 mins of charming meandering Moorish streets: do be prepared for some uphill/downhill walking in Granada, bring very sensible shoes) and you have the city's most famous 180 panoramic view of the fort at a 2 minutes' walk up around the corner. Not that you need it: just from your own balcony the view of Alhambra is glorious and changes all day round (they light it up after sunset, quite spectecular!). The courtyard garden with its ancient cipres trees is a haven of peace and birdsong. Sometimes a flamengo guitarist playing in an alley street nearby adds to the music of the place. The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. Should I ever feel I needed another dose of the stunning beauty of Alhambra, I would be So fortunate as to be able to stay at Carmen de Tadea again! Absolutely nothing.

• Dariusz (10/5): !!!Highly recommended!!! - Carmen de Tadea is a house for those who dream of a place to enjoy during their stay. It is a beautiful place, tastefully decorated. Location: on the Albaicin hill, facing the Alhambra. White houses, narrow streets, no car traffic. The house is located about 50 m from the street where taxis and mini-buses run (and 150 m from the most famous viewpoint of the Alhambra). No tourist noise. The nearest parking (paid) is less than 100 m away. The most atmospheric area in Granada. House: old, traditional, completely renovated. All (three) apartments face south, i.e. with a view of the castle. A house "behind the wall", with a beautiful, two-level garden, trees, even a fountain. The interior of the house is decorated in a historical style. This is an interior with a soul. And at the same time modern, the entrance to the house and apartments is by cards, the place is monitored. Apartment (the one with a large terrace, called Arrayan). Atmospherically furnished with old furniture, but also a modern kitchen - fully equipped with appliances (including Nespresso, tostada grill). Large terrace with table and chairs, and two deckchairs. And with a wall fountain/sink. Everything is beautifully lit at night. Unusual layout of the apartment, the bedroom is like in a tower, windows on three sides of the room. Bathroom - separate from the toilet and shower - has plenty of space for cosmetics. Quiet, birds singing or leaves rustling when it rains. The nice sounding Spanish word "disfrutar" (“enjoy”, but sounds like “squeezing juice from fruit” to me) probably best describes the mood in which one lives in Carmen de Tadea. Hosts: nice, in the morning you can meet them personally at home, they care a lot about the quality of the place. Everything in the apartment is beautiful, new, absolutely clean and fragrant. Thank you María José and Santiago! We remember this place with love. We recommend it for a quiet, romantic stay, when you have time to appreciate it all...

• Imran (10/5): Romantic idyll in the heart of Albaicín - Location was incredible - best views of Alhambra day and night. The garden was an absolute delight. The owners were welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. They had a lovely welcome basket for us and were there to receive us in person. The rooms and living area were immaculately and thoughtfully furnished with very high-end furniture and linens Like with everything in the Albaicín quarter it is very difficult to bring luggage up and down when arriving at the property and leaving.

• Rosa (10/5): A wonderful experience worth to live - The place is gorgeous! So many beautiful details in the design of the place, in every single room. We absolutely loved the experience! The apartment, the views, the garden… left us speechless and living like in paradise. We weren’t even playing any music because of the serenity from the soft chirping of the birds and the water sound of the fountains, from its huge garden. It was so calm and relaxing. And it’s in the heart of Albaicín so we were just easily walking to everywhere. Everything in the apartment was brand new and they took care of every single detail, adding extra treats here and there. We felt very welcome. Also, we met the owners. They are an adorable couple, super gently and loving. We truly felt like at home in those six days stay. Thank you, guys, for everything! Everything was great!

• Henry (10/5): Perfect with incredible views of Alhambra - The view of the Alhambra from the lounge area is amazing. The apartment has the perfect blend between old and new - very modern kitchen and bathroom with traditional doors and decorations. Great location in Albacin too, there's nothing I can think of to improve the stay
• Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - I highly recommend this property. We had a superb time in this extremely well furnished, stylish and spotless apartment. The view of the Alhambra is breathtaking, especially at night from the sitting room. The apartment is situated within a beautiful garden setting, which we made use of relaxing from the bustle of this extraordinary city. And to top it off, the host is a wonderful local. His communications were clear throughout our stay - excellent all round. Thank you Santiago.
• Katarzyna (10/5): Paradise - This is the best choice if you want to feel the wonderful atmosphere of Granada and Albaicin. Beautifully furnished apartment with modern, elegant and high quality equipment. The house has a beautiful traditional style of Granada architecture. The view from the bedroom and from the unique terrace on the Alhambra Palace is amazing. The house has been restored with modern comforts (bathroom and kitchen) but preserving the characteristic and historical elements and furniture or paintings. All this makes you feel the traditional atmosphere in a luxurious setting. Carmen de Tadea is surrounded by a charming garden in the style of the Alhambra gardens. The quiet place, beautiful plants and murmuring fountains allow you to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. You have a 10-minute walk to the bustling city full of tapas bars. There are also 2 restaurants nearby. Use of the parking place that the owner offers it is very convinient. The owners are very nice and very helpful. There is no better place to enjoy what Granada has to offer. It was really great time. .
• Ana (10/5): Gorgeous and comfortable Carmen with Alhambra view. - This Carmen is a dream. Exquisite restoration of a traditional Granada Carmen, full of antiques and all the comforts you could need. I can’t recommend enough this place. Santiago and María José are the best host. The location is also perfect and the views of the Alhambra breathtaking. Nothing, everything was perfect.
